The Labor and Delivery Unit at Atrium Health Cleveland has 8 labor rooms, 3 triage rooms, 1 OR suite and 1 PACU bed, while the Mother Baby Unit has 19 rooms for couplet care, antepartum, GYN surgery, pediatrics and 5 Special Care Nursery beds for newborns that need a higher level of care. We serve our patient population alongside a highly skilled team of physicians, midwives, pediatric hospitalists and anesthesiologists. Our exceptional group of teammates “bring it home” for our patients daily. We offer specific training to assist our new graduate nurses and certification courses to enhance the experience of experienced team members. The ideal candidate for our team is caring, compassionate, flexible, and has strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
We’re Looking For:
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Job Description:
The Enhanced Scheduler is responsible for registering and scheduling patients at Intermountain Healthcare facilities system-wide ensuring that processes and procedures exceed customer expectations. This position enhances the patient experience with one telephone call to schedule and register for services. The Enhanced Scheduler reviews insurance benefit information, estimated costs, and payment options with the patient. Also obtains or reviews all necessary demographic, clinical, procedural, and prep information with the patient or representative. This position also enhances the Provider experience by offering a single point of contact for the referring offices. The Enhanced Scheduler acts as a liaison between the physician office and facility departments across multiple service lines within the enterprise.

Job Essentials
- Maintains the surgery schedule, providing necessary information to patients and physicians.
- Coordinates, registers and schedules appointments for patients according to availability.
- Conducts patient pre-certification on proper insurance approval for appointments and medical care.
- Ensures all pre-operative required tests needed prior to surgery, are scheduled and completed.
- Coordinates and ensures necessary equipment is ordered, room availability/scheduled, pre-surgery medication, etc. is arranged prior to scheduled procedure.
- Communicates detailed information and answers patients' questions regarding surgery preparation instructions, arrival / departure instructions relative to procedure.
- Schedules any necessary follow-up appointments, as directed by physicians.
- Receives and screens calls relating to problems that may arise due to date changes and any reasons for cancellation.
- Escalates non-routine issues to the practice manager or physician.
- Greets patients. Answers phones, takes messages, returns calls and provides needed information, while documenting all phone calls accurately and completely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Schedules patient appointments for visits, procedures, diagnostic tests, referrals and/or consultations.
- Registers patients. Confirms, enters, and/or updates all required demographic data on patient and guarantor on registration system.
- Follows procedures when identifying patients.
- Obtains copies of insurance card(s), forms of ID, and signature(s) on all required forms. Verify information on appropriate accounts to determine insurance coordination of benefits, pre-certification/prior-authorization. Complete the Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) questionnaire when applicable. Verifies insurance to determine coordination of benefits and obtains authorization and/or referrals as required. Screens for non-covered services and waiver of liability (ABN) through automated screening at time of service.
- Informs self-pay patients of liability due and prepayment requirements. Prepare estimate of procedures, calculates advance payment requirements on previous or bad debt and current balances.
- Refer potentially eligible patients to financial counseling and/or contract eligibility vendor(s). Refer complex or non-compliant patient financial issues to Clinic Manager or Revenue Service Center.
- Collects patient payments and provides accurate receipt. Posts payments in system. Reconciles receipts with cash collected and complete required balancing forms. Documents patient account notes for all interactions/transactions.
- Maintains department and/or individual work queues and reports as required.
- Prepares medical records for patient appointments by compiling information from various sources to include authorizations and non-Epic documentation. Accurately scans medical records as required for Medical Group or specialty office.
- Promotes mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Two (2) years related experience in a health care organization is required

Position Purpose:

What you will do:
- Communicate and transcribe orders for appropriate clinical colleagues in an accurate and timely manner.

- Performs comprehensive patient assessments (physical, psychosocial, nutritional, functional, safety, spiritual, cultural, educational). Makes nursing decisions based on patient status and care needs.
- Administers medications and treatments safely via multiple routes (oral, IM, SC, ID, IV, inhalation, topical, ocular, optic, sublingual, nasal) and documents accordingly.

POSITION PORPOSE
The ED Case Manager coordinates actions within the emergency center admission process that provide for patient's receiving the right care at the right time, in the right place.
This position is responsible for reviewing the clinical appropriateness of admission and for the communication of admission details to the Patient Access team.

Scheduled 36 hours per week with a weekend and holiday rotation.

This position supports the 38-bed, Level IV Trauma Emergency Department at Trinity Health Livingston Hospital in Brighton, a state-of-the-art facility that opened in April 2026 and serves as Livingston County's only full-service hospital.
MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Current Michigan Nursing License
Graduation from accredited nursing program: Minimum of Associates degree in Nursing, BSN required within 5 years from the date of employment in the role.
Experience: Three (3) years recent experience in case management, utilization review or a related field.
Certification: Case Management is desirable: Individuals serving as case managers for the health system shall obtain CMSA certification within three years from their date of employment in the role or be in the process of obtaining certification as a case manager.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Facilitates actions necessary for admitted or emergency center patients to receive the right care in the right place at the right time.
Assess all patients that qualify as a readmission. Determine reason for return and implement alternative to admission plan when appropriate. Document readmission information/interventions in the Epic CM system.
Identifies barriers to discharging patients from the E.D instead of admission as observation. Develops strategies and initiatives to address identified barriers. Work with other disciplines to assist in resolution of barriers to discharge. Report findings to Acute Care Flow Leadership team.
Proactively consults with the EC physician to determine eligibility for admission. Facilitates appropriate documentation for inpatient admission as required by hospital and insurance criteria.

- Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient. Refers and questions orders to the Radiologist before performing exam. Contacts ordering provider when there are discrepancies.

- Performs CT scanning and assists Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures. Practices proper sterile technique in the preparation of necessary supplies. Performs all invasive procedures in accordance with bloodborne pathogens, isolation, and infection control policies and procedures.
- Is authorized to obtain medication or contrast material as directed for administration by a licensed practitioner.
- Practices principle of radiation safety for self, employees, patients and family members. Follows appropriate radiation safety standards
- Reports malfunctioning equipment to the department director/manager/supervisor and clinical engineering/radiology engineer precautions. Maintains knowledge and skills required to work safely in an environment that can create significant exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious disease.
- Adheres to the hospital fire and safety procedures. Attends all in-service classes and completes all required safety modules.
- Performs work in an accurate and timely manner in periods of crisis and emergency situations where time is critical. Rotates shifts as required including call back, holidays, and weekends. Adheres to the Atrium Health attendance policy by being punctual and taking measures to prevent absences.
- Operates radiology computer system to include entering orders and charging procedures/supplies. Documents contrast administration in the MAR.
- Maintains assigned work area in a neat and orderly fashion. Keeps area completely stocked. Cleans all work areas to promote cleanliness in the workplace.
- Assists other medical personnel, such as anesthesia, when performing exams or services in conjunction with a CT scan.

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures including ABG, PFT’s, and various forms of ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene therapy and airway maintenance. You will be expected to be proficient with the respiratory assessment and respiratory treatment of both adults and neonates. These procedures are performed under the indirect supervision of the department’s medical director, according to departmental policies and procedures. The RRT must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, understanding and ability to care for patients of all age groups; and be sensitive to the diverse and unique needs of patients based on age, sex, race and culture.
Your Job Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
• Current Basic Life Support certification required
• Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification required
• NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support — must obtain within 1 year of hire
• Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience.
Your Job Responsibilities:
• Performs respiratory therapeutics to include oxygen administration and weaning, aerosol and humidity therapy, IPPB, Incentive Spirometry, airway maintenance, bronchial hygiene, chest physiotherapy, CPR and mechanical ventilation.
• Performs and reports prescribed cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures to include arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function studies, and electrocardiograms.
• Prepares a treatment evaluation to include a bedside respiratory physical assessment, patient interview and a review of patient’s medical record.
• Perform appropriate actions using critical thinking skills.
• Must be able to interpret the CXR, ABG, and PFT’s when reviewing patient data.
• Assembles, checks, operates and troubleshoots all cardiopulmonary equipment such as artificial airways, ventilators, oxygen analyzers, oxygen delivery devices and blood gas analyzers.
• Participates in tasks related to infection control, safety and quality assurance.
• Performs required cleaning and maintenance of all cardiopulmonary equipment and work areas.
• Utilizes appropriate customer scripting as evidenced by observation and improved patient satisfaction.
• Perform other job duties as required
