Vanderbilt University Medical Center seeks a Director IT to guide business improvements through data analysis; forecast complex resource needs; direct team to produce graphical and textual work products to meet stakeholder’s needs, including architectural diagrams, process flows, use cases, and wireframes using Unified Modeling Language (UML) standards; identify, establish, and evaluate quality assurance standards, programs, and procedures within the department; ensure the most effective operation of the unit/area through program development, process improvement, and coordination of process across functions; and meet with other technical personnel to determine causes of specific problems.
Provide strategic direction and lead the VUMC IT Media and Communications department, which is responsible for creating communications content using multiple media (email, podcasts, websites, videos, news articles, etc...) on behalf of VUMC IT. Develop an effective enterprise-wide communication strategy and track analytics.
Provide strategic direction and lead the VUMC IT Training department, which is responsible for teaching VUMC employees about newly deployed software and equipment resulting from recently implemented VUMC IT projects. Work with VUMC IT’s technical teams to create an innovative support infrastructure for distributed learning. Create enterprise, department, and role-specific training to address training needs related to the VUMC enterprise.
Provide strategic direction, coordination, and development of VUMC enterprise-wide strategic programs. Develop and present recommendations, market research, and original ideas for execution. Create executive presentations outlining directions and approach for high-visibility projects.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field and five (5) years of experience in each of the following:
• Directing a team to produce graphical and textual work products to meet stakeholder’s needs, including architectural diagrams, process flows, use cases, and wireframes using Unified Modeling Language (UML) standards;
• Collaborating with executives, cross-functional teams, and external partners to align IT objectives with business needs;
• Developing and enforcing IT processes, workflows, and strategic plans to align technology initiatives with business goals and drive efficiency; and
• Forecasting complex resource needs using data analysis.
• Position is available for up to 95% remote work. Must live within the Nashville, TN commuting area.

VEC Policy & ComplianceJob Summary:
The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst assists in the creation, coordination and execution of policy & privacy/security compliance programs across VUMC. The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst assists leadership in supporting these compliance programs that are expected to experience significant change, expansion or evolution over time.(Note: This role is available for remote work from most parts of the US and with this role we are targeting a salary range of $115k - $145k.)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in conducting cybersecurity compliance reviews and tracking compliance gaps to remediation.
Assist in development/review of cybersecurity policies and procedures.
Consult with workforce members on regulatory and policy requirements.
Assist in conducting cybersecurity control compliance reviews for international travelers.
Act as cybersecurity compliance representative on cross-functional work teams.
Assist with project/organizational risk assessments.
Develop, implement and monitor security compliance work plans for the organization.
Develop/improve processes for evaluating/documenting security compliance.
Assist in responding to third party audits (payers, research partners, vendors, etc.).
Assist in responding to internal audits (assist in managing and completing Management Action Plans (MAPs)).
Assist in developing cybersecurity training initiatives.
Prepare regular reports for executive review.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of privacy/security-related regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, GDPR and provide timely information regarding important regulatory changes to operational leaders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
Experience writing/editing policies and procedures.
Experience managing compliance documentation, including but not limited to committee charters, confidentiality agreements and annual attestations.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
Effective interpersonal, writing, and communications skills required.
Experience with US and international privacy / security-related regulatory frameworks (HIPAA/HITECH, GDPR, etc…).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Experienced with business process development / improvement.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities within the context of a complex, multi-faceted organization.
At least 3 years experience in cybersecurity.
Information Security Related Professional Qualification (e.g., CISSP, CISA, Security+, CEH, GSEC, etc.)
TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES:
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT (INTERMEDIATE): Planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific program goals and objectives.
RISK AND COMPLIANCE ASSESSMENTS (INTERMEDIATE): Ensuring compliance with established foreign and domestic laws and regulations and VUMC institutional policies and procedures and recommending any necessary changes. This activity will include the independent review and examination of IT systems, architectures, data flows, etc., and the documentation and reporting of such assessments in support of VUMC programs.

VEC provides information security service solutions for securing all administrative, clinical and research operations for all of Vanderbilt Health, the largest non-government employer in Middle Tennessee.

Join a high-acuity, fast-paced Cardiac Stepdown team specializing in advanced heart failure, LVAD, and heart/lung transplant populations. This unit serves as a bridge between ICU and progressive care, caring for adult patients with complex cardiac and post-surgical needs.
Patient Population Includes:
LVAD (Ventricular Assist Device) patients
Heart & lung transplant (primary heart, secondary lung)
End-stage heart failure
Post-cardiac surgery
Intermittent acute cardiac stepdown & progressive care
General cardiology “melting pot” (wide variety of diagnoses)

Our research is centered on understanding how RNA-binding proteins and spliceosome components operate during pathogen sensing and innate immune activation. Using an interdisciplinary toolkit—immunology, RNA biology, molecular genetics, genomics, and bioinformatics—you’ll help uncover how macrophages generate immune responses that are rapid, robust, and precisely regulated.

The Women and Infants Services Department at Banner Ironwood Medical Center focused on providing family centered care. This is an all in one department specialized for a family-centered healing environment. Level II facility with 24-hour coverage provided by Obstetricians, Certified Nurse Midwives, Neonatologists, and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners; in addition to 24 hour in-house coverage by Anesthesia. There is a Certified Lactation Consultant to help support breastfeeding along with the observation of the “Golden Hour” at birth where baby is skin to skin with mom for bonding. This unit serves low to moderate risk patients with private rooms, Labor, delivery, and recovery for vaginal deliveries all in the same LDR room. We assist with approximately 90 deliveries per month. Our location also has two OR suites for scheduled and unscheduled cesarean sections as well as additional operative procedures in the immediate postpartum period. We have 8 LDR rooms, each with a special area just for the family support, 2 OR suites, 2 bed PACU, 4 bed triage unit, 6 bed Special Care Nursery, and 23 Postpartum rooms.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members. Reviews diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers. Completes assessment and reassessments according to patient need and as outlined in policy.
2. Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family and health team input. Initiates a plan of care based on patient-specific needs, assessment data and the medical plan of care. Goals for patient are realistic, measurable and developed in conjunction with the patient/family. Considers the physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age specific and educational needs of the patient in the plan of are. Plans care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team. Reviews and revises the plan of care to reflect changing patient needs based on evaluation of the patient’s status.
3. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the activities of the health care team. Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements. Delegates appropriately, and provides nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients by other licensed nurses and other personnel. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for whom care is provided.
4. Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed. Evaluates patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members. Evaluates patient's response and the effectiveness of patient teaching.
5. Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record. Documentation is legible, timely and in accordance with policy. Documentation reflects objective/subjective data, nursing interventions and patient's response to treatment. Notes physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
6. Provides care based on the best evidence available and may participate in research activities within clinical practice. Participates in unit or facility shared leadership. Interacts and participates in the education, role development, and orientation of facility personnel, patients, students, families and visitors. Promotes/supports growth of others through precepting and mentoring when appropriate.
7. Contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes through timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and safe care. 8. In some roles, this position may supervise staff and work flow of the department.
9.Interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts, such as employees of other health care institutions, community providers and agencies, concerning the health care of the patient. Interacts with other health care providers in numerous settings in order to report and ask for or clarify information. Also works with clergy to provide spiritual support. Synthesizes and prioritizes data from multiple sources to provide support for the human response of the patient and family to changes in health status.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations. Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting. Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area. Our unit specializes in caring for women throughout the childbearing cycle. Low and High-Risk Obstetrical patients are evaluated and treated in Labor and Delivery during all phases of the childbearing cycle for management of a variety of clinical conditions. We care for healthy mothers with well babies, as well as for mothers with complex diseases and high-risk pregnancies such as: preeclampsia, diabetes, multiple gestation, and fetal anomalies.

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members. Reviews diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers. Completes assessment and reassessments according to patient need and as outlined in policy.
2. Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family and health team input. Initiates a plan of care based on patient-specific needs, assessment data and the medical plan of care. Goals for patient are realistic, measurable and developed in conjunction with the patient/family. Considers the physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age specific and educational needs of the patient in the plan of are. Plans care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team. Reviews and revises the plan of care to reflect changing patient needs based on evaluation of the patient’s status.
3. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the activities of the health care team. Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements. Delegates appropriately, and provides nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients by other licensed nurses and other personnel. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for whom care is provided.
4. Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed. Evaluates patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members. Evaluates patient's response and the effectiveness of patient teaching.
5. Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record. Documentation is legible, timely and in accordance with policy. Documentation reflects objective/subjective data, nursing interventions and patient's response to treatment. Notes physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
6. Provides care based on the best evidence available and may participate in research activities within clinical practice. Participates in unit or facility shared leadership. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.

·Interprets physician referrals and completes musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and/or integumentary evaluations utilizing appropriate methods.

·Monitors and evaluates outcomes and appropriately adjusts the individualized treatment plan based on the patient's response to treatment and provides status updates to physicians. Identifies factors affecting patient's physical and psychosocial comfort and attends to these needs.
