Summary:
MaineHealth is seeking an experienced and dynamic Speech and Language Pathologist with OP feeding experience to join our innovative new pediatric feeding team. The SLP in this role will be working with our most fragile pediatric patients in partnership with our growing multidisciplinary Complex Care program. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently in our Kennebunk clinic (with support from the MMC team) and will enjoy the challenge of building this exciting new service.
This position will report to our 4 Shape Dr. location in Kennebunk
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology required.
License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as a Speech-Language Pathologist required or in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Certification in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred. Positions in Home Care will require current valid Driver's License with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.

*The role*
You will provide office-based anesthesia for scheduled surgical cases at our Portland location on Fridays, working alongside the visiting surgeon and our Portland clinical team.
Responsibilities include:
* Reviewing medical histories and completing pre-anesthesia assessments, including confirming NPO status, ASA classification, and airway evaluation
* Administering IV moderate sedation, deep sedation, or general anesthesia as indicated and as permitted under the practice's anesthesia permit
* Placing and managing IV access, monitoring the patient throughout the procedure, and documenting per standard of care
* Managing recovery and discharge, including post-operative instructions to the patient and escort

Kennebec Behavioral Health, established in *1960 *to provide comprehensive behavioral health services to Central Maine communities, named one of the *Best Places to Work In Maine* for the last *6 *years, is currently seeking full-time Access Center Clinicians to be a part of the *CCBHC *(Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic) program for our Waterville and Skowhegan locations.
