Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, ID is hiring a Patient Safety Attendant for our Clinical Support Team (Float Pool). Patient Safety Attendants support a safe environment for patients by providing continuous observation and surveillance in various departments.
Position Highlights and Benefits:
Schedule Information: This position will be scheduled for an evening shift from 7pm-7:30am. Shifts may include weeknights, weekends or holidays and schedule may vary. Specific days of the week are not guaranteed.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Previous experience in a hospital or a college student in a medical discipline is helpful.
Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification from either AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network preferred but not required.
What You Will Do:
Maintain visual observation of assigned patient(s) at all times, and verbally redirect the patient in person or over a 2-way audio device as appropriate.
Provide a first line of action by verbally redirecting patients from engaging in at-risk behaviors and notifying staff of patient's needs and/or alert them in the case of an emergency.
Document observations on the observation flow sheet every 15-30 minutes and participate in the handoff of pertinent information to fellow staff members.
Assist licensed nursing staff with care and seek assistance or advice when a patient appears to pose a threat to themselves or others.

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is looking to hire a CNA or Nursing Assistant to join our incredible nursing team. This position will be working on our Ortho/Joint floor located at our Regional Medical Center off I-184 and Curtis Rd.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
You will support clinical staff at the unit level by performing clerical, receptionist and patient service coordination.
You will perform various nursing care services and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients, as those of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) under the direction and supervision of the licensed nurse.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho OR complete the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program required
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
Six months Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting preferred.

What You Will Do:
Clean, inspect, and package surgical instruments, specialty sets and other re-usable instruments following all surgical procedures following regulations established by OSHA, The Joint Commission, and Saint Alphonsus.
Operate sterilization equipment including cart washer, washer disinfectors, steam sterilizers, other sterilizers, heat sealers, and Sterris machines.
Prepare surgical case carts and respond to requests for instrumentation and /or supplies for surgical procedures.
Order and restock the surgery department with supplies and instruments.
An ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and is a quick learner. You will also have an opportunity to work on your CRCST or CSPDT national certification.
Work Schedule:
8/40 - 8-hour shifts, Mondays - Fridays with occasional weekends.
Day shifts: 6:45 AM
Evening shift: 3:00 PM
Nigh Shift: 9:00 PM
Evening shift, night shift, and weekends receive an additional pay differential!
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Provides professional nursing care in collaboration with members of the health care team in the ongoing assessment, planning and treatment of patients and families.

The Day To Day

Provides professional nursing care in collaboration with members of the health care team in the ongoing assessment, planning and treatment of patients and families.
Utilizes resources wisely while promoting physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being.
In addition to providing hands-on nursing care, works and serves in a broad range of capacities including, but not limited to, delegation, assessment, planning of care and treatment, teaching of the patient and the patient’s family.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A current RN license is required.
Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire.
At hire, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS)
