Collaborates with the health care team to coordinate patient and family interventions across the continuum of care, removing barriers and promoting efficient and effective use of resources. Assists patients and families in establishing patient specific goals, both long term and short term. Facilitates appropriate follow up care and/or refers patients (within the designated patient population) to the appropriate next level or site of care. Serves in an advocacy role on behalf of patients, families, and caregivers to ensure safe healthcare. Assists in developing and meeting key Pillar outcomes and system improvement goals including financial, satisfaction, and clinical as the nursing component of the care coordination model. Assists in the nursing component of developing and meeting key Pillar goals including finance, satisfaction, clinical quality of care, innovation, and growth across the continuum of care..

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assesses and identifies patients with complex clinical needs that require a coordinated plan of care.
- Develops case management plan that includes strategies or alternative interventions required to attain optimal patient and family specific outcomes.
- Analyzes progress on the plan of care, identifies variances, and intervenes utilizing process improvement methodologies to remove barriers and progress care.
- Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of the practice.
- Demonstrates leadership skills and acts as the key information and education resource for the interdisciplinary team as related to caring for complex needs and securing appropriate services.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
- Treatment Planning (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of treatment planning and possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering treatment planning services without requiring support and instruction from others.
- Case Management (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of case management in practical applications for complex clinical care coordination. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering results without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job.
- RN Access Patient Education (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of patient education in practical applications of a complex nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering patient and family education services without requiring support and instruction from others.
- Evidence-Based Practice (Intermediate): Demonstrates ability to integrate evidence from multiple sources and determine if a practice change should occur. Shares knowledge with peers and other clinical team members independently.
- Nursing Patient Assessment & Evaluation (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of patient assessments and evaluations in practical applications of a difficult nature. Conducts primary care patient interviews and physical examinations. Conducts inquiry with a thorough series of questions when patients state an ailment or complaint in order to accurately identify and elaborate on the problem. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to role model and coach less experienced peers.

MRI ImagingJob Summary:
JOB SUMMARYPerforms all aspects of Magnetic Resonance Imaging including but not limited to neuro, dynamic under the direct supervision of the Radiologist. He/She is required to provide high quality examinations in accordance with the protocols and policies of the Imaging Department while providing safe compassionate care to the patient. Shall be proficient in the operation of all equipment associated with the performance of scanning, including the MRI unit, its accessories, injectors, teleradiology, monitors and laser camera. Reports directly to the Director of Imaging. Is accountable for the professional and technical ability to perform high quality examinations with minimal supervision and within the protocols and guidelines set by the Department of Imaging Services. He/She has the responsibility of protection and safety to themselves, the patients and co-workers. He/She is expected to maintain high standards of technical competence and be an example and assist other technical personnel and student radiographers within the department. Technologists are required to participate in on-call coverage for the modality as part of the essentials of the job requirement.

The sign-on bonus is not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past twelve months. The sign-on bonus is only available for full-time positions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Use MRI equipment to create cross-sectional image scans of patients to help doctors diagnose and treat illness or disease
• Interact directly with patients and physicians
• May administer intravenous injections of contrast dyes
• Maintain safety measures that are specific to MRI
• Communicate with the rest of the care team as needed
• Ensuring that patients are comfortable and safe
TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
• Anatomy & Physiology Knowledge (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate anatomy and physiology knowledge in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
• Radiology (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate radiology services in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
• Compliance (Novice): Can explain and apply basic statutory instructions in normal situations on the job. Understands the principles upon which the rules and regulations are based. Appropriately escalates problems relating to rules and regulations in timely and effective manner.
• Patient Documentation (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate patient documentation in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Generally works under the direction of others while accomplishing assignments.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Department of Nursing Strategic Programs is dedicated to serving the VUMC Health System. The Vanderbilt Medical Center Staffing Collaborative supports nurse staffing needs as a system-wide resource. The Staffing Collaborative has created a new structure that allows alternative nursing employment at VUMC. Like a travel nurse, the Staffing Collaborative will allow Nursing staff to work 13-week assignments within a specific unit at VUMC. Our services range from organ transplants, joint replacements, and minimally invasive cardio-thoracic/vascular surgery to reconstructive plastic surgery.

Position Qualifications:
Required: Graduate of an approved specific discipline OR successful completion of a surgical technologist training program during the applicant's service as a member of any branch of the armed forces of the United States.
Required: Min. 1 year of relevant work experience.
Required: Certification from one of the listed issuers below:
NBSTSA CST – National Board of Surgical Technologist and Surgical Assistants, Certified Surgical Technologist.
NCCT – TS-C – National Center for Competency Testing, Tech In Surgery.
Exception: If graduate of surgical technologist armed forces training program, no certification is required.

This role is part of Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center's nationally recognized Otolaryngology team, providing advanced, comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of ear, nose, and throat (ENT) conditions. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, providers collaborate with expert specialists to deliver personalized treatment plans ranging from routine care to highly complex surgical interventions. The practice treats a broad spectrum of ENT disorders, including airway stenosis, allergies, congenital airway abnormalities, ear malformations, facial nerve disorders, facial paralysis, hearing loss, and sinus disorders, ensuring patients receive leading-edge care across all aspects of otolaryngology.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinates surgery schedule with patient, physician and operating room, in support of surgery scheduling function.
• Verifies patient eligibility and coverage for procedure, obtain precertification's, and discuss potential financial obligations with patient.

Key Responsibilities:
Acts as a member of the operating room team by assisting with the room preparation, setup and clean up.
Assist with the opening of sterile items needed for the procedure.
Identifies and obtains special items needed for the procedures.
Assists with proper room cleanup/turnover.
Assist with patient positioning to provide access to the operative site while maximizing patient safety and comfort.

Teaches the importance of aseptic technique and continual monitoring of the sterile field to less experiences staff members.
Initiate appropriate intra operative behaviors unique to first assisting.
Applies knowledge of surgical anatomy, physiology, and operative technique relative to operative procedures.
Performs positioning, prepping and draping of patient.
Provides hemostasis by clamping blood vessels, coagulating bleeding points, ligating vessels, and by other means as directed by the surgeon.
Provides exposure through appropriate use of instruments, retractors, suctioning and sponging techniques.
Handles tissue and sutures all varieties of tissue with the appropriate suture materials and suturing techniques as directed by the surgeon.

You will work as part of a RN team to care for Progressive Care/ Telemetry acuity patients received from the ED admit and ICU downgrades.
As a Registered Nurse in our Progressive Care Telemetry, you will be in strong partnership and collaboration with our cohesive staff of healthcare professionals. You will be taking care of patients in a fast-paced environment that requires critical thinking and strong assessment skills. POSITION SUMMARY
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members. Reviews diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers. Completes assessment and reassessments according to patient need and as outlined in policy.
2. Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family and health team input. Initiates a plan of care based on patient-specific needs, assessment data and the medical plan of care. Goals for patient are realistic, measurable and developed in conjunction with the patient/family. Considers the physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age specific and educational needs of the patient in the plan of are. Plans care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team. Reviews and revises the plan of care to reflect changing patient needs based on evaluation of the patient’s status.
3. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the activities of the health care team. Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements. Delegates appropriately, and provides nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients by other licensed nurses and other personnel. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for whom care is provided.
4. Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed. Evaluates patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members. Evaluates patient's response and the effectiveness of patient teaching.
5. Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record. Documentation is legible, timely and in accordance with policy. Documentation reflects objective/subjective data, nursing interventions and patient's response to treatment. Notes physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
6. Provides care based on the best evidence available and may participate in research activities within clinical practice. Participates in unit or facility shared leadership. Interacts and participates in the education, role development, and orientation of facility personnel, patients, students, families and visitors. Promotes/supports growth of others through precepting and mentoring when appropriate.
7. Contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes through timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and safe care. Actively participates in the improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes. Such activities may include participating in professional organizations.
8. In some roles, this position may supervise staff and work flow of the department.
9.Interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts, such as employees of other health care institutions, community providers and agencies, concerning the health care of the patient. Interacts with other health care providers in numerous settings in order to report and ask for or clarify information. Also works with clergy to provide spiritual support. Synthesizes and prioritizes data from multiple sources to provide support for the human response of the patient and family to changes in health status.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations. Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting. Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area. Banner Registry and Travel physician practice positions require a minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse in a physician practice or an acute care setting.
In a Home Health setting, team members must be able to operate personal vehicle and possess a valid driver's license. Auto insurance coverage is also required to be active and maintained.
Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital, BTMC Behavioral, Banner Home Care/Hospice or Boswell Skilled Nursing Facility must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. Welcome to the VPEC clinic, the clinic is located at Vanderbilt Health at One Hundred Oaks, 719 Thompson Lane Suite 21100 Nashville, TN 37204. We provide preoperative anesthetic evaluations for individuals undergoing elective surgery for the adult population. We are looking for highly motivated individuals that would like to join a growing clinic. Our excellent, patient centered care is directed and/or delivered by a collaborative team made up of Attending Anesthesiologist’s, Resident Physicians and Nurse Practitioners. The Leadership Team is comprised of a Medical Director, Administrative Director, Clinic Manager, a lead Clinical NP. Clinic staff members include Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Patient Services Representatives. Various support resources are also available, such as, social work, referral specialists, laboratory and radiology. We are committed to providing excellent service to our patients and a supportive and caring work environment for our staff.
Nurse Practitioner (FNP, ANP, AGPCNP, AGACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Obtains and documents a health history; performs and documents complete, system-focused, or symptom-specific physical examination, assessment and plan of care.
- In collaboration, provides healthcare services for primary, acute and complex care of patients and manages patients’ overall care, identifying expected outcomes for diagnoses.
- Orders, performs, interprets and collects data using appropriate assessment techniques, relevant supporting diagnostic information and diagnostic procedures where indicated.

- TVC specializes in the dispensing of infusions for the treatment of cancer to inpatients and outpatients.
- The pharmacy is open 365 days a year, Monday - Friday 6:00am - 8:00pm and Saturday/Sunday 6:30am - 5:00pm.

Key Responsibilities
Reviews chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy drug orders to ensure the safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medications.
Provides outstanding patient care by optimizing medication preparation and resolving medication-related problems.
Prepares and dispenses medications, provides drug information and manages medication therapy in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and hospital policy.
Supervises the activities of assigned support personnel and verifying the accuracy and appropriateness of all medications prepared by support personnel prior to dispensing to patients or dispensing to healthcare providers for administration to patients.
