As a Patient Care Technician with Sentara Health, you will have the opportunity to learn many new skills. From taking vitals to blood draws and daily care. The primary duties of this position include supporting the admission/discharge process, changing, bathing ambulating patients, drawing blood, foley catheter care, meeting patient needs while working under the direct supervision of a nurse. You will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to provide the best care for our patients.

Certification/Licensure
Must have one or more of the following:
- Graduate of Sentara Care Partner Certification Program
- Successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
- National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT)
- Completion of US Navy Hospital Corps School
- Emergency Services to include EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT and Paramedic
- Current student enrolled in a clinical program having completed at least one semester of a (RN, LPN, RT or PT) or current work experience within last three years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant.
Experience
Previous direct care experience preferred

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $18.93 - $27.41 hourly.

JOB SUMMARY
Supervises the 24-hour, daily operations of Patient Access at Saint Joseph Health System (SJHS) including coordinating and monitoring staff services at all points of Patient Access. Ensures encounters are in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, organizational policies and procedures. Ensures accurate billing and demographic information are obtained to effectively register all patients entering SJHS. Ensures third party benefit verification, prior authorizations are obtained, valid physician orders are obtained and facilitates obtaining pre-certification for all patients. Mentors less seasoned colleagues to ensure adequate staffing at all times in Patient Registration.
What You'll Need:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Two (2) to three (3) years experience working in a Pre-service or Patient Access operations with supervisory or lead responsibilities.
Certifications: Obtain National certification in HFMA CRCR, NAHAM CHAA & / or NAHAM CHAM required within one (1) year of hire.

About the job:
Impartially provides education about the availability of health insurance plans available to the recipient. Facilitates the enrollment process in the various health coverage programs offered by the HIE department. Provides information in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner to the population being served by the HIE department.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s in healthcare, Business, Marketing, Social Work and /or Behavioral Science or Business-related Degree highly preferred. 1-2 years Health insurance, Patient Scheduling, Patient Access, Patient registration, Patient Navigation, Patient Care Coordination, Compassionate Care, Health Related Field, Social Services, Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security Eligibility enrollment experience highly preferred.
Licensure: Must have or acquire a Resident Producer Insurance license, with the applicable state Department of Insurance for, Life & Health Insurance License within 30-90 days of employment, required. Is required to maintain an annual CMS Medicare / America’s Health Insurance Plan certification for the applicable selling year. Required to maintain annual carrier certification with each appointed carrier. Valid Indiana, or applicable state driver’s license and proof of valid automobile insurance.
Experience: Minimum of 1-2years experience in Health Insurance Sales, Medicaid Eligibility, Children’s Health Insurance Program, Health Care Patient Accounts, Patient Access/ Patient Registration, experience working with the disparate populations, and knowledge of state and federal aid programs highly preferred. Prior on-the-job training in medical clerical or compassionate skills is helpful. Prior leadership or management skills preferred.

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. These communication skills must foster team collaboration, ownership, and accountability. 2. Ability to handle conflict and confront challenging issues in a fast paced
work environment.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills, cooperation, tact and diplomacy are required to influence others to act appropriately both internally and externally to the department. Must demonstrate a cooperative demeanor and be comfortable
interacting with a wide variety of people.
4. Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office products.
5. Cannot have had the following denied, suspended or revoked: insurance agent or broker license, Indiana or Michigan Navigator certification or any other equivalent license or certification.
6. Cannot have been convicted of a disqualifying felony or other crime, including any unfair trade practices or fraud in the insurance business.
7. Must provide own transportation and be able to travel and work at various locations.

About the Role
Saint Joseph Hospital is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Associate (Area: Radiology) to join our Radiology team. In this role, you will support CT/Rad Technologists in delivering high-quality imaging services while ensuring a safe, patient-centered experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a radiologic technology student or recent graduate to gain hands-on clinical experience in a collaborative hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Radiology Technologists in performing radiographic procedures under direct supervision
Support patient positioning and safely assist or hold patients during imaging procedures
Prepare exam rooms and patients prior to procedures, including fluoroscopy exams
Assist Radiologists and Technologists during imaging and interventional procedures
Transport patients to and from the Radiology department safely and efficiently
Perform general support functions, including:
Answering phones and relaying messages
Obtaining and communicating orders (including verbal orders)
Preparing images and reports upon request
Operate and demonstrate knowledge of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, including portable units and image viewing systems
Produce high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety principles
Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, including proper use of positioning devices
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must be a current second-year student or graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
Licensure/Certification
Current BLS/CPR certification required

Strong analytical and organizational skills to support Radiology operations

- Responsible for the daily management of an assigned patient caseload, ensuring timely care and documentation to meet the patent needs/services as prescribed in the established plan of care and per MD orders.
- Collects data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation from patient assessments in the home setting, telephonic contacts and/or related EMR information available.
- Evaluates the ST patient to determine the rehabilitation needs, potential for achievement, and develops a plan of care in conjunction with the patient's physician.
- Establishes and implements plan of care, performs ST services certified by the patient's physician, and directs the care coordination of a multidisciplinary clinical team approach to promote health and safe outcomes.
- Maintains communication with multidisciplinary team providing updates and changes in schedules, patient data or needs, and physician orders.
- Incorporates short and long-term goals established in the plan of care into therapy, as evidenced by documentation in visit notes, monthly progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Supports effective communication and collaboration with the physician oversight, and branch supervision to ensure timely feedback regarding patients' condition and/or need for changes in the plan of care.
- Remains and performs ordered treatments, therapies, and/or procedures in accordance with The Licensure Act for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists and Home Health Conditions of Participation, TJC, Medicare Guidelines, OASIS and agency policy and procedures.
Physical Requirements
Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 50 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Ability to travel extensively during all seasons to assigned patients place of residence. Works in a variety of home environments and conditions. Must speak English in good, understandable terms. Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch. Finger dexterity. Critical thinking and ability to concentrate. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions. Ability to work flexible schedule to meet patients' needs. Personal Protective Equipment such as gloves, goggles, gowns, and masks are sometimes required due to possible exposure to hazardous chemicals or blood and body fluids.Education, Experience and Certifications
Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology as well as current state licensure required. BLS required per policy guidelines.
