* Perform high-volume spay/neuter surgeries for shelter animals.
* Perform soft tissue and other surgical procedures based on experience and organizational needs, including amputations, mass removals, cystotomies, abdominal exploratory surgeries, and enucleations.
* Perform urgent and emergency surgical procedures as needed.
* Perform dental procedures and/or develop additional dental skills as appropriate.
* Provide appropriate post-operative care and follow-up for surgical patients.
* Recognize, evaluate, and appropriately manage surgical complications.

As a UCP Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will not only treat children with cerebral palsy, but also help children with autism, sensory processing disorder, genetic disorders, in-utero substance exposure, pediatric feeding disorders, developmental delays and many other diagnoses that affect the ability of a child to live life without limits. SLPs with a specialty in Feeding or AAC will have opportunity to work within multiple service models. You will develop treatment plans to help children with childhood apraxia of speech, speech sound disorders, fluency disorders, receptive disorders, resonance disorders and diagnosis specific speech disorders. You will evaluate language development and determine the best course of treatment. Your support team will help you obtain barium swallow and hearing test results as well as medical documentation needed for a comprehensive assessment. You assess children’s needs quarterly and adjust the plan of care accordingly. You keep detailed documentation regarding billing, insurance, evaluations, progress, treatment, and discharge. Each week you meet with the team at a Team Meeting. You develop personalized home activities to empower families and help parents make informed decisions about care. The NP will complete comprehensive palliative assessments, manage symptoms and medications, develop patient-centered care plans, facilitate goals-of-care and advance care planning discussions, and coordinate care across THEMA Home Health, Hospice, community providers, facilities, and other members of the patient’s care team.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete initial and follow-up palliative care assessments
* Evaluate symptom burden, disease trajectory, functional and cognitive status, caregiver needs, safety concerns, and goals of care
* Diagnose and manage palliative symptoms within NP scope and competency
* Order appropriate medications, labs, diagnostics, DME, referrals, home health services, and hospice evaluations
* Perform medication reconciliation, deprescribing review, opioid-safety assessment, and high-risk medication monitoring
* Conduct goals-of-care discussions, advance care planning, family meetings, and care-plan updates
* Identify changes in condition requiring escalation
* Recognize hospice eligibility triggers and initiate appropriate hospice consultation

Provide meaningful, individualized occupational therapy services for students - helping them build the functional, academic, sensory, and life skills they need to succeed in school and beyond. As a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will design and implement treatment plans, conduct evaluations, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and guide therapy services across educational settings. What You'll Do
Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with students’ IEPs and clinical needs
Provide direct OT services to students across school-based settings
Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and related service providers to support student goals and accommodations
Develop, update, and monitor IEP goals, including participation in annual and triennial reviews
Complete data collection, progress monitoring, and clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner
Recommend adaptive strategies, environmental modifications, and assistive equipment as needed
Provide consultation, training, and guidance to school staff and COTAs when applicable
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and district regulations related to occupational therapy services
What We're Looking For
Required:
Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license in Arizona(or eligibility to obtain)
IVP fingerprint card
Preferred:
Experience in school-based or pediatric settings supporting children with learning, developmental, sensory, or social-emotional needs
Strong understanding of IEP development, special education processes, and intervention planning
Experience with sensory integration, fine motor development, and adaptive strategies
Excellent organizational, documentation, and clinical reasoning skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
Ability to work in a mission-driven, student-centered environment

Requirements and Qualifications

· Active Nursing license
· In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures and willingness to follow them at all times
