The Physical Therapist will be working in our outpatient office treating patients with varied diagnoses from neurological to medically complex orthopedic case. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with ongoing collaboration and communication with staff, patients, and families
What will you do:
- Evaluates, directs, plans, and treats patients with a wide variety of disabilities to help clients achieve a maximum level of functional independence.
- Develops and conducts a variety of techniques and modalities to provide individualized treatment appropriate to established goals.
- Modifies treatment plans and goals due to changes in client status and capabilities.
- Maintains appropriate communication with treatment team, physicians, clients, and/or family members to facilitate problem solving, program planning and education.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy
- Current State of CT license.
- Ability to clearly explain clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to clients and their families.

Position Purpose
This individual is responsible for performing Ultrasound exams and utilizing diagnostic ultrasound equipment.
What you will do
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of radiographic imaging, patient physiologic monitoring, and cardiac arrhythmia recognition.
- Contribute to efficient operations of the SMH Radiology department, ensuring the quality and continuity of patient care.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Completion of Certified Ultrasound program; Associates Degree. Abdomen certification (ABD) recommended.
- Licensure: RDMS Certification within one year of hire.
- Experience: Two years working in a Sonographer capacity required or a student that has graduated from an approved Ultrasound program and is eligible to take their boards.

Position Purpose
At Saint Mary’s Hospital, the Emergency Department is a Level II Trauma Center. This unit is a primary stroke center and is a pediatric receiving facility. The unit is consistent of 46 beds, 8 of which are emergency behavioral health beds. You will engage with staff from the unit and build relationships and learn different types of nursing and become savvy with new skill sets.
