The Lab Asst. II will be conducting behavioral training experiments, brain sectioning and histology, and brain imaging data collection with mice. S/he will be responsible for data collection, for scheduling undergraduate students to run the same experiments, and to perform general laboratory duties, including the generating of spreadsheet data summaries in Excel. S/he will also be required to take part in lab and center meetings each week. A Bachelor of Science degree in biological or equivalent or related fields is required. Experience handling mice is required.
Hourly salary range: 27.54 - 33.13
Bachelor of Science degree in biological or equivalent or related fields
Mouse handling and some experience with basic behavioral tasks
Good PC Skills, with ideally some knowledge of python, R or Matlab
Strong organizational skills and flexibility in responding to changing priorities
Excellent verbal and written English skills
Ability to work independently after training and some continued supervision.
Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with and sustain cooperative working relationships with undergraduate students and lab scientists

Under the supervision of a Custodial Supervisor - Clean assigned areas, patient rooms, nursing station, ancillary rooms, exam rooms, procedure rooms, conference rooms, office's, hallways, corridor, public areas, etc. Operate vacuum cleaners, buffers, wall and window washing, shampoo machines and floor machine. Sweep, strip and wax floors. Perform isolation room cleaning. Perform high and low dusting. Clean vertical and horizontal surfaces using the approved cleaning solutions. They have knowledge in the correct use and storage of disinfectants, cleaning solution, soap, detergents and floor waxes preferred.

LifeFlight Ground EMS started with a single ambulance in the fall of 2011, and after several expansions now includes a fleet pf 21 Advance Life Support (ALS) equipped ground ambulances operating from five locations in the Middle Tennessee areas: Nashville, Wilson County (Lebanon), Coffee County (Tullahoma), Montgomery County (Clarksville) and, Bedford County (adjacent to Vanderbilt Bedford). These ambulances predominantly focus on interfacility transfers and discharges from Vanderbilt affiliated medical facilities, with the ability to also support non- Vanderbilt facilities.

The Clinical Translational Research Coordinator will support an early cancer‑diagnosis study, serving as a key member of the research team by coordinating both clinical and regulatory activities. This role involves substantial computer‑based work, including patient tracking, reviewing survey results, and maintaining accurate study records.A core component of the role includes consenting eligible patients when trial requirements allow, as well as monitoring patient timelines to ensure appropriate follow‑up appointments and additional diagnostic checkups are completed. Because the study population may be navigating emotionally challenging circumstances, the coordinator must demonstrate empathy, clear communication, and strong interpersonal skills.
In addition to clinical interactions, a significant portion of this position centers on regulatory responsibilities—ensuring compliance with study protocols, data privacy standards, and institutional requirements. The ideal candidate is comfortable working within electronic medical record systems, managing sensitive patient information, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- With assistance, prepares and processes new IRB research proposals, amendments, continuing review applications and adverse event reports according to institutional and departmental policies and procedures and federal regulations
- Prepares and maintains documents required to be maintained and available internally and for regulatory authorities and/or the sponsor prior to, during and after the conduct of a clinical/translational trial. Participates in periodic site visits from sponsor, regulatory authorities and others to review research, source documentation and research procedures
- Procures equipment and supplies needed to fulfill project requirements
- Records data from source documentation and/or participant interaction onto case report forms (either paper or electronic) with awareness and attention to the requirements for accuracy, completeness and timeliness. Attends to query resolution in a timely manner. Assures research information is collected and stored in a manner that is compliant with regulations/policies and good clinical practice
- Performs packaging and ships study specimens (blood, urine, etc.) to the sponsor or laboratory in accordance with sponsor and shipping guidelines and regulations, maintaining appropriate documentation
- With direction assists with study completion, study closeout and archiving of study files, ensuring completeness and continuity of all study data, performing ongoing checks of clinical/translational data that has been entered on the case report forms (paper or electronic) or in reports
- With supervision, develops and manages study budgets, monitoring efficient invoicing and taking appropriate action to maintain clinical trial billing compliance
- Serves as an advocate for human subjects by establishing and maintaining communication with Investigators, research staff, Sponsors, participants and representatives of professional organizations, participant advocates, and the public responsible for, or concerned about, protections for human participants of research and through ongoing monitoring of trial processes and participants
- Participates in the determination of eligible candidates for study participation, assuring participants fulfill eligibility requirements. With guidance, assesses and evaluates potential participants pertinent medical and historical information to ensure only appropriate subjects are enrolled in clinical/translational trials and remain eligible for continued participation. Required:

Preferred:
