We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Behavioral Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, providing behavioral therapy and support tailored to their unique needs. Your expertise in applied behavior analysis and patient care will be essential in helping clients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments and diagnostic evaluations for clients.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
* Provide direct behavioral therapy to children and individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
* Collect and analyze data to monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
* Maintain accurate medical documentation, including intake forms, medical records, and progress notes, while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
* Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
* Offer training and support to caregivers on effective behavioral strategies.
* Stay informed about best practices in special education and behavioral health.
*Experience*
* Proven experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities.
* Strong background in applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques.
* Familiarity with medical terminology, patient assessment, and medical documentation processes.
* Experience in data collection methods relevant to behavioral health interventions.
* Knowledge of special education practices is preferred but not required.

Position Purpose:
As a Residential Direct Care Advisor in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities department at Pittsburgh Mercy, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a Direct Care position, centered on providing hands-on support to residents in their daily lives. Your primary responsibility will be to provide compassionate and personalized care, ensuring the well-being and happiness of residents within our residential care facilities. By fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, you will contribute to the overall mission of Pittsburgh Mercy to empower individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives.
What You Will Do:
- Individualized Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans based on thorough assessments, collaborating with residents, their families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure personalized and effective support.
- Daily Living Assistance: Provide hands-on assistance and guidance to residents in daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and recreational activities, fostering independence and self-sufficiency.
- Emotional and Behavioral Support: Offer empathetic and responsive support to individuals facing emotional or behavioral challenges, employing effective communication and de-escalation techniques to create a calm and safe environment.
- Community Integration: Facilitate community engagement and integration for residents, organizing social and recreational activities both within and outside the facility, promoting social skills development and a sense of belonging.
- Advocacy and Collaboration: Act as an advocate for residents, liaising with external agencies, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and holistic care. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to address residents' evolving needs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree OR High School Diploma/Equivalence and 1 year of paid direct care experience.

24 hours weekly on day shift. 2 twelve-hour shifts. Weekend commitment is every other weekend.
Pay Range:
$19.80 - $29.70Essential Functions
- Observes, reports, and documents signs and symptoms or changes in patient behavior to charge nurse.
- Interacts with patients therapeutically.
- Assists, initiates, and participates in social and recreational activities, group therapy, patient teaching groups, and other group activities.

Medical imaging plays a pivotal role in the delivery of excellent patient care at Banner Health. This position assists technologists and/or nurses in department by performing non-technical, patient and procedure-related duties in accordance with department/facility policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for a variety of clerical and administrative support functions and customer service for an assigned patient care area which promote an organized, efficient delivery of care to patients.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Performs a variety of tasks and functions associated with the department’s daily operations, including but not limited to, greeting patients, medical staff and the public, answering incoming telephone calls, scheduling appointments, entering orders and providing general information to customers. Participates in the resolution of customer problems or collects necessary data and follows through to appropriate person for problem resolution. Refers complex inquiries to the appropriate department or staff. Provides ongoing clerical and administrative support.
2. Enters patient information into the computer, scans documents into PACS. Maintains a complete patient record with admission, transfer, and discharge information, progress notes, and consent forms. Ensures that all reports and chart forms are scanned or filed into the patient’s record. Ensures that charting forms are labeled and accessible if they are needed. Maintains adequate supplies of frequently used, patient education materials. May be responsible for QC/validations. Assists in facilitating requests for patient medical records.
3. Provides support in the acquisition and distribution of digital patient records. Digitizes, formats, and uploads film-based or digital images into PACS. Maintains accurate filling system as required based on established department protocols and procedures.
4. Fulfills requests for images and reports ensuring availability in system, hard copy (film), and/or CD as required and follows proper protocols for releasing confidential patient information.
5. Receives patient in applicable systems, confirms patient demographics and insurance information and performs insurance verification when required. May be required to calculate and collect copays, deductibles, and self-pay. Totals charges on patient’s super-bill at check-out. Enters pending discharges into the system. Coordinates patient appointments for procedures and treatments that may be required prior to timely discharge. Processes patient discharges. Coordinates transportation to care centers and residential homes as requested by patients or physicians.
6. Prints physician schedules, super-bills, labels and other applicable forms in preparation for next business day. Pulls and files patient charts and prepares new patient charts as needed. Prints and files transcription notes. Reconciles charge tickets to each day's schedule, identifies incomplete tickets, missing charge codes or missing diagnosis and notifies clinical staff. Forwards completed tickets and/or billing package to the business office or billing company.
7. Assists technologists and nurses in pre and post procedure room preparation by obtaining necessary supplies and assisting patients as necessary. Ensures procedure rooms are stocked appropriately. Understand sterile procedure and assists with setting up sterile trays, where applicable. Adheres to radiation safety policies. Escorts patients back to the patient exam rooms, takes vitals and patient history; may assist with patient treatment to include peripheral IV insertion, IV discontinuation and Point of Care Testing (POCT) if required by the assigned facility (completion of Banner’s peripheral IV insertion course and validation of skill must be completed prior to any peripheral IV insertion and discontinuation performed. Completion of Banner’s POCT education and validation of skill must be completed prior to any Point of Care Testing being performed).
8. Maintains adequate levels of office, dietary, and medical supplies and completes requisition forms when supplies need to be ordered. Reconciles supply order upon delivery.
9. This position assists in the operations of the medical imaging department under direct supervision with technologists and nurses in department. Incumbents work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment with a strong focus on customer service. Must navigate a variety of separate computer programs at any given time and handle multiple demands on time. Internal customers: All levels of medical imaging and nursing management and staff, medical staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. External Customers: regulatory and health agencies, non-clinic providers and facilities, vendors, patients and family members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Certification for BLS is required.
Must be able to exercise good judgment, effectively communicate, and use discretion with patients, staff and the general public. Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy is required. The position requires knowledge of commonly used office software and keyboarding skills. Good organizational skills are essential in prioritizing and coordinating various responsibilities simultaneously. Must have the ability to handle ongoing face-to-face contact with patients and staff while functioning in a busy medical office environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience as a transporter, EMT and/or nursing assistant preferred. Working knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. Previous experience working with electronic medical records and insurance is preferred. Knowledge of filing and/or retrieval systems preferred.

The Huntersville Emergency Department cares for both pediatric and adult patients, with an emphasis on pediatric services. This position is the first point of contact at healthcare facilities and assists patients with the administrative aspect of gaining access to medical treatment. This position is in a hospital-based setting which includes Emergency Dept, Inpatient, Obstetrics, Outpatient, etc. Responsible for in person patient intake and registration, providing superior customer service, accurately identifying, and obtaining authorizations patients’ insurance, verifying eligibility and benefits, generating patient estimates for services rendered, financial counseling, and collecting patient liability. CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Verifies patient’s demographics and accurately inputs this information into EHR, including documenting the account thoroughly to maximize reimbursement and minimize denials/penalties from the payor(s).
2. Proficiency with multiple services including, but not limited to inpatient, observation, emergency, obstetrics, surgery, imaging. This position may cover services 24/7.
3. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of insurance guidelines for all services. Proficiently verifies, reads, and understands insurance benefits.

8. Provides a variety of patient services and financial services tasks. May be assigned functions such as transporting patients, training new hire employees, recapping daily deposits, posting daily deposits, or conducting other work assignments of the Patient Access Services team.
9. Works independently under regular supervision and follows structured work routines. Works in a high-volume, fast paced, clinical environment which requires to ability to be adaptable, critical thinking, and independent decision making and to prioritize work and ensure appropriateness and timeliness of each patient’s care. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position is responsible for providing personalized coordination, clarification and communication of all financial aspects of care continuum, including insurance and authorization verification, registration, financial counseling and claims research for Oncology. This position partners with the clinical care team to determine financial impact for the patient and serves as the primary contact for any financial questions related to a patient’s care across the entire continuum of their treatment, ensuring a seamless experience for the patient and their family.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Performs pre-registration/registration processes. Partners with the clinical care team to determine initial authorizations needed based on the predicted care treatment plan. Obtains patient insurance benefit information for all aspects of the treatment, including, but not limited to, inpatient and outpatient services, prescription drugs, and travel and housing, if necessary. Assesses need for alternative coverage sources.
2. Verifies insurance coverage and obtains authorizations and notifications throughout the patient’s treatment. Obtains all necessary signatures and documentation required by the patient’s insurance plan. Accurately and completely documents all information into the patient records system to ensure maximum reimbursement. Monitors and updates information regarding insurance data, authorizations, preferred providers and changes in patient’s treatment plan. Partners with the clinical care team and insurance provider to ensure continued coverage of patient’s care and maximum reimbursement and minimized financial impact to the patient.
3. Provides financial counseling to patients and their families and serves as the primary resource throughout the patient’s treatment. Discusses benefits and other financial issues with patients and/or family members during initial referral and during continuation of care. Advises patients on insurance and billing issues and options. Explains company financial policies and provides information as to available resources and avenues for alternative payment arrangements. Assists patients, families and team members in addressing insurance coverage gaps via alternative funding options.
4. Provides financial advocacy, assistance and support to patients and families, as needed. Assists patients who are un-insured to access other funding resources and completes required documents. Maintains current working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and other program benefits and criteria, particularly as they pertain to long-term care and low-income patients. May serve as a liaison between the facility and community in making community resources available to the patient and family.
5. Acts as a liaison between patient/PFS department/payer to enhance account receivables performance, resolve outstanding issues and/or patient concerns, and to maximize service excellence.
6. Calculates patient liability according to verification of insurance benefits, collects deposits and co-payments.
7. May provide leadership and training to other members of the financial team and serves as a resource for internal and external customers.
8. Works independently under general supervision, leads and follows structured work routines. Works in a fast paced, multi task environment with high volume and immediacy needs requiring independent decision making and sound judgment to prioritize work and ensure appropriateness and timeliness of each patient’s care. This position requires the ability to retain large amounts of changing payor information/knowledge crucial to attaining reimbursement for the services provided. This position is an integral part of the care team, as they serve as the primary contact for all financial aspects of the patient’s care, both for internal and external customers. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires knowledge as typically obtained through an Associate’s Degree, with a focus in social work, healthcare administration or finance.
Requires knowledge of medical terminology and an understanding of all common insurance and payor types, authorization requirements and alternative financial resources as typically obtained through a minimum of three years of diversified experience in a hospital Patient Registration/Financial Services setting. Must have highly developed interpersonal, communications and human relations skills.
