Shift: Days
What you will do:
Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
Performs daily operations of CT exams on scheduled shifts as assigned. Operates CT equipment in a safe and knowledgeable manner.
Provides care to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Communicates effectively and in a timely manner with patients, other staff, radiologists, students and other management. Actively listens and positively accepts change and is able to deal with stressful situations.
Utilizes correct process for patient identification. Right patient, right exam, right time.
Participates as directed in QA activities, maintains current relevant documentation.
Works collaboratively with radiologists to maintain quality in every aspect of CT services.
Qualifications:
Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program (ARRT or NMTCB).
Previous CT experience preferred.
Maintains active registry status.
Maintains current state of employment Permit to Practice Radiology Technologist License
Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
Maintains Basic Life Support qualification

Looking for detail-oriented teammate to join our team. Available to work one 12 hour day 0630-1900- and one 12-hour night shift 1830-0700 per week, telemetry and health unit coordinator duties. Rotating holiday rotation.
Pay Range:
$20.80 - $31.20Major Responsibilities:- Responsible for maintaining constant surveillance on the telemetry monitors.
- Responsible for promptly notifying the Registered Nurse with any changes in the patients heart rhythm.
- Records patient's heart rhythm hourly and as changes occur.
- Runs telemetry strips for the Registered Nurse based on policy and procedure.
- Notifies nursing staff promptly when there is an interruption in the telemetry signal.
- Provides daily inventory to maintain the correct number of transmitters and lead wires.
- Handles confidential information on a regular basis, usually of a medical nature (diagnosis, etc.).

I Accountability Objectives:
The Contingent Nurse Extern functions as a collaborative member of the health care team in partnership with and under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). Utilizing principles of Relationship-based Care, performs basic direct patient care to a specific group of patients. Actively supports the activities of the unit-based shared governance council. Promotes organizational commitment and excellence in the patient care experience, and in compliance with the standards of professional behavior within nursing.
II Position Qualifications:
Minimum Education, Licensure / Certification and Experience Required.
A. Education
- Currently attending and in good standing at an accredited school of nursing. Enrollment in a bachelor's program preferred.
- Must maintain continuous "active" student status.
- Must have successfully completed two (2) clinical nursing rotations, of which one was a Medical/Surgical rotation.
B. Licensure / Certification
• Current BCLS (Basic Life Support Certification) certification.
C Special Skill / Aptitudes
- Increased complexity of assignment, when the Contingent, Nurse Extern provides documentation or relevant courses and has demonstrated competencies to complete procedures according to unit guidelines.
- Organizational and time management skills necessary to complete responsibilities of role.

Demonstrates principles of Relationship-based Care to cultivate and maintain therapeutic relationships as a means to optimal healing and collegially function as an interdiciplinary care team member.

Performs basic bedside care and selected procedures under the direction and supervision of a RN. Applies progressive knowledge and skills acquired through a formal nursing program in order to perform increasingly more complex care activities.

Performs activities of daily living (ADLs) appropriate to the patient's condition under direction and supervision of RN.

Provides individualized care consistent with the plan of care under the direction and supervision of the RN.

Provides basic nutritional support to patients such as bed setup, assistance with feeding, and collection and documentation of intake and calorie count as appropriate.

Reports changes in patient condition to the RN timely.

Aurora Sinai has an innovative program for nursing students interested in gaining additional skills, and seeking to develop their nursing process in preparation to becoming a graduate nurse. Major Responsibilities:

Major Responsibilities:
Creates the initial electronic health record that serves as the foundation of the patient medical record that is utilized by all members of the healthcare team. Prevents creation of duplicate medical records that can cause treatment safety issues and billing problems. Follows and ensures compliance with the mandate of the organization’s accrediting bodies to use identifiers to positively identify a patient prior to the delivery of patient care to ensure patient safety.

- Assists RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation which may include use of therapeutic assistive devices, proper positioning, range of motion and special transferring as indicated.
- Measures and documents blood pressures, TPRs (Temperature, Pulse, Respiration), I & O (Intake and Output), daily weights, and other patient data as requested. Documents accurately in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Performs purposeful rounding under direction of RN and promptly communicates observations, concerns, and needs of patient/family to RN. Documents appropriately.
- Participates in admission, transfer and discharge process under supervision of RN including room set up, orientation to room, removing linen, and proper management of patient belongings. Ensures patient call light is always in reach of patient and answers call-lights promptly.
- Collects urine, stool, and sputum specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated using approved process for accurate specimen labeling and identification. Maintains competency as required.
- Completes various errands as directed including pick-up and delivery of trays, charts, specimens, and reports. Maintains and orders stock for nursing area. Cleans equipment and work areas.
- Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties which require lifting and pushing/pulling while utilizing proper technique and assistive devices. Performs tasks related to nutritional needs of patient under direction of RN to include diet review, tray set up/removal, proper positioning and diet selection.
- Performs tasks related to maintaining skin integrity to include proper repositioning and skin care. Ensures special patient supplies and appliances are provided and maintained such as TED hose and sequential compression devices.
- Under the direction of RN and as determined by site/unit requirements, may be required to remove IVs, provide post mortem care, and bladder scans.
- Practices within policies and procedures of infection prevention by demonstrating hand hygiene and knowledge of sterile and aseptic procedures, proper disposal of contaminated materials and utilizing proper attire when in direct contact with patients in isolation.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Minimum Qualifications:

We employ a patient-centered approach, offering extensive neurological services that support seamless continuity of care.
Patient-centered care in the Neuro ICU is achieved through effective teamwork, compassion, innovation, education, and research. Our nursing staff are proficient in operating diverse ICU equipment, such as tubes, lines, drains, invasive hemodynamic monitoring devices, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). Specialized interventions include management of EVD and SEPS drains, post-thrombolytic care, and post-interventional radiology care.

$38.20 - $57.30Major Responsibilities:- Serves as an educator and resource to the employer and injured employee, which includes but not limited to providing health education to enhance the understanding of conditions, treatments and/or procedures and interpreting the care plan and medical results.
- Uses nursing assessment and clinical reasoning skills to assess patient's medical history, current conditions, and response to treatment to develop a plan of care that helps patient progress reasonably through recovery to reach end of healing and return to work. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team and other departments to develop plan of care. If patient is unable to return to work, uses clinical judgment to provide recommendations for disposition, partnering with the physician.
- Coordinates timely, seamless, evidenced based care across the care continuum resulting in best patient outcomes. Ensures smooth transitions between care settings. Uses nursing expertise to help patient navigate through subsequent treatment and follow up.
- Supports the patient and family by providing education, addressing psychosocial needs, advocating, providing continuity of care and identifying barriers to care.
- Collaborates with providers regularly and ongoing regarding patient care plan. Makes suggestions in expediting care and makes modification to a tentative plan on a timely basis, if necessary.
- Facilitates communications between and negotiates with the patient/family, physicians, nurses, dietary, rehabilitation, and other disciplines that need to collaborate to provide care for the patient.
- Identifies, evaluates, and acts to resolve any potential barriers to delivery of care and a timely and appropriate discharge.
- Collects accurate data on outcomes and resource utilization issues and facilitates reporting of utilization monitoring/review activities to the appropriate committees/persons.
- Works closely with the medical staff, hospital departments and ancillary services in expediting care delivery and appropriate documentation to avoid delays in timely service provision. Validates care that is provided.
- Promotes effective professional relationships with physicians, other department members and hospital staff; facilitates problem solving, as appropriate.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
Education Required:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing.
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 3 years of experience in clinical nursing.

- Position requires working knowledge of the components of quality and patient care needs specifically related to injury care management and knowledge of workers compensation.
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal communication skills necessary to negotiate with families, patient, physicians and third party payers for optimum plan.

- Intermediate computer skills including experience in using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) or similar products.
