As a nurse in the Neuro Surgical Trauma ICU, Idaho's only unit of its kind, you’ll gain unique experience and expertise that sets you apart. This role is perfect for nurses who thrive in high-acuity environments and enjoy working with advanced technology.
What to expect:
Utilizing your skills in a Level II Trauma Center and a Level I Comprehensive Stroke Center
Obtaining experience working in the FIRST and ONLY Neuro Surgical Trauma Unit in Idaho
Working with the only board certified, fellowship- trained neuro critical care doctors in the state
Caring for patients with neurological, surgical, or traumatic injury/illness that require intensive level care. This can range from a patient suffering from a multi trauma after a car accident, a spinal cord injury patient after a skiing injury, a patient with a spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage, a patient with new onset, undiagnosed seizures, or a patient with a stroke.
Being part of a unit that consists of 18 critical care beds
Providing next level care for patients in a state-of-the-art unit with the newest and most advanced technology and equipment
Qualifications:
Idaho or multistate RN license (must establish Idaho residency within 6 months if applicable).
BLS certification; ACLS and PALS required within designated timelines.
Critical care experience preferred

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is looking to hire a Nurse Apprentice to join our incredible nursing team on our Neuro Surgical Trauma Unit.
The Neuro Surgical Trauma Step Down Unit consists of 17 beds. The colleagues on this unit will care for post operative patients along with patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, seizures, strokes, and other neurological disorders.
Schedule: This position requires 3 shifts every two-week pay period. Typically scheduled as one shift one week and two shifts the next week, or vice versa. Hours are from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Must be available to work a varied schedule (weekdays, weekends, and holidays).
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
You will support clinical staff at the unit level by performing clerical, receptionist and patient service coordination.
You will perform various nursing care services and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients, as those of the Nurse Apprentice under the direction and supervision of the licensed nurse.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho OR complete the Trinity Nursing Assistant Program required.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
Six months patient care experience in an acute care setting preferred.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric as applicable).

Position Summary:

The Graduate Medical Education (GME) Department at Saint Alphonsus exists to support local residencies and residents rotating within our health system, as well as graduate level students pursuing MD, DO, NP or PA professions.
This is a fully in-person position working on-site at the Boise Regional Medical Center.
What You Will Do:
ICOM Administrative & Executive Support
Provide administrative support to the Regional Assistant Dean, including monitoring student progress and performance.
Coordinate logistics for didactic programs such as clinical case conferences, journal clubs, small group discussions, and professional development seminars.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, interviews, appointments, and travel arrangements.
Maintain and organize paperwork and files for students, preceptors, and the Regional Assistant Dean.
Attend team meetings and training sessions for Clerkship Coordinators.
Prepare and distribute correspondence, agendas, presentations, reports, and mail.
Order departmental supplies and coordinate meetings and educational conferences.
Respond to administrative inquiries via phone and email.
Maintain departmental databases and records.
Student & Clerkship Coordination
Serve as a liaison between departments and external contacts representing ICOM and Saint Alphonsus.
Develop and manage scheduling processes for hospital and ambulatory rotations, including electives.
Provide rotation schedule information and directions to students and preceptors.
Ensure student schedules comply with curriculum, policies, and procedures.
Assist preceptors with student-related concerns.
Ensure compliance with facility and regulatory standards for clinical placements.
Compose and distribute educational and interdepartmental materials.
Support special projects and other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requires intermediate computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office applications.

RN:
Provides professional nursing care in collaboration with members of the health care team in the ongoing assessment, planning and treatment of patients and families. Performs duties in Cath Lab related to the following procedures: diagnostic right and left heart catheterizations, pacemaker/ICD insertion, coronary interventions including balloon pump insertion, PTCA’s, Atherectomy (Laser and Rotablator), Stent, IVUS, myocardial biopsy, peripheral angiography and interventions,pericardiocentesis, and other cardiology procedures as assigned. Functions as a member of the Regional Cath Lab Team to provide a safe, efficient environment. May require orienting, travel, working and call coverage between Boise and Nampa Cath Lab departments as needed. Maintains accurate and complete documentation of care provided. REQUIRMENTS:
RN:
A current RN license is required.
Multistate licenses – If a nurse moves to Idaho from another compact state and is establishing residency, they must apply for licensure by endorsement and update their primary state of residence to Idaho within 60 days of being hired.
At hire, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS)
Other certifications may be required as identified in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.

What You Will Do:
You will work in a team environment to promote a positive experience in patient care with compassion and kindness.
You will perform duties under the Medical Assistant scope of practice based on clinics' needs.
You will support and work under the supervision of the Physician and/or Advanced Practice Provider. Clinical oversight is provided by the RN Supervisor, Lead Nurse and/or SAMG Nursing Administration.

Work Schedule Information:
These are full-time positions, 40 hours per week.
You are scheduled 2- 3 weeks in advance for shifts.

As a member of our Clinical Support Team (Float Pool), you'll gain valuable experience across multiple inpatient specialties and care settings while practicing at both our Level II Trauma Center in Boise and Level III Trauma Center in Nampa. You'll care for a diverse patient population, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the organization, and build a broad foundation of clinical experience that will continue to strengthen your practice throughout your career.
In Boise, you'll support teams in Trauma Medical-Surgical, Trauma General Surgery, Ortho Joint & Trauma, Medical Oncology, Orthopedic Medical-Surgical, and Telemetry. In Nampa, you'll have opportunities to care for patients in the Cardiac Medical Unit, Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical units.

Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care while serving as an advocate for both patients and families.

Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and fellow caregivers to deliver coordinated care.
Communicate patient status and care plans effectively through both verbal handoffs and clinical documentation.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Utilize clinical equipment and technology safely and effectively to support patient care.
Practice within Idaho State Board of Nursing standards while upholding hospital policies and best practices.
Qualifications:
You currently hold an Idaho or multistate RN license
If you have a multistate license you would need to establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 6 months of hire
You have your Basic Life Support
You are willing to obtain your Advance Cardiovascular Life Support for HealthCare Provider (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire

Position Summary and Highlights:
Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, ID is a Full-Time Healthcare Mechanic to support the Engineering and Facilities team. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing facility systems to ensure a safe and functional environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Schedule Information:
Position is scheduled to work full-time working 40 hours per week:
Sunday - Wednesday 9pm - 7:30am
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Related trade school or manufacturers training preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in plant and building maintenance or specific related trade required.
Central plant operations experience preferred.
Strong background in commercial HVAC, Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical and Carpentry maintenance preferred.
What You Will Do:
Maintains and repairs facility safety devices within assigned area to ensure on-going compliance with safety codes.
Performs entry level corrective and preventive maintenance on facility space, equipment, and systems in accordance with the following general guidelines:
General building repairs (i.e., repair/replace ceiling tiles; patch minor wall damage; paint).
Entry level carpentry, electrical, HVAC and plumbing repairs.
Entry level operation of Central Plant Equipment, Fire, HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing systems.
Entry level wet and dry fire system operation including Simplex fire panel and fire response protocols.
Entry level understanding and implement all department Standard Operating Procedures.
Perform preventive maintenance as assigned.
Entry level AIMS work order system understanding and minimum 90%-time accountability daily.
Maintain department basic skills for entry level qualifications via on-the-job training and self-study.
Prioritizes and completes general repair work orders that are received during shift or passed on from earlier shift.
Ability to read and follow maintenance manuals and troubleshooting guides.
Able to read blueprints, specifications, submittal data and O&M data relevant to maintenance operations including electrical/electronic schematics and diagrams.
Ability to pass Healthcare Mechanic Certification exam via self-study and on the job training. Within 1 year of hire (2 years if no previous healthcare experience).
