· Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms and review their medical history and referrals from doctors or surgeons
· Diagnose movement dysfunction by listening to patients and observing them as they move

We care for both inpatients and outpatients for the following types of elective/urgent/emergent service lines: Acute Care Surgery, Colorectal, General Surgery, Cardio-Thoracic, Orthopedics, Endocrinology, Neurosurgery, Urology, Gynecology, Oncology, and Vascular; as well as off-shift Endoscopy. Our nursing staff is supported 24/7 by department-based Anesthesiologists. We have the distinction of being a Certified Joint Center of Excellence as well as a Robotic Center of Excellence.

Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Nursing education program, BSN preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Michigan.

- Oversee instrument processing, sterilization systems, case cart preparation, and supply management to support surgical procedures.
- Monitor sterilization records, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with department, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
- Provide leadership in staff training, performance management, coaching, and professional development.
- Collaborate with Operating Room leadership and surgical teams to resolve instrumentation and case cart issues and ensure operational readiness.
- Assist with budget planning, inventory management, cost containment initiatives, and equipment evaluations.
- Communicate policies, procedures, and best practices while promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a resource and liaison for Sterile Processing operations to support 24/7 departmental needs.
Qualifications
- Current Sterile Processing certification required.
- Previous Sterile Processing experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities, preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sterilization processes, surgical instrumentation, infection prevention standards, and supply chain operations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and team leadership skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional education and certification requirements.
- Associate's degree in health care or science-related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
