What you will do:
The On-Site Virtual Registered Nurse (RN) is a member of the Nursing Care Team and is responsible for collaboration, communication & facilitation of optimal provision of care through a computerized &/or digital platform supporting daily management of care.
Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring & evaluation of the patient's plan of care from admission to discharge.
Utilizes clinical knowledge, critical thinking skills & the principles of case management & adult education to coordinate, implement & support the plan of care.
Ensures a seamless, effective, efficient transition of care across the continuum.
Responsible for monitoring quality metrics specific to the department & ensuring complete & accurate documentation in the patient record.
Performs the roles: 1) mentor; 2) clinician; 3) educator; 4) consultant/collaborator; and 5) navigator.
What you will need:
Baccalaureate Degree in the Science of Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment.
Valid driver’s license where required by assignment.
Specialty credentialing & educational degree according to clinical nursing practice specialty area.
Minimum five (5) years of RN experience; health condition management, which must include adult condition management.
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.

3E:This 19-bed Progressive Care Unit specializes in caring for patients with complex cardiac conditions. Common diagnoses include congestive heart failure (CHF), chest pain, and atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular response (RVR). This telemetry-equipped unit provides continuous cardiac monitoring and has the capability to manage cardiac drips and stable ventilator patients. Nurses in this unit are highly skilled in cardiac care, critical thinking, and delivering exceptional treatment in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse is accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe. The responsibilities include coordination and evaluation of care, teaching and delegation of patient activities to the other health care team members via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and the environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Associates degree in Nursing required. BSN degree preferred or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years. Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required. BLS required. Previous medical surgical experience preferred. Must be computer proficient and have excellent customer service skills.

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the RN is accountable for direct patient care while in the Interventional Radiology department. This person is also involved in procedures for additional diagnostic areas as needed. This individual performs in a consultative role with physicians, radiologists and other radiological staff. This position recommends and follows established nursing practices of assessment, monitoring, intervention and teaching to maximize positive outcomes while minimizing complications. In addition, they assist the radiologist in a variety of invasive and noninvasive procedures including (but not limited to) kyphoplasty, fistulograms, permcaths, biopsies, filter placements, angioplasties, etc. Prepares patients for procedures, provides education and care according to age specific criteria. Prepares and starts intravenous injections and administers medications. Ensures the care, safety, comfort and satisfaction of the patient throughout the duration of their visit. Actively participates in a variety of operational and clinical activities to ensure department compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. Participates in emergency, off shift, on-call rotations to provide 24/7 coverage including weekends and holidays. Performs duties in accordance with the mission, vision and service excellence standards of the organization. This individual performs in a consultative role with physician radiologists and other radiological staff.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required for new hires. Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required. ACLS required, within 90 days of hire. BCLS required. Previous Emergency, Interventional, Cardiac Cath lab or CCU experience is preferred.
Must be self-starter and motivated.
Excellent communication skills.
Organized.

The unit supports a diverse, high-acuity patient population and is also recognized as an environment supportive and preparatory for future and aspiring CRNAs, offering exposure to advanced airway, hemodynamic, and critical care concepts.
SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse is accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe. Position Purpose

POSITION SUMMARY
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. 1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. 3. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the activities of the health care team. Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements. Delegates appropriately, and provides nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients by other licensed nurses and other personnel. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for whom care is provided.
4. Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed. Evaluates patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members. Evaluates patient's response and the effectiveness of patient teaching.
5. Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record. Documentation is legible, timely and in accordance with policy. 6. Provides care based on the best evidence available and may participate in research activities within clinical practice. Participates in unit or facility shared leadership. Interacts and participates in the education, role development, and orientation of facility personnel, patients, students, families and visitors. Promotes/supports growth of others through precepting and mentoring when appropriate.
7. Contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes through timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and safe care. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.

This position is the first point of contact at healthcare facilities and assists patients with the administrative aspect of gaining access to medical treatment. This position is in a hospital-based setting which includes Emergency Dept, Inpatient, Obstetrics, Outpatient, etc. Responsible for in person patient intake and registration, providing superior customer service, accurately identifying, and obtaining authorizations patients’ insurance, verifying eligibility and benefits, generating patient estimates for services rendered, financial counseling, and collecting patient liability. Demonstrates the ability to resolve customer issues and provides excellent customer service.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Verifies patient’s demographics and accurately inputs this information into EHR, including documenting the account thoroughly to maximize reimbursement and minimize denials/penalties from the payor(s).

Work closely with MRI leadership and the Radiologist to produce the most diagnostic images possible in accordance with the department protocols.
Administer contrast media required per specific diagnostic protocols.
Assist the physician/APP with the performance of MRI-guided invasive procedures as needed.
Perform a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, with integrity and initiative and be able to work with minimum supervision.

3. Selects and repackages oral solids, liquids and ointments in individual patient quantities and prepares appropriate repackaging documentation.
4. Operates and maintains pharmacy software, automation, cash register, and associated pharmacy equipment.
5. Reviews and processes computer data to determine and complete appropriate billing procedures, including third-party insurance carriers, SJMH-related groups/accounts, physician offices, etc. within appropriate time-frames.
6. Generates and reviews data for medication trending, discrepancies, reconciliations, and other required reports.
7. Assumes responsibility for the maintenance of accounts, records, documents, etc. as required by state and regulatory agencies, and as determined by Pharmacy.
8. Communicates effectively with customers, physicians, Health System personnel, pharmacy third party payers and insurers, and external vendors by answering phones/voice mail, and responds promptly to their requests or by routing requests to applicable personnel.
9. Resolves problems with orders still in process, and properly refers drug information requests or special situational problems to a pharmacist.
10. Performs necessary Pharmacy functions including: ordering and stocking medications, removing expired medications, processing physician office orders, maintaining documentation as required by regulations, servicing customers requesting non-prescription/over-the-counter items, and other assigned Pharmacy tasks.
11. Interacts with patients and staff on hospital units to support the discharge prescription program.
12. Follows established departmental compounding practices and procedures.
13. Maintains cleanliness of work areas and pharmacy including stock storage and other areas consistent with department policies and procedures, and documents as required.

Registered Nurse – Infusion Clinic

About the Department
Our Infusion Clinic provides a variety of treatments to both Oncology and Non-Oncology patients. For our Oncology patients, these treatments include chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, IV hydration, blood products, Injections, Iron, phlebotomies, Bone Marrow Biopsies, and other infusion therapies related to supportive care for these patients. These treatments are provided to both our Hematology-Oncology Patients and our Gynecology Oncology Patients. Many of these patients may be on a Clinical Research trial or receiving combined modality treatment with Radiation Therapy.
We also support many other specialties such as Rheumatology, Neurology, OB, Huron Gastro, Primary Care providers, etc and the specialized care required for these patients.
Our Infusion Clinic is supported by our Infusion Nurses, Medical Assistants, Infusion Schedulers, Nurse Coordinator, Education Coordinator, and Infusion Manager.
Our Infusion Nurses receive their Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Certification through ONS (Oncology Nursing Society). We provide training and education for both the novice and experienced Infusion Nurse. We also provide yearly recertification for our Chemotherapy Certified Nurses.
We utilize EPIC as our EMR
Hours of Operation
- Ann Arbor: Open Monday through Friday 8am – 6:30pm.
- Canton: Open Monday through Friday 8- 4:30pm
- Brighton: Open Monday through Friday 8-4:30pm
**Our Infusion Clinics are currently closed on Weekends and Holidays**

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
• Graduation from accredited nursing program.
• All new hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire or transfer to an RN role.
• Current Michigan Nursing License
• BLS
** All our Infusion Nurses are required to obtain their Chemotherapy Certification, and are strongly encouraged to obtain their OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)

• Communicate both verbal and written information (including documentation in the EMR) that is accurate, timely, concise and thorough. Effectively communicate patient status, priority goals and interventions to colleagues and other disciplines during consultation, rounds and handoffs.
