Responsible for the planning, delivery and management of direct patient care utilizing the nursing process and adhering to the standards of nursing practice.I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient’s care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
2. Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.

5. Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
6. Documents patient care according to standard procedure.
7. Develops, implements/coordinates and documents Education Plan for patient/family/ significant other.
8. Ensures quality and continuity of care through collaboration with other health care providers.
9. Administers medications, performs treatments, therapies and operates equipment according to policy and procedure. Assists physician with treatment and procedures and special tests as required or directed.
10. Participates in and supports Nursing Governance activities.
11. Assumes responsibility for professional growth. Assists in education and development of staff.
12. Participates in performance improvement initiatives and demonstrate the use of quality improvement in daily operations.
Standard Staffing Level Responsibilities:
1. Complies with established departmental policies, procedures and objectives.
2. Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed.
3. Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.
4. Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements.
5. Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.

II. Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education:
Required:
1. Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
2. BLS is a requirement for every RN unless advance cardiac life support (ACLS) certification is current, in addition to any unit specific certifications and competencies.
Preferred:
1. Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred.
Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
Department-specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents.
III. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:
Work is considered medium. Position requires work indoors in a patient care environment.
Addendum for UMass Memorial Medical Center at Nashoba Valley:
Per Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Registered Nurses employed at the SEF (Satellite Emergency Facility) must have the following qualifications:
License/Certification/Education:
Required:
1. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support).
2. PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support or APLS (Advanced Pediatric Life Support).
3. Must be eligible to obtain CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) upon hire. If not certified upon hire, caregiver must obtain within 12 months of hire or by 1/31/2029, whichever is earlier, or be subject to termination.
Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. Have a minimum of three years’ experience working in a full-service hospital emergency department.
2. Provide traditional clinical emergency services at a full-service hospital emergency department (Marlborough Campus) for at least 25% of their total working hours per year.

Position Purpose
In the Adult Behavioral Unit at Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital, the Registered Nuse (RN) provide high-quality inpatient care to adults experiencing acute and chronic mental health and substance use disorders. You will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting patient recovery and well-being.
What You Will Do:
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical and mental health status, including psychiatric stability and withdrawal symptoms
- Administer medications safely, monitor for effectiveness and side effects, and educate patients on treatment plans
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers
- Monitor patient progress and document clinical findings accurately and timely
- Provide emotional support, crisis intervention, and de-escalation when needed
- Participate in treatment team meetings and discharge planning
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- The ideal candidate will have one or more years of Mental Health; Substance use treatment or Behavioral Health acute inpatient setting experience.

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours- Rotating Shift
Position Purpose:
Under moderate supervision of the Central Service Manager and Lead Technicians; Inspects, assembles and sterilizes instrument sets, supplies and tracks procedure trays, decontaminates soiled instruments and equipment, delivers and supplies items to surgical units and patient care units, picks cases for scheduled surgeries.
What you will do:
- Sterilizing surgical equipment.
- Decontaminating soiled equipment.
- Assembling instrument sets.
- Delivering items to customers throughout the hospital.
- Picks case carts.
- Follows IFU for every process.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to set and organize own work priorities and adapt to them as they change frequently. Must be able to work concurrently on a variety of tasks/projects in an environment that may be stressful and fast paced.
- Must possess the ability to comply with Trinity Health policies and procedures.
- Must be able to constantly lift and transport items weighing more than thirty pounds. Knowledge of proper lifting techniques required.
- Must be able to walk for long periods of time or stand for long periods of time.
- Employee may be exposed to blood, tissue, or bodily fluids. Hazardous wastes materials and chemicals.
- Must be able to work in warm and humid environments while wearing full PPE.
- Position requires ability to constantly concentrate on fine detail with interruption and attend to tasks for more than 60 minutes at a time.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: One year of in Sterile processing or related field preferred.
- Licensure: Central Service Certification required within TWO years of hire date. Failure to achieve certification within required period will result in termination.
- Skills: Knowledge of sterilization standards and procedures, related medical terminology preferred. Computer knowledge and ability to use or learn to use department tracking system and its associated devices. Customer service and great interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail.

Position Purpose:
Provides optimal nutritional care by effectively identifying age specific patient needs, assessing nutritional status, designing appropriate care plans and monitoring to maximize clinical outcomes. Provides evidence-based nutritional information and guidance to physicians, staff, patients, and families.
What you will do:
- Performs nutrition assessments as per Nutrition Practice Guidelines.
- Develops and implements patient specific nutritional care plans, interventions, and goals as per Nutrition Practice Guidelines and Clinical Nutrition Policies.
- Assesses patients need for Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) instruction.
- Provides MNT instruction to patients on modified diets when appropriate.
- Assists in the management of nutrition support --Enteral Nutrition/Parenteral Nutrition (EN/PN) as per Nutrition Practice Guidelines (MMC only).
- Documents all assessments, patient education, nutrition care plans, interventions, and goals in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) utilizing Standardized Language and Nutrition Care Process.
- Confers with physicians and other allied health care team members to clarify orders, recommends appropriate MNT and exchange patient information.
- Participates in patient rounds, attends and contributes to patient care meetings.
- Participates in training nutrition interns.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles and concepts acquired through the completion of a Master’s degree in food and nutrition, dietetics, or related field as required by the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR) (effective January 1, 2024) or bachelor’s degree grandfathered prior to this update. Registration as a dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and a state licensure as a licensed dietitian/nutritionist (LDN) are required. Maintenance of registration and licensure required as per guidelines.
- One (1) year of experience as a dietitian, preferably in a healthcare environment is preferred.
- Work requires the analytical ability to collect information from diverse sources, synthesize a problem list and to devise/implement intervention.
- Work requires effective verbal and written communication skills, which may include explaining clinical, technical concepts to physicians, other health care team members, patients, and their families. Enforces policies and regulations in difficult situations or performs other duties requiring a comparable level of communication skill.
- Allergen Awareness training/certificate and Serv Safe Management training/certificate preferred.
