*Duties*
* Lead and supervise the pharmacy team, including pharmacy technicians and support staff, to ensure efficient workflow and excellent patient service.
* Oversee medication dispensing, ensuring accuracy in medication administration, and deliver exceptional patient satisfaction.
* Manage inventory levels meticulously, including stock replenishment, medication , and storage, and controlled substance accountability.
* Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, state pharmacy laws, and hospital policies related to patient privacy and medication safety.
* Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy, including pediatrics and critical care cases.
* Utilize pharmacy software systems (EMR/EHR) for prescription processing, documentation, and record keeping.
* Provide clinical pharmacy services such as pain management consultations, immunizations, and medical management support.
* Collaborate with healthcare providers for medication reconciliation, medical terminology interpretation, physiology knowledge, and patient care planning.
*Experience*
* Previous retail experience as a pharmacist preferred.
* Completion of a pharmacy residency program is preferred to demonstrate advanced clinical training.
* Extensive clinical pharmacy experience with a focus on patient service, assessment, and medical management.
* Hands-on experience with pharmacy software systems (EMR/EHR), inventory management tools, and sterile compounding techniques.

Role Responsibilities: The Occupational Therapist will specialize in providing hand and upper extremity rehabilitation, working collaboratively with our hand surgeon to treat patients recovering from injury, surgery, or chronic upper‑extremity conditions.
Conducting comprehensive assessments of hand, wrist, elbow, and upper extremity function to determine impairments, activity limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans using therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and evidence‑based modalities to restore motion, strength, and function.
Designing, fabricating, and fitting custom orthoses/splints to protect healing structures, optimize positioning, or mobilize stiff joints.
Providing wound and scar management for post‑surgical or trauma cases (including edema control, scar remodeling, and protection protocols).
Progressing structured rehabilitation programs focused on range of motion, tendon protection, edema control, graded strengthening, and functional recovery across diagnoses (such as tendon injury, nerve injury, fractures, and arthritis).
Collaborating closely with the hand surgeon and interdisciplinary team to support optimal postoperative outcomes and care transitions.
Maintaining accurate, timely documentation of evaluations, interventions, goals, and outcomes in alignment with professional guidelines.
Participating in program development to expand and enhance Hand Therapy services within UHH (including protocols, care pathways, and patient‑education resources).

Qualifications:

Detect and report adverse drug reactions; promote formulary compliance and cost-effective medication use.
Serve as a drug information resource for healthcare staff.
Supervise and verify work of pharmacy technicians and interns; assist as needed.
Participate in code teams and ensure timely delivery of pharmacy services.
Optimize inventory and identify process improvements for patient care and medication management.
Maintain licensure, attend meetings, complete training, and stay current with pharmacy practices.
Adhere to hospital and department standards: professionalism, confidentiality, safety, and compliance with all regulations.
Requirements:
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy (BS or PharmD).
Current Wisconsin pharmacist license in good standing (and any other states licensed).
Prior hospital pharmacy experience, including unit-dose systems, USP compounding standards, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacy computer systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to collaborate effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
Competency in pharmacokinetic monitoring, anticoagulation, and hospital pharmacotherapy.
Benefits and Salary:
Starting at $61.72/hour, with higher pay based on experience.
