At Banner University Medical Center - Tucson, there will be exciting opportunities to be a part of the health care transformation. You will work alongside a group of dedicated physicians and staff that perform some of the most state-of-the-art procedures that exist anywhere in the country. Virtually tour one of the state-of-the-art units at Banner-University Medical Center Tucson.
As a nurse working on the Neurosciences ICU (NSICU) and Burn MOSU- a 24 bed unit- you will monitor hemodynamic stability, neurological status, and ICP, assisting with procedures such as intubation, lumbar punctures, arterial line placement, central line placement, and EVD/Bolt placement. You will also learn about quality wound care, various burn injuries, hydrotherapy, and graft management. The Neurosciences unit provides the highest level of neurological monitoring and acute intervention provided by multidisciplinary teams. This is for a Full Time position, 7:00PM to 7:30AM. Enjoy a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential and an 18%-night shift differential, where applicable.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members. Reviews diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers. Completes assessment and reassessments according to patient need and as outlined in policy.
2. Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family and health team input. Initiates a plan of care based on patient-specific needs, assessment data and the medical plan of care. Goals for patient are realistic, measurable and developed in conjunction with the patient/family. Considers the physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age specific and educational needs of the patient in the plan of are. Plans care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team. Reviews and revises the plan of care to reflect changing patient needs based on evaluation of the patient’s status.
3. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the activities of the health care team. Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements. Delegates appropriately, and provides nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients by other licensed nurses and other personnel. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for whom care is provided.
4. Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed. Evaluates patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members. Evaluates patient's response and the effectiveness of patient teaching.
5. Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record. Documentation is legible, timely and in accordance with policy. Documentation reflects objective/subjective data, nursing interventions and patient's response to treatment. Notes physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
6. Provides care based on the best evidence available and may participate in research activities within clinical practice. Participates in unit or facility shared leadership. Interacts and participates in the education, role development, and orientation of facility personnel, patients, students, families and visitors. Promotes/supports growth of others through precepting and mentoring when appropriate.
7. Contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes through timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and safe care. Actively participates in the improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes. Such activities may include participating in professional organizations.
8. In some roles, this position may supervise staff and work flow of the department.
9.Interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts, such as employees of other health care institutions, community providers and agencies, concerning the health care of the patient. Interacts with other health care providers in numerous settings in order to report and ask for or clarify information. Also works with clergy to provide spiritual support. Synthesizes and prioritizes data from multiple sources to provide support for the human response of the patient and family to changes in health status.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations. Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting. Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area. Banner Registry and Travel physician practice positions require a minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse in a physician practice or an acute care setting. Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital, BTMC Behavioral, Banner Home Care/Hospice or Boswell Skilled Nursing Facility must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. Employees working at Banner MD Anderson on the Banner University Medical Center Phoenix campus must possess a State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. This is a requirement of the Whole Family Counseling Program held at this specific facility. Employees working in the Banner McKee Senior Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit must possess an Colorado Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. Employees working in any Banner Staffing (BSS) Behavioral Health role in Arizona must possess a State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.

2 South is a 13 bed ICU unit offering care to critically ill patients. Our patient population consists of individuals with an array of medical and surgical conditions such as respiratory failure, aspiration pneumonia, PE, strokes, and cardiac concerns. In this space you will also learn how to manage specialized treatments/devices such as CRRT, Intra-aortic balloon pump, and Impellas. As a RN, you will be working alongside experienced staff and building strong interdisciplinary relationships. BUMCS is currently working toward Magnet, Level 3 Trauma and Primary Stroke designation. Previous ICU or PCU experience preferred.
This is a full-time position, working 3/12 hour shifts. We have Nights available, working 7:00PM-7:30AM with holiday and weekend rotation requirements. Enjoy a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential when applicable.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position coordinates a smooth patient flow process by answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, providing registration of patient and insurance information, obtaining required signatures following established processes, procedures and standards. Where state statute permits, performs point of care testing for blood glucose, hemoccult and gastroccult or other tests, and performs quality control checks on point of care equipment as required.
4. Provides communication and updates to RN, Physician or other providers related to perceived reactions or changes to patients’ condition. Accurately records information in the patient record, documents vital signs and procedures completed, as well as the equipment and techniques utilized.
5. Monitors supply stock levels and reports needs. Notifies housekeeping, maintenance, biomedical engineering, and others to ensure proper equipment and a safe environment is maintained. Maintains appropriate levels of stock in medication room, exam room bedside carts, and specialty carts. Assists with health unit coordination tasks and reception responsibilities as needed.
6. Attends department meetings and educational sessions; Assists in orienting and training of new ED Technicians.

This position, acting as a specialized ultrasound technologist, aids in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions in patients, playing a central role in detecting issues related to the heart, including heart malfunctions and in supporting the physicians as they develop diagnosis and treatment plans.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers’ orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures. Oversees Heart Clinic echocardiographic services, ensuring quality of performance. Accountable for the oversight and application of scanning protocols and quality measures, following the guidelines of ASE or IAC.
2. Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Demonstrates professional behavior and conduct in all interactions; fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes.
3. Performs high quality images and presents them for timely interpretation, ensuring accurate documentation. Performs exams and imaging duties by providing preliminary clinical findings to the supervising physicians. Also provides valuable and timely preliminary findings to the Cardiologists or Cardiac surgeons.
4. Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures in accordance with established policies.
5. Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance. Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel and visitors. Adheres to safety policies.
6. Accountable for the ethical, legal, professional and certification responsibilities related to the practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information.
7. Assures the efficient operation of workflow in the department. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services. Performs high level disinfecting in accordance with manufacturers and regulatory policies and procedures.
8. Functions as the clinical and technical expert in Cardiac Sonographic Imaging for the Cardiology or Cardiovascular department. May act as a clinical resource to staff and students, as well as train new staff and students in sonographic techniques, with focus on the echocardiographic laboratory. May provide echocardiographic related education to Banner Health staff and cardiac sonography students. May assess student competency and provide feedback to department leadership.
9. Ensures echocardiography functions are within compliance of professional scope of practice, accreditation and regulatory standards, Joint Commission and Title 22. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires completion of an accredited Allied Health Cardiovascular program.
Requires national certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Cardiac Sonographer. Uncertified new hires who are Registry eligible must obtain certification within 12 months of hire. BLS certification required.
This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with one to two years of clinical experience. Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, analyze data and solve problems.

The Progressive Care Unit at Banner Casa Grande is a 43 bed unit with a patient centered, family oriented core staff caring for a variety of patients. The PCU has the capacity to monitor up to 75 patients via remote telemetry and is reinforced by a centralized telemetry monitoring station. As a patient care assistant on this unit, you will work directly with the unit RN staff to help deliver quality care to our patients and their families; leading to successful, optimal outcomes using the latest procedures and state of the art equipment.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. 5. Performs receptionist/clerical duties to support overall operating efficiency and effective flow of communication and information throughout the department. 6. Maintains a complete patient record with admission, transfer, and discharge information, progress notes, and consent forms. Ensures that all reports and chart forms are scanned or filed into the patient’s record. Ensures that charting forms are labeled and accessible if they are needed. Maintains adequate supplies of frequently used, patient education materials. Assists in the ordering of patient specimens. May transcribe and process physician orders effectively using the electronic medical record.
7. Maintains adequate levels of office, dietary, and medical supplies and completes requisition forms when supplies need to be ordered. Reconciles supply order upon delivery. Monitors and tracks the use and whereabouts of electronic equipment such as patient ID scanners and lap top computers. Ensures that all are accounted for and in working order.

POSITION SUMMARY

4. Performs airway management within scope of training and within state guidelines to include oxygen administration, tracheal suctioning, assisting with ventilation, positioning, end-tidal CO2 and pulse-ox monitoring.
5. Actively participates in the resuscitation of critical patients as assigned. Observes and monitors patients through the diagnostic phase of treatment.
6. Performs other duties as assigned based on competency and training.
7. Recognizes changes in patient status that requires notification of charge or primary nurse and physician. Keeps charge or primary nurse informed of patient status and current activities. Alerts responsible physician to changes in patient status.
8. Documents assessment and reassessments within unit guidelines on appropriate documentation forms. Documents the incorporation of assessment findings and appropriate standards statement to support desired Patient Outcomes. Documents patient progress toward outcomes and responses to interventions/therapeutic modalities example: Response to pain medication. Documents the discharge plan of care and services consulted during patient visit.
9. This position is responsible for the cardiopulmonary bypass support of adult and pediatric patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery or patients requiring extracorporeal circulatory and/or respiratory support. Each perfusionist will be responsible for the selection, maintenance, and use of the perfusion hardware and software. The perfusionist coordinates and communicates with the OR team any needs or variances that arise during the operation. Additionally, the perfusionist is responsible for providing comprehensive management and coordination of care for specialized patient populations requiring ECMO therapy.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Performs required clinical tasks involving the circulatory and pulmonary support of patients undergoing cardiopulmonary bypass surgery or patients requiring extracorporeal vascular support during surgical intervention. This includes procedures that require cardiopulmonary bypass standby support and extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). The transport of ECMO patients both within the hospital and between institutions may be required. The perfusionist will conduct cardiopulmonary bypass and ECMO according to general departmental policies and procedures and according to the individual surgeon’s preferences regarding specific techniques. Techniques and the use of safety equipment recognized by the perfusion community as standards of practice will be followed. The perfusionist will perform the required number of perfusion procedures necessary to maintain certification and competency. The perfusionist may be responsible for the intraoperative management of ancillary equipment such as the intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and blood salvage devices. Each perfusionist will abide by the call schedule created by the department supervisor.
2. Responsible for the proper selection, maintenance, and use of the equipment necessary to perform cardiopulmonary bypass and ECMO including hardware and disposables. The perfusionist will select equipment according to specific patient requirements for the procedure to be performed. Facilitates discussion with the health care team that includes medical record review, decisions needed for prime selection, drug and blood additives, and techniques of cardiopulmonary bypass. Responsible for cleaning and restocking all perfusion equipment and supplies following a procedure. The perfusion supply cart and/or area will be left fully stocked and ready for an emergent procedure.
3. Coordinates and deploys Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation support (ECMO) for patients requiring circulatory and/or respiratory support. Responsible for the clinical needs of the patient on ECMO which may include bedside management of oxygenation and carbon dioxide removal, maintenance of normal acid-base balance, administration of medications, blood and blood products, and maintenance of appropriate anticoagulation therapies for the blood. This may include the transport of patients on ECMO within or between institutions.
4. Responsible for the proper operation of various point-of-care blood analysis devices. Examples include but are not limited to blood gas analysis machines, devices that measure the activated clotting time (ACT), thromboelastography devices, heparin concentration machines or other blood analysis devices as necessary for cardiopulmonary bypass procedures. The perfusionist will abide by all policies and procedures pertaining to these devices as provided by the hospital’s Point-of-Care Testing department including annual competency testing and documentation.
5. Maintenance of a detailed Cardiopulmonary Bypass Record for each procedure by the perfusionist. The record will be part of the patient’s official medical record. A pre-bypass checklist will be completed for each procedure. Billing and charge forms detailing the equipment used will be completed by the perfusionist for each procedure and forwarded to the appropriate department. Other documentation as required will be completed as well.
6. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the perfusionist will be required to serve as a Clinical Instructor for students enrolled in the Perfusion Science School, University of Arizona at Banner institutions that support the perfusion school. Will provide clinical support for student’s research projects when appropriate.
7. Fosters an atmosphere of continuing education for self and peers. Attends continuing education opportunities and department meetings regularly. Participates in other projects assigned by the department supervisor.
8. Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Banner Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.
9. Works independently to provide excellent patient care. Internal customers include patients, staff, and physicians. External customers include patient family.

CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Provides decontamination and sterile processing support to PeriOp Services, ED, ICU, hospital wide departments, and clinics both on and off campus, and ambulatory surgery centers. Provides various levels of service for the management of sterile surgical instrumentation and disposable patient care supplies. Support may-or-may-not include, decontamination of surgical instruments, assembly/sterilization, sterile instrument storage, partial or complete case cart support, OR core tech support and high-level disinfection.
2. Responsible for the decontamination, assembly, and packaging of surgical instruments following established protocols, instructions for use (IFU) as well as performs required quality assurance, repairs, reassembly, documentation, sterility handling, and storage of specialized surgical instruments. Maintains required sterilization logs and quality assurance records relating to all equipment associated for the purpose of decontamination, HLD disinfection, and sterilization.
3. Ability to identify interpret the surgical schedule and medical terminology as it pertains to procedures requiring sterile surgical instrumentation and disposable supplies. Able to address and communicate special needs to minimize delays to surgery. Responds to emergent calls from the Operating Room and performs preliminary investigations. Determines priority level of instrumentation requests and other hospital needs. Directs services in a competent and professional manner while assuring OR priorities are completed in a timely manner
4. Able to differentiate surgical instrumentation that is surgery owned, consignment/loaner, hospital depart, surgeon, ambulatory surgery center, and clinics both on and off campus. Completes necessary tracking of surgical instruments with a paper log sheet or computer process for instrumentation leaving the area. Reports needed replacement of surgical instruments to maintain the inventory and support readiness of sets.
5. Utilizes specialized equipment for the decontamination, high-level disinfection, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation according to the device and equipment manufacturer’s recommendations and hospital policy. Operates steam and hydrogen peroxide sterilizers of various sizes. Operates automated surgical instrument washers, ultrasonics, flush pumps, visualization devices, and cart washers to include high-level disinfectors where supported.
6. Operates various quality assurance testing equipment associated to flexible endoscopic scopes, transesophageal ultrasound probes, and electro-surgical insulation defect detector for laparoscopic and energy provided surgical instrumentation. Utilizes heat detection devices to allow steam sterilized surgical instrumentation to be released for use without risking burns to staff and patients. Operates demagnetizers of stainless-steel instruments for ophthalmic and delicate cardiac surgical instrumentation for safe use on patients. Utilizes various borescope devices to inspect inner channels of lumened surgical instrumentation and flexible scopes.
7. Maintains a clean and safe environment by adhering to Standard Precautions and Infection Control practices. Staff follow protocols for proper donning of personnel protective equipment (PPE) while completing the decontamination process referencing IFU’s supplied by the manufacturers.
8. Maintain flexibility to rotate shifts and adjust hours as needed, maintain a work record of regular attendance, timely arrivals, and departures, maintain professional appearance appropriate to position and function.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Minimum one (1) year experience as a Sterile Processing Technician OR certified as an SPD Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) with less than one year of experience.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position assists technologists and/or nurses in department by performing non-technical, patient and procedure-related duties in accordance with department/facility policies and procedures. 3. Provides support in the acquisition and distribution of digital patient records. Digitizes, formats, and uploads film-based or digital images into PACS. Maintains accurate filling system as required based on established department protocols and procedures.
4. Fulfills requests for images and reports ensuring availability in system, hard copy (film), and/or CD as required and follows proper protocols for releasing confidential patient information.
5. Receives patient in applicable systems, confirms patient demographics and insurance information and performs insurance verification when required. May be required to calculate and collect copays, deductibles, and self-pay. Totals charges on patient’s super-bill at check-out. Enters pending discharges into the system. Coordinates patient appointments for procedures and treatments that may be required prior to timely discharge. Processes patient discharges. Coordinates transportation to care centers and residential homes as requested by patients or physicians.
6. Prints physician schedules, super-bills, labels and other applicable forms in preparation for next business day. Pulls and files patient charts and prepares new patient charts as needed. Prints and files transcription notes. Reconciles charge tickets to each day's schedule, identifies incomplete tickets, missing charge codes or missing diagnosis and notifies clinical staff. Forwards completed tickets and/or billing package to the business office or billing company.
7. Assists technologists and nurses in pre and post procedure room preparation by obtaining necessary supplies and assisting patients as necessary. Ensures procedure rooms are stocked appropriately. Understand sterile procedure and assists with setting up sterile trays, where applicable. Adheres to radiation safety policies. Escorts patients back to the patient exam rooms, takes vitals and patient history; may assist with patient treatment to include peripheral IV insertion, IV discontinuation and Point of Care Testing (POCT) if required by the assigned facility (completion of Banner’s peripheral IV insertion course and validation of skill must be completed prior to any peripheral IV insertion and discontinuation performed. Incumbents work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment with a strong focus on customer service. This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. This position is responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical records and provides a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Provides assistance in activities of daily living and completes necessary tasks to promote patient health, including assisting patients with basic hygiene needs, maintaining an optimum level of mobility and providing assistance with nutritional intake as needed.
2. Collects patient specimens and data, including vital signs, input/output and other delegated measurements in accordance with unit/facility policy and standards of care. Documents objective data and routine aspects of patient care. Assists in the transportation of patient specimens.
3. Recognizes and reports abnormalities and/or changes in the patient’s health status and responses to treatment to a licensed professional. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for which care is provided.
4. Performs procedures and uses equipment as delegated by a licensed professional, consistent with demonstrated competencies and according to state scope of practice; procedures may include blood draws, foley catheters removal, EKGs, and EKG monitoring. Provides necessary supplies, support and assistance to medical staff and patients for unit specific procedures, under the direct supervision of a licensed professional.
5. Performs receptionist/clerical duties to support overall operating efficiency and effective flow of communication and information throughout the department. Participates in the resolution of customer problems or collects necessary data and follows through to appropriate person for problem resolution.
6. Maintains a complete patient record with admission, transfer, and discharge information, progress notes, and consent forms. Ensures that all reports and chart forms are scanned or filed into the patient’s record. Ensures that charting forms are labeled and accessible if they are needed. Maintains adequate supplies of frequently used, patient education materials. Assists in the ordering of patient specimens. May transcribe and process physician orders effectively using the electronic medical record.
7. Maintains adequate levels of office, dietary, and medical supplies and completes requisition forms when supplies need to be ordered. Reconciles supply order upon delivery. Monitors and tracks the use and whereabouts of electronic equipment such as patient ID scanners and lap top computers. Ensures that all are accounted for and in working order.
8. Based on area of assignment may assist with transporting patients, including pre-operative and immediate post-operative patients to critical care unit. Participates in OR room turnover.
9. This position works under supervision and has responsibility for assigned unit only. Incumbents work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment with a strong focus on customer service. Interacts with staff at all levels throughout the facility, as well as patients, families and physicians
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Current BLS certification is required. Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice is required for new hires and transfers. In Tucson: Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice is required for new hires. Existing Tucson incumbents may not transfer out of their geographical market without meeting the CNA requirement. This position selects and places surgical instruments, supplies and equipment during surgery. Scrubs and provides instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies during surgical procedure. Participants in the training and orientation of surgical technology staff and students, as assigned. Is proficient to scrub on a minimum of two surgical specialties.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Prepares for surgical procedures. Pulls appropriate instruments and supplies and ensures good working order of instruments. Reviews case carts for correct instruments and supplies. Troubleshoots malfunctioning equipment and makes minor adjustments or calls biomedical equipment staff. Checks schedule and plans ahead for upcoming surgical case needs.
2. Anticipates the surgeon's needs. Passes instruments and retracts tissue. Maintains competency to scrub in a minimum of two surgical specialties.
3. Demonstrates the principles of aseptic technique and universal precautions throughout the procedure. Disposes of sharps and trash and places used supplies into case cart for processing. Participates in counting sharps, instruments and sponges. Prepares instruments for cleaning following each case.
4. Ensures that all surgeon preference cards and pick lists are accurate.
5. Assists with OR turnover between cases. Participates in stocking, replenishing supplies and cleaning operating rooms.
6. Participates in or leads the training and orientation of surgical technology staff and students, as assigned.
7. May provide business support to the department including administrative tasks.
8. This position follows safety procedures in regards to medication labeling, appropriate handling of specimens, appropriate handling of sharps, time-out procedure, radiation and laser safety, infection control, assembling and disassembling instruments. Participates in emergency call rotation. Is proficient to scrub on at least two surgical specialties. Internal customers are patients, surgeons, and nursing staff. External customers may include practicing physicians, patient families and vendors or sales reps.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED and current basic life support certification.
Certified as a surgical technologist OR two to three years of experience in a surgical technologist role. Where applicable must be registered with State Regulatory Agency.
This position must be able to scrub proficiently on a minimum of two surgical specialties. The position requires manual dexterity and the ability to maintain professional decorum in highly stressful emergent situations. The position requires the ability to be conscientious, organized, and orderly and the ability to respond quickly to the needs of the surgeon and patient. Must stay abreast of new developments in the field.
