In this role, you will lead and support staff to achieve departmental goals and enhance processes within our service line. You will coordinate and educate team members on the latest evidence-based practices across all acute care areas, assessing and evaluating quality and workflow to ensure high standards of care. You will oversee department resources in daily operations and provide management support in the Director of Respiratory Care’s absence.
Salary Range: $52.16 - $115.66 Hourly
* 5 years of relevant respiratory therapy leadership experience
* Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and currently certified Respiratory Care Practitioner, State of California
* Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
* Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
* Demonstrate strong clinical expertise with a solid understanding of clinical practice, procedures, and related equipment.
* Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, JCAHO standards, infection control practices, and other regulatory requirements.
* Ability to lead staff, coordinate schedules, and manage departmental operations

As a key leader within Security Services, you will play a vital role in advancing a culture of safety, service excellence, and operational consistency across the UCLA Health system. The Security Services Department supports the safety and protection of all hospitals, ambulatory clinics, and administrative locations through 24/7 coverage, centralized alarm monitoring, incident response, access control management, and close coordination with law enforcement. This team is essential to patient experience, staff safety, asset protection, and regulatory compliance, ensuring a high-reliability approach to safety across every UCLA Health site.
Provides leadership and operational oversight for Security Services across the UCLA Health system, including all hospitals, ambulatory clinics, and administrative facilities. Manages daily security operations, supervises security personnel, and ensures a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff, and providers. Oversees systemwide alarm monitoring, and departmental training programs. Develops, standardizes, and implements security policies, procedures, and performance standards across all UCLA Health locations. Serves as a key liaison to executive leadership, clinical departments, law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, and external partners. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and supports a culture of safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement throughout the health system.

The Marie and Alexander Shipman Cerebral Palsy Muscle Disease Research Laboratory within UCLA Orthopedic Surgery is seeking to hire a full-time Laboratory Assistant. The Lab is dedicated to advancing the understanding of cerebral palsy and neuromuscular disorders through translational research. The lab studies muscle biology, tissue pathology, and disease mechanisms to support the development of improved treatments and outcomes for patients. Key responsibilities include:
- Support daily laboratory operations, including inventory management, supply ordering, and coordination of laboratory meetings
- Assist with onboarding laboratory volunteers and maintaining laboratory safety and compliance standards
