SittersJob Summary:
To provide enhanced support for patients at risk of falls by assisting with mobility, toileting, and proactive engagement. This role is designed to strengthen fall prevention efforts and improve patient safety through trained, hands-on support..
This position is a step up from the Patient Care Attendant or Sitter role, allowing some hands-on assistance of and fall prevention for patients.
Position Hours:
Three (3) 12-hour shifts
6:45 a.m. - 7:15 p.m.
Rotating based on unit need. No specific workdays or days off can be guaranteed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients and intervene safely when they attempt to get out of bed or chairs without assistance.
- Assist patients with toileting needs, ensuring timely response and safe transfers.
- Reinforce fall prevention strategies, including the use of 5Ps, K Cards, and “No Pass” protocols.
- Maintain open communication with nursing staff regarding patient behavior, safety concerns, and care needs, while also participating in interdisciplinary huddles and safety briefings.
- Accurately document observations and interventions in accordance with hospital policy.
TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES:
- CLINICAL COMPETENCIES (Novice): Demonstrates competence with safety precautions and safe ambulation practice interventions, practical applications of minimal difficulty.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proficiently performs all Associate Patient Service Specialist job responsibilities.
- Schedules appointments and procedures through clinical communication, work queues, and patient portal messages
- Manages registration and patient work queues.
- Coordinates with patients and/or outside facilities to ensure all pre-appointment orders and consults have been received and ready to view prior to patient visit.
- Communicates with patients through the patient portal using critical decision making to route appropriately as applicable.

This position is a step up from the Patient Care Attendant or Sitter role, allowing some hands-on assistance of and fall prevention for patients.
Position Hours:
Three (3) 12-hour shifts
6:45 p.m. - 7:15 a.m.
Rotating based on unit need. No specific workdays or days off can be guaranteed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients and intervene safely when they attempt to get out of bed or chairs without assistance.
- Assist patients with toileting needs, ensuring timely response and safe transfers.
- Reinforce fall prevention strategies, including the use of 5Ps, K Cards, and “No Pass” protocols.
- Maintain open communication with nursing staff regarding patient behavior, safety concerns, and care needs, while also participating in interdisciplinary huddles and safety briefings.
- Accurately document observations and interventions in accordance with hospital policy.

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) plays a vital role in delivering specialized care and managing the health needs of patients in either inpatient, ambulatory, or a combination of both settings. With advanced training and expertise, the APP focuses on subspecialized care, including chronic illness and disease management, ensuring continuity of care throughout the patient’s healthcare journey, which may span multiple years. This role involves specialization in malignant hematology, where the APP provides expert consultation within their area of expertise as appropriate. DEPARTMENT SUMMARY
The Division of Hematology and Oncology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center conducts research and treats all types of adult cancers including solid tumor cancers and hematological (blood) disorders, as benign hematologic disorders such as coagulation disorders and non-cancerous blood diseases.
With over 80 faculty members representing a broad range of professional expertise, our dedicated team of professionals is committed to hematologic and oncologic care through:
- Research to better understand and treat cancers and benign hematologic diseases
- Translating VICC laboratory research into therapies to help people with cancer
- State-of-the-art patient care and personalized cancer therapy
- Clinical trials, including Phase I drug development with subsequent Phase II and Phase III testing
- Training future hematology and oncology doctors and researchers
- Cancer chemotherapy, pharmacology, and biological therapy with an emphasis on solid tumors

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Description:
The Regulatory Oversight Specialist – Research (non-supervisory) is responsible for planning and leading projects related to the management of clinical research. Reviews will include but may not be limited to performing prospective review of study protocols, billing grid development and research charge segregation activities. Study activities reviewed evaluate compliance with CMS regulations for billing of research studies (Medicare Coverage Analysis, claim presentation, and billing of charges to federal grants/sponsored projects. Review of EPIC charge transactions and chart documentation will be required as part of work assignments.
The Regulatory Oversight Specialist – Research position wis expected to work independently and have strong analytical and regulatory knowledge related to the management and billing of clinical trials and clinical registries. The position will require intermediate to expert skills in assembling and analyzing data in Excel, reviewing professional and hospital charging and billing/collection transactions in EPIC, and providing accurate and concise PowerPoint summaries to various departments including Revenue Cycle, Office of Legal Counsel, Office of Compliance and Research Administration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt is home to over 15 fellowship-trained faculty and two ACGME fellows. Vanderbilt Health is seeking an experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our outpatient therapy team at One Hundred Oaks. This role provides evaluation and treatment services for children with developmental, sensory, neuromuscular, and upper extremity conditions in a collaborative pediatric environment.
We are seeking a clinician who can confidently manage a pediatric caseload, develop individualized treatment plans, partner closely with families, and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Therapists with experience in sensory integration, developmental therapy, upper extremity rehabilitation, Early Intervention, NDT, SIPT, or other pediatric specialty areas are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans

Job Summary
Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt is seeking a Pediatric Acute Care Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) on a PRN basis to provide feeding therapy, swallowing therapy, dysphagia management, speech-language services, and pediatric rehabilitation for infants, children, and adolescents across inpatient and outpatient settings.
This role supports medically complex pediatric populations, including infants with feeding difficulties, dysphagia, tracheostomies, traumatic brain injuries, developmental and communication disorders, and children requiring Video Fluoroscopic Swallow Studies (VFSS). Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Tennessee SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)

The Tennessee Initiative for Perinatal Quality Care (TIPQC) is the state’s perinatal quality improvement collaborative. Founded in 2008 through a grant from the Governor’s Office, TIPQC engages hospitals, clinicians, payers, families, and communities to drive meaningful change, improve health outcomes, and strengthen the quality of care throughout pregnancy, delivery, postpartum, and beyond for all Tennessee families.
Position Summary
In your pivotal role of Business Intelligence Developer, you will partner closely with TIPQC’s data team to develop dashboards, organize and standardize data, and streamline quality improvement (QI) data submission. This includes working directly with rural hospital IT teams to support EHR-based data pulls that make reporting easier, more reliable, and more timely.
You will also serve as the data manager for one TIPQC QI project. In that capacity, you will design data models used for reporting and analytics, develop ETL processes to support project data flow, and utilize BI tools to meet end-user reporting needs—helping translate data into actionable insights that support measurable improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management, Analysis & Reporting
o Collaborate with faculty and the data team to support the creation, implementation, testing, and revision of project data forms and reporting outputs across the lifecycle of TIPQC initiatives.
o Gather, organize, manage, and statistically analyze data to support implementation of perinatal QI projects and monitor progress toward maternal and infant health outcome goals.
o Conduct quality improvement data analysis using statistical analysis software and spreadsheet/database tools; produce routine and ad hoc reports for multiple QI projects.
o Design data collection tools, survey instruments, and related protocols (including data dictionaries/definitions and validation procedures) to support reliable and standardized data capture.
o Perform day-to-day management of databases and datasets, including data cleaning, monitoring data entry completeness/timeliness, preparing analysis-ready datasets, and coordinating with other analysts as needed.
o Monitor and respond to stakeholder and participating hospital feedback in a timely, efficient, and service-oriented manner.
o Provide training and support to participating hospitals on data systems, data entry expectations, and interpretation of reports and findings.
o Consult with TIPQC staff, faculty, and other subject matter experts on data results; provide interpretation support to QI project participants to inform improvement actions.

o Assist with planning and coordination for in-person meetings and the annual TIPQC conference.

With guidance and training, is responsible for coordinating the approval processes and conduct of oncology clinical research protocols/studies in the Holowatyj Laboratory & Team, such that the integrity and quality of the clinical/translational research is maintained, the study objectives are accomplished, and the research is conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice Guidelines, federal and sponsor regulations and guidelines, Vanderbilt Policy and Procedure and research protocols. Manages screening, implements recruitment procedures, consent, enrollment, randomization, and study conduct from planning through study closeout. Performs or implements processes to assure study-related procedures are performed as required and objectives and timelines are met. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conveys a basic knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures, and regulations governing human subjects' research and incorporates them in the conduct of research.
- Possesses a basic awareness of the Federal regulations and guidelines governing the protection of human subjects (e.g., FDA, OHRP, GCP/ICH guidelines, and HIPAA regulations), before engaging in human subjects research.
- With assistance, prepares and processes new IRB research proposals, amendments, continuing review applications, and adverse event reports according to institutional and departmental policies and procedures and federal regulations.
- Communicates a basic knowledge and understanding of the management and implementation of clinical/translational research operations.

- Performs packaging and ships study specimens (blood, urine, etc.) to the sponsor or laboratory in accordance with sponsor and shipping guidelines and regulations, maintaining appropriate documentation.
- With direction assists with study completion, study closeout and archiving of study files, ensuring completeness and continuity of all study data, performing ongoing checks of clinical/translational data that has been entered on the case report forms (paper or electronic) or in reports.

Provides leadership in optimal product preparation and dosing of medications, and provision of patient specific drug information to include patient specific dosing. Aides in the prevention and reporting of medication errors and adverse drug reactions according to policy. Supports quality relationships with health care professionals, families, and patients; and the pharmacist is actively involved in being further educated and providing education in all appropriate ways..
Position Highlights
- Retail environment filling discharge prescriptions, completing refills for complex patient populations, setting up mail, and helping families of patients directly.
- Clinical component includes evaluating doses and indications with their MAR, submitting prior authorizations, and making interventions with providers directly.
- The position can vary among a variety of shift times to cover scheduling gaps and PTO.
- Candidates must have regular availability for afternoon to closing shifts (e.g., between the hours of 1:00pm - 11:00pm).
