What you will do:
The Registered Professional Nurse has the responsibility and accountability to utilize the nursing process to diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential problems of individuals or groups. The Registered Professional Nurse works within and contributes to an environment where the St. Peter's Healthcare Services mission is actualized, patient outcomes are achieved, and professional practice is realized.
Responsibilities:
Brings patient to exam room, takes appropriate vital signs and documents in electronic medical record.
Review and update medication list to ensure accurate and complete list in electronic medical record (EMR) available for provider review and submission.
Complete referrals and tracks patients' compliance.
Review prescriptions electronically and send prescriptions to providers for review and submission.
Obtains patient consent for procedures as directed by provider.
Performs pre-visit planning and reviews quality metrics.
Retrieves telephonic clinical information from patients who call into the office.
Monitors task list and completes tasks assigned by provider in a timely manner based on urgency.
Educates patients regarding medication, testing procedures and home care techniques.
Ensure proper labeling, handling and documentation for patient specimens.
Follow up with patient regarding test results based on advice given by provider.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment including disinfecting patient care areas and equipment.
In conjunction with other nursing colleagues, maintains the medical supply cabinet and drug cabinet.
Uses the electronic medical record to communicate effectively.
Performs quality assurance duties as assigned.
Provides a clinical visit summary (Patient Plan) to patient as requested including educational materials.
Participates in daily Patient Care huddles as appropriate.
Works cooperatively with all colleagues to ensure quality patient care at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What you will need:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
HS Diploma/equivalent required
Current unencumbered NYS RN license
Basic Life Support certification
6 months previous RN experience
Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
Pay Range: $36.00 - $47.52

Admissions from the ED. Will also function as a discharge lounge if OBS admissions are low. In peak census times, may function as a rapid admission unit from the ED to decompress the ED pending bed availability on M/S units. Will work closely with Hospitalist and CM/UM assigned to unit.

What you will do:
- Deliver care, including assessing needs, planning and meetings the needs of patients in the Observation/Clinical Decision Unit for fast paced, frequent patient turn over.
Responsibilities:
- The RN is responsible for assessing the needs of each patient where assigned
- Planning the nursing care needed, including spiritual, emotional and physiological needs. Once planned, the RN is responsible for seeing that the plan of care is carried out through performance and or leadership of supervised personnel and that the plan of care is evaluated
- The RN is directly accountable to the Nurse Manager for the quality of patient care delivered
- The RN modifies and delivers care that is specific to the age, growth and development of patients according to the unit scope of services
- When serving in the charge role, the RN is responsible for clinical and leadership functions, for assessing the needs of each patient and planning the nursing care needed to meet those needs
What you will need:
- A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York
- ASN required, BSN preferred from an accredited nursing program
- Registered Nurses must possess the ability to assess, plan, direct, intervene and evaluate patient care
- The RN must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written
- Minimum 1 year of RN Acute experience
Pay Range: $40.00 - $41.60

POSITION PURPOSE
Provides Planned Maintenance (PM), safety testing, repairs, calibration, installation, routine and emergency service to general and various specialized diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment, as assigned by the Clinical Engineering (CE) Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs PM procedures on multiple types of general and specialized clinical equipment.
Performs PM procedures using manufacturer’s recommendations, standards or code requirements, as well as industry acceptable processes as guidelines.
Performs corrective maintenance procedures including diagnosing problems using thermodynamic, electronic/electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or other sciences and documents results of activities performed to comply with all regulatory and standard requirements.
Notifies equipment users, CE Managers, and Regional Director of repair status and delays as necessary.
Interacts with clinical staff to understand and resolve operational problems in scheduling and completing PM procedures while minimizing interference to hospital departments.
Determines need for replacement parts and supplies, selects the most cost effective source, and submits properly completed parts request using established policies and guidelines.
Completes corrective and planned maintenance work order documentation per policy.
Promotes teamwork by keeping others informed, participating effectively in group decision making, works to accomplish team objectives and projects, and solicits feedback about one's effectiveness as a team member.
Continually improves processes by seeking ways to eliminate and reduce waste.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Working knowledge and ability to use basic hand tools and test equipment specific to the field. Ability to train CE associates on use and application of select test equipment.

- Communicates with physicians and other members of the health care team. Documents and communicates accurate and timely information regarding patient conditions.
- Performs advanced clinical tasks or skills such as removal of sutures and staples, catheterization, audiograms, laboratory procedures (throat/nose culture, drug screen, phlebotomy - butterfly, venous access, heel stick), EKG, spirometry, Holter monitor application, casting, complex wound care, etc., with demonstrated competency and under clinical supervision.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices, and
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days unless department leader has determined it is not required.

4. Enters payments/charges for services rendered and performs daily payment/charge reconciliation in a timely and accurate manner. Balances cash drawer at the beginning and end of the day and prepares daily bank deposit with necessary paperwork sent to centralized billing for record purposes.
5. Schedules office visits and procedures within the medical practice(s) and external practices as necessary. Maximizes reimbursement by scheduling patients in accordance with payor plan provisions. Confirms patient appointments for the following day as necessary and ensures patients are properly prepared for visits.
6. Demonstrates proactive interpersonal communications skills while dealing with patient concerns through telephone calls, emails and in-person conversations. Optimizes patient flow by using effective customer service/communication skills by communicating to internal and external customers, care team, management, centralized services and HIMS.
7. Assists in responding to requests for patient medical records according to company policies and procedures, and state and federal laws.
8. Provides a variety of patient services to assist in patient flow including but not limited to escorting patients, taking vitals and patient history, assisting in patient treatment, distributing mail and fax information, ordering supplies, etc.
9. Works independently under regular supervision and follows structured work routines. POSITION SUMMARY
This position plans daily food production for assigned areas and produces all food items based on information obtained from production sheets, café menus, catering requests, and any other approved source.

1. Prepares all food items according to standardized recipes. Adjusts recipe quantities for correct yields. Notifies supervisor of any problems relating to production.

This position is responsible for providing support for the daily operations of a department, function, or center to ensure smooth work flow and operations. Responsibilities may include assisting in the management of an essential department function or process, as well as providing administrative and advanced secretarial support as indicated. Acts as a contact for external agencies, and when assigned, as a resource for various departments.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Performs a broad range of administrative support details on a regular basis, including composing correspondence, typing, filing, scheduling meetings, and maintaining appropriate databases. These details require initiative and judgment to make independent decisions. Maintains high degree of confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
2. Assists in department management processes including but not limited to: billing, specialized processes, budgeting, payroll, contract management, credentialing, licensing, accounts payable, and supply ordering.
3. Manages an essential department function, process or project which requires a specialized skill set such as budget preparation and monitoring of monthly financial reports for variances. Initiates requests for payments, purchase requisitions, and any additional paperwork related to the various financial matters for the department.
4. Responsible for assisting in coordinating, organizing, and preparing approved educational opportunities for relevant department courses. Performs administrative and reporting functions related to educational activities.
5. Compiles data, maintains all files/records and statistical updates needed to obtain state designation and verification. Coordinates and tracks CMEs, CEUs, and certifications for applicable positions and keeps records as indicated for regulatory agency, designation or verification organization. Participates in preparation for department reviews.
6. Coordinates and participates in special projects as assigned. May prepare special reports and summaries that utilize advanced computer skills/software for word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, documents, reports and presentations.
7. Interactions may include, but are not limited to, all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts, such as employees of other health care institutions, vendors, community providers and agencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a general knowledge of healthcare administration as normally obtained through the completion of an associate’s degree in business, healthcare administration or related field.
Requires a proficient knowledge of clerical and administrative services, education, training, and development as typically demonstrated through five years of experience in a business and/or healthcare environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Highly organized and responsive. Excellent human relations and interpersonal skills. Position requires proficiency in personal software applications, including word processing, generating spreadsheets, and creating graphics/presentations.

Nurses working in Mother/Baby unit have the support of comprehensive orientation developed by a clinical nurse specialist in maternal/child nursing, on-site BLS and neonatal resuscitation classes, as well as on going clinical education. The staff is highly involved in quality improvement activities, program development, recognition activities, and team building. The clinical ladder program provides the opportunity for professional growth through mentoring, opportunities for leadership, and generous educational funding.
Responsibilities:
- The RN is responsible for assessing the needs of each patient to which he or she is assigned
- Planning the nursing care needed to meet those needs, including spiritual, emotional and physiological needs. Once planned, the RN is responsible for seeing that the plan of care is carried out through performance and or leadership of supervised personnel and that the plan of care is evaluated
- Directly accountable to the Nurse Manager for the quality of patient care delivered
- Modifies and delivers care that is specific to the age, growth and development of patients according to the unit scope of services
- When serving in the charge role, he or she is responsible for clinical and leadership functions.
- Responsible for assessing the needs of each patient and planning the nursing care needed to meet those needs

- Current NYS RN
- One year of Med Surg or Maternity
Pay Range:$40.00 - $53.00
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
