Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Certified Nursing Assistant – Long Term Care.
As a Certified Nursing Assistant – Long Term Care at MercyOne, supports the professional clinical staff by providing direct resident care. These duties may vary by shift or may be unit-specific. The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) is responsible for providing care for residents of diverse ages. Works rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Schedule:
- 4-hours; Evenings; 2:00 P - 6:00 P or 6 P - 10 P
- added to holiday rotation
General Requirements:
- Delivers assigned resident care and treatment as delegated by an RN or LPN.
- Provides direct care to adult and geriatric long-term care residents, supervising and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed while promoting independence.
- Performs or assists residents with activities including personal hygiene, bathing, transporting, range of motion exercises, dressing/undressing, feeding, changing bandages, elimination needs, and emptying drainage devices.
- Safely ambulate residents who are able, reporting to the charge nurse or supervisor when ambulation becomes difficult or unsafe.
- Responds to resident calls and anticipates resident needs. Assures resident safety and comfort through use of safe patient handling techniques, regular rounding, environmental maintenance, equipment maintenance, and other appropriate safety measures.
- Calculates intake and output. Measures vital signs. Makes entries to resident health records as consistent with scope of job duties and in compliance with company policy.
- Initiates or assists with emergency support measures (i.e., cardiopulmonary resuscitation, protecting resident from injury).
- Performs post-mortem care.
- Prepares residents and rooms for admissions and transfers.
- Observes and reports information regarding any change in physical/mental condition, behavior, or status of the resident to the nurse.
- Collects and labels specimens.
- Other duties as needed and assigned by the manager
Education:
- Must be 16 years old
- Certified Nurse Aide certification with a minimum of 75 hours training
- Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter – Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certified within six (6) weeks of hire.

Position Purpose:
The Surgical Technician, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, will provide patient care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. Under the RN’s direction, sets up, and maintains the surgical field and assists the surgeon during operative procedures.
What you will do:
- Assists in meeting goals and initiatives for surgery department; such as, but not limited to room turnover and first-case on-time starts.
- Assists in training/orientation of associates as directed by the Clinical Educator.
- Maintains a safe environment for the patient.
- Maintains sterile techniques.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of a surgical technology program, holds a certificate of surgical technology through the NBSTSA, NCCT or graduate of a school of practical nursing.
- Licensure / Certification: If a graduate of a school of practical nursing, current license in good standing to practice as a practical nurse in the State of Ohio.
- BLS healthcare provider training required.

Utilizing complex techniques and/or products to deep clean equipment and areas
Machine scrubbing corridors and floors; moving equipment in corridor to properly clean floors

Position Purpose:
The Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer is responsible for performing Echocardiography diagnostic testing as per Accreditation Guidelines. Reports preliminary findings for physician interpretation, Functions within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the organization.
What You Will Do
Reviews physician orders to ensure correct procedure and correctly identifies patients.
Patient Care: Performs all studies according to policy and procedures and standards established by Accreditating body. Abnormal pathology reported appropriately. Explains procedures to patients, answers patient's questions. Ensures comfort of patient. Assists with patient transport as needed.
Documentation: Obtains pertinent health history. Enters accurate and complete data in diagnostic testing equipment and documentation system. Ensures accuracy of reports prior to dispatch.
Collaboration/Communication: Communicates pertinent patient data to appropriate team members. Collaborates with other departments to provide optimum patient care.
Equipment Resource Management: Knowledgeable of all equipment pertinent to specific area of testing. Able to perform basic trouble-shooting. Participates in evaluation of new equipment.
Initiative: Responsible for personal professional development. Maintains registry status or actively pursues registry. Responsible for completion of annual competencies. Participates in accreditation/re-accreditation process.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Education Required. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred
Licensure / Certification: Registered as a Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible.

BLS certification required.
Capable of lifting, turning patients in order to transport and position them for test. Additionally, be physically capable of moving the equipment needed to perform the study.
· Able to perform professional duties with minimal supervision.
