Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for continued follow-up on all assigned accounts in order to obtain high cash flow until the account is either paid/resolved, the work standard complete and the account can be referred to a collection agency or is deemed uncollectable.
- Contacts patients, employer, insurance companies and government agencies either by telephone or mail in order to expedite payment.
- Establishes effective working relationship with patients, collection agencies, vendors and internal departments to effectively resolve account issues.
- Handles patient, internal department, third party agency, vendor requests/inquiries and complaints in regards to bad debt collection process. Resolves patient complaints concerning billing and collection functions using good human relations skills and sound credit procedures.
- Interprets insurance verification, billing, follow-up, collection and legal information provided for each patient account to accurately resolve patient questions and account issues. Effectively documents all accounts in regard to why the account has been opened, process documentation and actions taken to resolve outstanding issues.
- Handles the accounting of settlement offers, vendor remits, and cash posting issues related to bad debt accounts. Responsible for learning, understanding, and performing actions in all patient billing systems, both past and present, to assure proper handling of all bad debt accounts.
- Maintains the lowest possible ratio of bad debt expense write-off by employing good collection methods.
- Maintains and reconciles records of placements to third party agencies. Reconciles differences between bad debt balances and third party records.
- Watches for trends in agency or patient billing issues and alerts management.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- None Required.
Education Required:
- High School Graduate.
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 2 years of experience in insurance processing, collections, or customer service.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Ability to quickly review information and make decisions.
- Flexibility to work special projects and new job assignments as business needs dictate.
- Medical insurance billing, account, and/or legal process knowledge.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Must be able to sit the majority of the workday.
- Occasionally lifts up to 10 lbs. when moving/lifting manuals and binders.
- Exposed to a normal office environment.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.

What You'll Do:
The Analyst Charge Revenue Integrity handles the following:
- Perform charge capture functions, including review of clinical documentation and assignment of appropriate modifiers.
- Ensure accurate and timely charge capture for Emergency Departments within the Service Area.
- Position operates in a productivity-based environment with an expectation of reviewing and processing 105 Emergency Department charts per day.
- Provide feedback and education to Revenue Integrity colleagues regarding identified opportunities and process improvements.
- Review and respond to quality assurance reports related to missing charges, duplicate charges, missing modifiers, and other charge capture issues.
- Maintain and update required reference logs, tracking tools, and reporting resources.
- Compile data to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Support ongoing efforts to improve charge accuracy, compliance, and revenue integrity processes.

What you’ll need for this job:
Minimum Education:
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Experience:
Required: Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of relevant work experience in a hospital and/or Physician Practice environment and experience in revenue cycle, billing, coding and/or patient financial services. Charge control/capture work experience strongly preferred.
Experience working with current medical terminology, data entry, supply chain processes, hospital and/or Medical Group practice operations; hospital and/or Physician group practice revenue cycle front-end functions such as
patient registration that may impact charge related errors; and billing and regulatory guidelines related to charging and other revenue cycle processes and ability to assist clinical departments and/or physician practices with changes
to their charging practices based on guidelines
Licensure/Certifications:
Additional Qualifications (nice to have)
Licensure/Certification: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC/COC, AAPC or other coding credentials and/or Licensed Vocational
Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse licensure preferred. CHC (Healthcare Compliance Certification) preferred. CHRI
certification/membership strongly preferred
Compensation:
Pay range: $21.95hr- $32.92 hr.

The Cook prepares food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by your supervisor to assure quality food service is provided at all times.
- Reviews menus prior to preparation of food.
- Performs administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submits to the Manager.
- Ensures that menus are maintained and filed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Coordinate services with other departments as necessary.
- Assists in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis. Ensure that all procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Assists licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications
- Accurately selects, prepares, and labels medications for patients including hazardous drugs and controlled substances
- Assists with medication distribution tasks
- Screens phone calls and routes as needed using proper telephone and voicemail etiquette
- Assists in daily pharmacy procurement, inventory control, and outdate checking
- Complete documentation required for removing, stocking, and wasting controlled substances, where applicable
- Perform nonsterile compounding following proper USP standards, where applicable
- Perform sterile IV admixture, as defined at the entity level, using proper aseptic technique, where applicable
- Inspects all assigned medication storage areas for adherence to storage policies
- Completes and documents medication admission histories, as applicable at the facility level

Decontamination of Instruments and Equipment
1)Wears proper protective attire when performing decontamination.
2)Follows established procedures to ensure decontamination is complete and correct.

5)Follow all manufacture information for use sheets approved processes to package and/or wrap the trays/items for terminal sterilization.
Validation of Sterilization Equipment:
1)Runs appropriate tests for sterilizers; biological, bowie dick.
2)Validates and document in Censitrac Instrument Tracking system each sterilization cycle utilizing biological, chemical and mechanical indicators.
Performance of Sterilization
1)Utilizing the Censitrac Instrument Tracking system, scan all items into each sterilizer load.
2)Labels each item processed in the sterilizer with correct load label.
3)Position each item on the sterilizer cart to ensure sterilization.
4)Include Biological Challenge pack on the second load for each Steam Sterilizer and any load containing Implantable.
5)Observes and assesses the operation of each sterilizer for every cycle by interpreting the recorded data strip provided. Scan the strip into Censitrac Instrument Tracking system and document results of chemical and biological test.
6)Initiate a recall should any load fail to meet specified parameter. Notify Manager immediately.
Performance of Inventory/Storage/Distribution Functions
1)Places sterile items in appropriate area for distribution, ensuring the items are accurately sorted by department.
2)Receives supplies from warehouse and outside vendors, ensuring that supplies entering SPD are devoid of external contaminants.
3)Completes case carts for OR following the standard work for loading the cart and ensuring items requested are ready for distribution to OR.
4)Complete case cart assembly log and Case Cart Communication form per Standard work for each case cart built.
5)Assists with cleaning of storage areas and work stations to maintain a contaminant-free environment.
Performance of Low Temperature, Sterrad, Sterilization
1)Assure that all items are completely dry prior to assembly. Utilize Censitrac Instrument tracking system to assemble trays/instruments.
2)Wrap or containerize items for sterilization. Use Tyvek pouches for single instruments.
3)Run a biological test in the first load for each sterilizer daily.
4)Label each item placed in a sterilizer with a correct load label.
5)Position each item in the sterilizer cart to ensure sterilization.
6)Observes and assesses the operation of each sterilizer for every cycle by interpreting the recorded data strip provided. Scan the strip into Censitrac Instrument Tracking system and document results of chemical and biological test.

Education

The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Internal Medicine. This position is with is the academic outpatient internal medicine department at WVU Medicine. A growing academic Internal Medicine section that affords the faculty member teaching opportunities with internal medicine residents and medical students in an outpatient clinical setting. Internal Medicine faculty will also participate in didactic conferences and have access to scholarly and research opportunities. The primary hospital is Berkeley Medical Center, a 200-bed teaching hospital in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, with a 19 bed ICU, cardiac catheterization lab, interventional radiology, and the full range of medical and surgical consultative services. There are active Neurosurgical, Cardiovascular, and Oncology programs via our Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute, Heart and Vascular Institute, and Cancer Institute, respectively. Additional tertiary care support is provided by a strong collaborative relationship with Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
Qualifications: Candidate must have a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree, and be certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) National Commission and be eligible for state medical license.

- Daily, provides ongoing Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) care for entire hospital inpatient census, through screening, prioritizing, assessing, and recommending interventions. Adapts daily workflow to accommodate fluctuations in patient load due to daily census variations, consults, acuity, staffing challenges. Develops and implements a plan of care for patients based on an expert assessment of life cycle- and diagnosis-specific nutritional needs. Assessment includes reviews of medical history and laboratory data, patient interviews, and physical examinations to determine the current nutritional status of inpatients and/or outpatients. Based on the assessment, the Clinical Dietitian develops and implements individualized nutrition plan of care interventions. Documents medical nutrition therapy plan of care in the electronic medical record supporting system clinical documentation and coding standards to maximize reimbursement rates.
- Prescribes enteral and parenteral nutrition support orders by assessing the patient and calculating macronutrients and/or micronutrients, fluid, and electrolytes. Evaluates patient tolerance and effectiveness of formulas and manages initiation or modifications to enteral/parenteral regimen orders. The Clinical Dietitian demonstrates extensive knowledge of specialized nutrition support (parenteral and enteral) and triages issues and concerns through collaboration with physicians and pharmacy. Constant, secure communication with system level Pharmacy Integrated Clinical Services (PICS) team to manage and order Total Parental Nutrition (TPN) infusions for critically ill patients in the hospital.
- The Clinical Dietitian prescribes orders for therapeutic diets, oral nutrition supplements, and nutrition support regimens, including vitamins/minerals, fluid management, and lab work as indicated within the scope of the Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) protocol. Utilizes order-writing privileges to implement nutrition related orders. Collaborates with Food and Nutrition patient services team to ensure patient intake aligns with nutrition prescription and interdisciplinary plan of care. Partners with site patient services team to identify and recommend appropriate clinical nutrition formula and supplement substitutions during supply chain disruptions to reduce and eliminate significant disruptions to patient care. Partners with physicians, nursing, and nutrition patient services to ensure diet restrictions, allergy restrictions, supplement preferences and tube feedings are consistent with patient needs and personal, religious, and cultural preferences. Develops patient-specific menus for patients admitted with complex dietary needs (e.g., multiple food allergies, numerous diet restrictions, and/or low-use, high risk diet orders).
- Leads efforts to identify, treat and prevent malnutrition. Performs Nutrition Focused Physical Examinations of high-risk patients to evaluate the loss of specific muscles and subcutaneous body fat to determine the presence of and degree of malnutrition. Communicates findings to the medical team through medical record documentation to ensure maximized reimbursement. Provides medical nutrition therapy education to patients identified with moderate or severe malnutrition to improve patient outcomes and to positively impact inpatient readmission rates.
- Routinely documents elements of the Global Malnutrition Composite Score (GMCS) for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Nutrition Electronic Quality Indicators. Participates in Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) efforts to ensure nutrition care is safe and effective for patients. Maintains regulatory readiness. Supports department clinical initiatives to ensure compliance with safety initiatives, policies, and procedures, DNV regulations, and department standards.
- Identifies and documents billable nutrition diagnosis with supporting documentation. May provide clinical support to various hospital-based outpatient medical destination programs (e.g., cancer center, transplant clinic, digestive health programs, bariatric, cardiac rehab, heart failure, etc.) Enters charges for outpatient nutrition charge capture in electronic medical record.
- Supports partnerships with local didactic programs by precepting dietetic graduate students in clinical nutrition and/or foodservice management. Directs and monitors interns’ progress both daily and at designated touchpoints and provides feedback for growth and development. Communicates regularly with didactic program coordinator. Also, precepts medical residents and provides nutrition orientation as applicable. Provides nutrition lectures to medical residents for internal medicine, trauma, NICU/Peds, and family practice, as applicable.
- Collaborates routinely with discharge planners, home health, physicians, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary teams to address the full scope of the system-established priority points protocol for inpatient care. Participates in interdisciplinary team rounds, meetings, and care conferences to coordinate and collaborate on nutrition goals. Assists with transition to home or outside facilities by partnering with Care Management and/or Home Health to coordinate home enteral and/or parenteral nutrition needs.
- Provides medical nutrition therapy education to patients on prescribed diet, per established priority system, to improve patient knowledge/understanding of nutrition, diet therapy and compliance on prescribed diet. Education is provided to inpatients, outpatients and family members through individual counseling and classes. May provide nutrition in-services to teammates, as applicable.
- Provides clinical input into system clinical nutrition initiatives and practice changes. Participates in system subgroups/projects, as assigned, to develop and implement evidence-based nutrition practices, clinical initiatives and/or practice changes. Partners with system patient services and clinical teams to deploy system changes and updates regarding CBORD, EPIC, menus, emergency preparedness, downtime processes, formulary, clinical procedures, and policies. Liaisons between clinical nutrition and inpatient nursing and physicians to champion system clinical nutrition initiatives (e.g., new dysphagia standards, malnutrition coding practice changes, enteral nutrition equipment changes, malnutrition nurse screening changes, safety protocol changes, etc.) Assists (via in-person or remote coverage) other sites throughout the State, as needed, to provide clinical nutrition coverage to assure equitable patient care.

POSITION PURPOSE
Under supervision of the Environmental Services Manager / Designee, the Environmental Services Technician performs maintenance and repair work on buildings, property and equipment to ensure a comfortable, safe and clean environment for residents and staff members

Job Summary:
Responsible for coordination and oversight of the process required to maintain readiness for the Magnet Recognition Program of the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) application, written document submission, site visit and interim reporting. This includes nursing professional practice under the direction of Nursing Director and CNO; utilizing effective interpersonal/ communication, change management and leadership skills. Responsible for assuring the components of the Magnet Model are deployed and hardwired into the organization through coordination, education and consultation with leadership. Leads education for team members on the Magnet program and standards. Conducts a Magnet gap analysis and works closely with leadership to formulate plans to close the gaps in performance for the journey, designation, re-designation process. Accountable for collaborating with others to assure that nursing meets or exceeds selected standards of nursing excellence (e.g. Magnet Model), leveraging nursing professional practice and facilitating an integrated shared governance model for nursing.
Major Responsibilities:
Nursing Professional Development
1)Oversees ongoing educational needs assessment and utilizes results in the development and design of house wide education plans in alignment with the system nursing education strategic plan.

2)Mentors team members to ensure the development of enhanced knowledge related to Magnet.

- Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties which require lifting and pushing/pulling while utilizing proper technique and assistive devices. Performs tasks related to nutritional needs of patient under direction of RN to include diet review, tray set up/removal, proper positioning and diet selection.
- Performs tasks related to maintaining skin integrity to include proper repositioning and skin care. Ensures special patient supplies and appliances are provided and maintained such as TED hose and sequential compression devices.
- Under the direction of RN and as determined by site/unit requirements, may be required to remove IVs, provide post mortem care, and bladder scans.
- Practices within policies and procedures of infection prevention by demonstrating hand hygiene and knowledge of sterile and aseptic procedures, proper disposal of contaminated materials and utilizing proper attire when in direct contact with patients in isolation.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Minimum Qualifications:

·Interprets physician referrals and completes musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and/or integumentary evaluations utilizing appropriate methods.
·Establishes a plan of care and implements individual treatment based on evaluation results and functional goals.
·Monitors and evaluates outcomes and appropriately adjusts the individualized treatment plan based on the patient's response to treatment and provides status updates to physicians. Identifies factors affecting patient's physical and psychosocial comfort and attends to these needs.

Actual compensation offered in the Pay Range of $21.85- $32.80 for an MA or $24.10 - $36.15 for an LPN and will be based on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience and/or training.
We’re Looking For:
Licensure or Certifications
- LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices, and
- MA: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days unless department leader has determined it is not required.

Degrees:
- GED or HS Equivalency Diploma.
- LPN: Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing
- MA: Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.
What You’ll Do:
Schedule: Monday - Thursday - 7am - 1pm & Friday - 7am - 4:30pm
As a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse, you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.
As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:
- Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
- Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
- Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
- Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
- Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
- Additional department specific physical requirements may be identified for unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.
