The New Graduate RN Residency Program at Banner Health has received the highest accreditation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Practice Transition Accreditation Program® (PTAP). Banner Health’s New Nurse Experience (NNE) provides a collaborative learning environment where you can refine your nursing skills, enhance your knowledge, and transition from a new graduate to a fully competent, professional nurse at Banner Health.
About our program:
The Banner Health New Nurse Experience is a full-time Registered Nurse position that assists you in transitioning from a new graduate to a fully competent, professional nurse at Banner Health. This program provides a collaborative learning environment in which you can refine your nursing skills, enhance your knowledge, and develop new personal and professional relationships.
Successful candidates will be placed in specific units at Banner Health facilities to be clinically mentored by unit staff and educators. We offer all of our New Grads multiple Career Pathways and development opportunities to achieve your long-term career goals. Whether you are wanting to go into a specialty unit, leadership roles, non-bedside nursing opportunities, or any other sector of nursing - we will help you get there! The expectation is that you will stay on your NNE unit for at least 12 months to get a full and comprehensive training experience! New Grads will also need to live within a reasonable commute distance of the facility they are hired into.
Most new nurses will work three 12 hour shifts, which will include weekend and holiday rotations with other staff members.
Program Activities Include:
· Clinical experiences with a preceptor
· Training in our state-of-the-art Banner Simulation Center
· Competency and skills assessment and verification
· Orientation to the Cerner electronic medical health record system
· Patient care skills lab that provides hands-on experience with equipment
· e-Learning modules
· Resources for professional and personal development
Requirements to Apply Online:
· Recent or Upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program
· BSN is preferred - open to ADN at select locations
· Current BLS card (through either American Heart Association, Red Cross, or ASHI) or ability to obtain certification before a start date
· No More than 12 months of RN experience
· Previous healthcare experience is preferred

Benefits/Compensation:
This is a full time, benefitted, and paid position. Enjoy a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential and an 18%-night shift differential when applicable. All New Grad RN positions are eligible for Banner Health’s “Total Rewards Compensation Package”, which includes Health/Dental/Vision insurance (if employee desires), PTO/Sick time accrual, 401K, and a long list of other benefits. Benefits begin the 1st of the month following your start date.
Unit Description:
Previous acute care experience as a CNA or Patient Care Assistant is highly recommended!
The Cardiac Medical Progressive Care and Heart Failure Unit is a 48-bed unit that provides specialized care for patients with diagnoses including angina, sub-acute MI, and heart failure. Many of our patients receive diagnostic tests and interventional treatments such as cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, stent placement, or ultrafiltration (used for HF patients no longer responding to diuretics). Other interventional treatments include permanent pacemakers, and internal cardiac defibrillators (ICD). This department has a very committed Heart Failure Team that works cohesively with our nursing team to ensure we are providing the most optimal care for this critical population. Ratios on this unit are typically 1:4.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members. Reviews diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers. Completes assessment and reassessments according to patient need and as outlined in policy.
2. Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family and health team input. Initiates a plan of care based on patient-specific needs, assessment data and the medical plan of care. Goals for patient are realistic, measurable and developed in conjunction with the patient/family. Considers the physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age specific and educational needs of the patient in the plan of are. Plans care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team. Reviews and revises the plan of care to reflect changing patient needs based on evaluation of the patient’s status.
3. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the activities of the health care team. Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements. Delegates appropriately, and provides nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients by other licensed nurses and other personnel. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for whom care is provided.
4. Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed. Evaluates patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members. Evaluates patient's response and the effectiveness of patient teaching.
5. Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record. Documentation is legible, timely and in accordance with policy. Documentation reflects objective/subjective data, nursing interventions and patient's response to treatment. Notes physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
6. Provides care based on the best evidence available and may participate in research activities within clinical practice. Participates in unit or facility shared leadership. Interacts and participates in the education, role development, and orientation of facility personnel, patients, students, families and visitors. Promotes/supports growth of others through precepting and mentoring when appropriate.
7. Contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes through timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and safe care. Actively participates in the improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes. Such activities may include participating in professional organizations.
8. In some roles, this position may supervise staff and work flow of the department.
9.Interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts, such as employees of other health care institutions, community providers and agencies, concerning the health care of the patient. Interacts with other health care providers in numerous settings in order to report and ask for or clarify information. Also works with clergy to provide spiritual support. Synthesizes and prioritizes data from multiple sources to provide support for the human response of the patient and family to changes in health status.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations. Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting. Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area. Banner Registry and Travel physician practice positions require a minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse in a physician practice or an acute care setting.
In a Home Health setting, team members must be able to operate personal vehicle and possess a valid driver's license. Auto insurance coverage is also required to be active and maintained.
Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital, BTMC Behavioral, and BUMG, BUMCT, or BUMCS in a Behavioral Health clinical setting that serves children must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. An Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed upon hire. Employees working for Banner Home Care AZ must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. Employees working at Banner MD Anderson on the Banner University Medical Center Phoenix campus must possess a State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. This is a requirement of the Whole Family Counseling Program held at this specific facility. Employees working in the Banner McKee Senior Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit must possess an Colorado Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. Employees working in any Banner Staffing (BSS) Behavioral Health role in Arizona must possess a State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.

The Acute Pharmacy Technician performs medication packaging, distribution, compounding, and record-keeping under pharmacist supervision. Supports customers, maintains a compliant cleanroom, and assists with staff training while providing safe, age-appropriate care. This position is open to candidates who meet the qualifications for an Acute Pharmacy Technician. Hospital pharmacy experience is preferred. Experience with sterile compounding, automated dispensing cabinets (Pyxis), medication distribution, and batch preparation is a plus; however, training is available for qualified candidates.

This position will work under the supervision of the pharmacist performing routine duties in packaging, distribution, non-sterile compounding, and record-keeping of pharmaceutical supplies. Serves as a liaison between the customer and the pharmacist. Becomes proficient in preparing compounded intravenous medications, total parenteral nutrition products, and chemotherapeutic agents within compliance with USP regulations. Effectively uses pharmacy computer systems to investigate and respond to missing medication requests. Consistently demonstrates an ability to assess a situation, consider alternatives, and choose the appropriate course of action. May educate and train peer Pharmacy Technicians, Technician Externs, Technician Trainees, and volunteers. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Identifies medications and other items for reorder as necessary to maintain a continuous inventory of medications and supplies. Receives, checks-in, and restocks medications ordered through the wholesaler and other vendors verifying all quantities against invoices. Assesses practical ways to deal with shorted items and short-dated or unusable items.
2. Manages users within the automated dispensing technology database as per policy. Investigates discrepancies and troubleshoots malfunctions in automated dispensing technology.
3. Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills and is customer service oriented in all contacts with patients, visitors and staff. Responds to standard requests from internal customers. Interacts primarily with department personnel, cross-department personnel, internal customers, patients and physicians.
4. May use automated dispensing technology or requisition to restock medications to nursing and ancillary areas after checking by a pharmacist. When allowed by law and policy, and upon completion of proper training/competency assessment, may restock automated dispensing technology using barcode scanning verification devices. Restocks medications to all areas outside automated dispensing technology which may include but not limited to trays, code carts and emergency boxes.
5. Compounds non-sterile medication products. Understands and appropriately follows all product worksheets/recipes for documentation and check processes. Understands and adheres to all applicable USP compounding guidelines. Demonstrates knowledge of and consistently performs calibrations of equipment and accurately measures components for compounding. Repackages bulk medications into unit of use packaging. Completes accurate documentation of medications compounded and repackaged per policy.
6. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with all policies, laws, and regulations. Performs quality control activities such as monthly nursing unit inspections and pharmacy section checks in a timely manner. Completes documentation of refrigerator temperatures, and equipment maintenance activities as required.
7. Handles narcotic medications following all federal and legal requirements as set through policy and procedure. Understands all regulatory requirements for receiving, compounding, repackaging, and distribution for controlled substances. Consistently adheres to all storage and inventory movement documentation requirements for controlled substances.
8. Becomes proficient in performing compounding and labeling of intravenous non-hazardous compounds using proper sterile and aseptic technique as appropriate to the site of care. Understands the different product lines in sterile populations (adult, pediatric, and neonate). Completes all required environmental cleaning procedures. Documents all required tasks and other information per policy.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state of practice.
Incumbents in Arizona are also required to provide the AZ Board of Pharmacy Wallet Card at time of hire.
Ability to complete moderate to difficult mathematical calculations using a hand-held calculator is required. Strong customer service focus, exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, prioritization capabilities, superior problem-solving skills, and ability to multi-task. Must have knowledge of computer software, particularly medication management information system software, Microsoft applications and automated dispensing systems. Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills for interfacing with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, and other contacts.

POSITION SUMMARY

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.

This position also participates in and/or leads various system level work around service lines, revenue integrity, discipline teams, etc. This position oversees financial decision-making and serves as a member of the facility/entity senior leadership team. CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Provides leadership in the achievement of financial and operational performance objectives and expectations including revenue growth, operational margin targets, effective expense management and overall efficiency measures. This includes the role of mentor for finance staff as well as increasing financial understanding throughout the facility in order to provide a framework for sound business decisions.
4. Provides leadership, supervision, guidance and development for staff, articulating and demonstrating an expectation for continuous quality improvement, as well as continually supporting and exhibiting company values and service standards. Identifies and provides growth opportunities for staff.
5. Drives process improvements focused on innovative care delivery and/or operational models designed to improve clinical services, outcomes, patient throughput, and patient safety. Promotes a patient-centered, healing environment. Promotes the use and implementation of technology in the workplace in order to streamline operations, facilitate communications, and optimize work processes.
6. Ensures and fosters a high level of collaboration within a highly-matrixed team environment in order to coordinate activities, review work, exchange information, and resolve problems. Champions, models, and promotes service excellence philosophies and behaviors at the facility, regional, and system levels to enhance the overall patient experience.
7. Functions as an integral member of facility/entity operations, serving in an advisory capacity to applicable staff. In collaboration with leadership team members, directs and provides oversight regarding the strategic development, implementation, and maintenance of strong, comprehensive clinical and/or operational services and programs that meet system-wide organizational growth initiatives and the needs of patient populations in the community. This position is responsible for coordinating services with other administrators, internal legal counsel, executives, and other staff. Customers of this position are both internal and external, including leadership, staff, medical staff, regulatory agencies, and the community.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Strong knowledge and understanding of business and financial healthcare as normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or other related degree.
Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of financial operations as normally demonstrated through a minimum of five years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in a way that reinforces the organization’s mission, vision and values. Capable of providing leadership which displays a positive attitude and flexibility in changing situations, participates in identifying problems and suggesting solutions through partnering with both facility and system leaders. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively through written and oral presentations in a way that engenders understanding and trust. Demonstrates analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree and prior experience working as a CFO in an integrated delivery system or medical center preferred. Membership in industry organizations or other credentials that show ability to network and obtain peer acceptance. Additional related healthcare finance education and/or experience preferred.

Unit Description:
The Transplant PCU at Banner University Medical Center is supported by a strong multi-disciplinary team which includes: social workers, nutritionists, case managers, transplant coordinators, pharmacists, therapists, chaplains, and physicians: nephrologists, hepatologists, surgeons, hospitalists and the medical teaching staff. Focus of our care are patients with renal and liver transplant. We have close working relationship with the Kidney Center and Banner Transplant Services. This team concept provides continuity of care and teaching to promote healing so the patient can discharge in a timely manner. We are currently seeking experienced PCU Nurses but at this time we are accepting application for those that have Telemetry, ICU, Home Health, Skilled Nursing, Medical/Surgical or any other acute or critical care background.
POSITION SUMMARY

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

6. Escorts patients back to the patient exam rooms, takes vitals and patient history, may assist with patient treatment, if required by the assigned facility.

The schedule is Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm, working with a strong team that supports the community need for neurology. CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Prepares patient for exam and treatment by taking and recording vital signs, symptoms and other necessary measurements and recording chief complaint; documents pain scores as appropriate. Reports condition of patient which may be indicative of change in the patient's condition to the clinician.
2. Assists providers with exams and minor in-office procedures which could include taking patients’ blood pressure, documenting respiration and heart rate/pulse, taking temperature, as well as performing phlebotomies, ear irrigation and EKG’s. Acts as chaperon as needed. Uses universal blood and body fluid precautions at all times and personal protective equipment as needed. 3. Coordinates and manages patient care including pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions and scheduling of patients for clinic, hospital and other ancillary medical treatments and tests. Responsible for communicating test results to patient. Acts as a resource to clinician in order to provide optimal patient care. May administer medications in accordance with established policies and procedures or as directed.
4. Provides clerical support with patient/client notifications and documentation to include but not limited to complete medical records including labs, authorizations, X-Rays, hospital records and any previous care pertaining to each patient visit. Provides complete and accurate information necessary for billing related to the patient encounter in a timely fashion.
5. Maintains a clean, functional environment including cleaning and disinfection of equipment, exam rooms and storage areas. Disinfects equipment and instruments using appropriate solutions following sterilization procedures. Follows manufacturer's recommendations and OSHA guidelines in handling of hazardous substances. Performs basic maintenance of equipment and coordinates needed maintenance for prompt repairs.
6. Orders supplies as directed, stocks patient care areas. Medication ordering and tasks related to all medications (e.g. expired medications/equipment and recalls).
7. Develops and maintains effective communication mechanism with all external and internal customers. Exemplifies service orientation and the team concept in all contacts.
8. This position will complete all necessary on-boarding/orientation activities, including simulation training, as needed or directed.
9. This position works under the direct supervision of the providers. This position interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts, such as employees of other health care institutions, community providers and agencies, concerning the health care of the patient. Also interacts with physician’s offices in order to report, ask for or clarify information. Prioritizes data from multiple sources to provide support for the response of the patient and family to changes in health status.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
Active Medical Assistant Certification is required. Certification or additional training must meet the requirements for Meaningful use. BLS certification required. POSITION SUMMARY

Banner University Medical Center-Tucson has 2 Observation units, a 20-bed unit (4NW) and a 16-bed unit (1NW). The Observation Units strive to provide a highly coordinated experience for our patients and consistent care by providing ongoing, short-term treatment, assessment and reassessment while a decision is being made whether further treatment is needed as a hospital inpatient. Within 48 hours our patients will either be discharged or be admitted to a floor. As an RN on this unit, you can expect to admit, transfer and discharge patients daily. RNs on the Observation unit will participate in the PCU Academy which will provide skills to care for our hospital’s adult health population. All 36 beds have telemetry monitoring ability. Observation is a fun and very fast paced environment where nurses and physicians work collaboratively to meet the needs of our patients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

5. Optimizes patient experience by using effective customer service. 5. Performs receptionist/clerical duties to support overall operating efficiency and effective flow of communication and information throughout the department. Participates in the resolution of customer problems or collects necessary data and follows through to appropriate person for problem resolution.

This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. 6. Maintains a complete patient record with admission, transfer, and discharge information, progress notes, and consent forms. Ensures that all reports and chart forms are scanned or filed into the patient’s record. Ensures that charting forms are labeled and accessible if they are needed. Maintains adequate supplies of frequently used, patient education materials. Assists in the ordering of patient specimens. May transcribe and process physician orders effectively using the electronic medical record.
7. Maintains adequate levels of office, dietary, and medical supplies and completes requisition forms when supplies need to be ordered. Reconciles supply order upon delivery. The Banner Health New Nurse Experience is a full-time Registered Nurse position that assists you in transitioning from a new graduate to a fully competent, professional nurse at Banner Health. Successful candidates will be placed in specific units at Banner Health facilities to be clinically mentored by unit staff and educators. Unit Description:
Established in 1984, Banner Casa Grande Medical Center is a full-service, non-profit, hospital committed to providing quality health care to the Casa Grande Valley as well as the surrounding areas in a caring and compassionate environment. As an RN New Grad PCU Observation, you will support our 43 bed Medical Surgical department along with our 28 bed Observation department. You will also float to the Progressive Care Unit as needed. We employ an amazing team that is patient centered and family oriented that care for a variety of medical, surgical and observation patients.
This position will work 3x12s, Day Shift (7:00AM - 7:30PM) with a weekend (every other weekend) and holiday rotation. You will have the opportunity utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage. Enjoy an 18%-night shift differential and a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential when applicable.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. 3. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the activities of the health care team. Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements. Delegates appropriately, and provides nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients by other licensed nurses and other personnel. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for whom care is provided.
4. Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed. Evaluates patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members. Evaluates patient's response and the effectiveness of patient teaching.
5. Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record. Documentation is legible, timely and in accordance with policy. Documentation reflects objective/subjective data, nursing interventions and patient's response to treatment. Notes physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
6. Provides care based on the best evidence available and may participate in research activities within clinical practice. Participates in unit or facility shared leadership. Interacts and participates in the education, role development, and orientation of facility personnel, patients, students, families and visitors. Promotes/supports growth of others through precepting and mentoring when appropriate.
7. Contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes through timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and safe care. Actively participates in the improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes. Such activities may include participating in professional organizations.
8. In some roles, this position may supervise staff and work flow of the department.
9.Interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts, such as employees of other health care institutions, community providers and agencies, concerning the health care of the patient. Interacts with other health care providers in numerous settings in order to report and ask for or clarify information. Also works with clergy to provide spiritual support. As a key member of the Architecture Review Board, you will provide strategic guidance on security architecture decisions, establish security standards and reference architectures, and ensure security is embedded throughout the organization's technology landscape. This role is responsible for shaping the future-state security architecture while balancing business objectives, innovation, and risk management.
In close partnership with infrastructure, engineering, cloud, data, AI, and application teams, you will evaluate solution designs, assess security readiness, and provide expert guidance on secure technology implementation. You will lead architectural reviews for new initiatives, identify security risks and mitigation strategies, and influence enterprise-wide technology decisions. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in cybersecurity architecture with expertise in areas such as Zero trust, Network security, AI security, Data security, Cloud security, and Enterprise security architecture. This individual will be recognized as a trusted security advisor who can collaborate across technical and business teams while driving a strategic and scalable cybersecurity program.
Preferred candidates will have experience with AI, medical devices, and IoT/IoMT/OT security, along with expertise in SASE, SD-WAN, ZTNA, micro-segmentation, and public cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Cloud security certifications, such as CCSP, are strongly preferred.
This is a remote opportunity, Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM. An ideal candidate will reside in the Phoenix or Tucson areas.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for developing the architectural artifacts, models, patterns, and transition initiatives and activities ensuring strategic initiatives and goals are achievable, operationally efficient, technically sound, and accounted for from a cybersecurity perspective. In addition, ensures that the stakeholder cybersecurity requirements necessary to protect Banner’s mission and business processes are adequately addressed in all aspects of enterprise architecture including reference models, segment and solution architectures, and the resulting systems supporting those missions and business processes. This position has responsibility for one or more areas in cybersecurity, including threat & vulnerability management, security operations, GRC, strategy. Acting as a contributing member of the cybersecurity architecture team and center of excellence in architecture, this role will develop architectural artifacts, roadmaps, and strategy documentation. This role will educate and influence key stakeholders throughout the enterprise, acting as an advocate and steward for our information assets. This position designs solutions to resolve complex and highly complex technical and business issues related to cybersecurity.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Analyzes the business and IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and/or redundancies from a cybersecurity risk perspective and recommend solutions for improvement.
2. In collaboration with a team of architects, develops and maintains cybersecurity capability documentation, targets cybersecurity architecture and partners with IT and the Business to develop architectures in support of strategic initiatives, goals, and industry trends.
3. Serves as a credible expert advisor to executives on the appropriateness of current and future technologies based on the highest level of TCO, ROI, strategic value to the business and cybersecurity risk.
4. Maintains in-depth knowledge of business strategies and goals as well as industry trends, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity threats.
5. Develops and fosters relationships with business stakeholders and information technology management.
6. Advises functional leaders and executives making strategic investments in applications, databases, technologies, systems, services, or processes as a result of architectural development and cybersecurity risk assessment.
7. Ensures consistent adherence to standards for architectural artifact documentation and implementation.
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Banner Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess strong knowledge of business, information security and/or computer science as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor's degree.
Must also possess ten plus years’ experience in a healthcare environment or an equivalent combination of relevant education, technical, business and healthcare experience with one-year experience being in cybersecurity architecture at the enterprise-scale, preferably in healthcare. Experience with the acquisition process, including vendor selection, define requirements, contractual documentation development. Requires independent judgment, critical decision making, excellent analytical skills, with excellent verbal and written communications. Ability to think quickly under difficult or complex conditions and clearly communicate to appropriate staff; ability to balance project workloads with customer support. Requires communication and presentation skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences. Requires ability to communicate and interact across facilities and at various levels. Incumbent will have skills to mentor less experienced team members.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Four plus years technical project experience designing, developing, integrating, and implementing solutions to resolve complex technical and business issues preferred. Relevant technical/professional certification in two or more of the following areas within one year of entering the position Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), HealthCare Information Security & Privacy Practitioner, (HCISPP), CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) – Engineering (ISSEP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), SANS GIAC, or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), SABSA Chartered Security Architect – Foundation (SCF), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) – Architecture (ISSAP), TOGAF 9 Foundation.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
Estimated Pay Range:
$57.38 - $95.64 / hour
