Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and highly qualified Athletic Trainer to join our outpatient care team. In this role, you will develop, implement and maintain comprehensive health care programs for patients, clients and athletes. The practice of athletic training includes injury/illness prevention and wellness protection, clinical evaluation and recommendations for immediate and emergency care, treatment and rehabilitation, and organizational and professional health and well-being of individuals, all under the direction of a physician.
What You'll Do:
- Provide clinical evaluation and assessment of an individual for an injury or illness.
- Assists clinical staff with the operation of the clinic
- Reviews patients’ medical histories and applied them in evaluation, assessment and processes.
- Provides wound management
- Applied appropriate crutch and brace fitting, cast, and splinting.
- Provides patient/family education as directed by healthcare provider.
- Directly enters medication, laboratory and radiology orders into the electronic medical record per guidelines.
- Assists with ongoing training of existing orthopaedic clinical staff.
General Requirements:
- EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine or related field if completed before 2020: otherwise, effective 2020, Masters degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine or related field required.
- CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: Current State of Michigan Athletic Trainer License. NATA BOC Certification preferred. Valid American Heart Association CPR certification.
- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: One year of related experience preferred.

POC
- Coordination of the point of care testing activities at all Bronson Healthcare Group locations including hospital entities and ambulatory services.
- Facilitates regulatory compliance of CAP accreditation standards for moderate complexity POC testing. Functions in role of Technical Consultant satisfying responsibilities delegated by laboratory medical director.
- Oversees waived testing and facilitates compliance of TJC waived testing standards
- Collaborates with clinical representatives and educators to ensure training and competency requirements for all staff performing POCT are met
• Works in conjunction with Purchasing and vendors, assists in maintaining adequate supplies and
inventory for section.
• Assists one-up with work review and consults with pathologists as required.
• Uses critical thinking to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
• Acts as a resource for healthcare providers on matters relating to testing methodology and quality
concerns.

- Current driver’s license in the state of Michigan and excellent driving record is required.

Proof of valid auto insurance on that vehicle that will be driven while on duty for Bronson is required. Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology programs. Requires national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) based on modalities in which they will be conducting work and licensure by the state regulatory agency as applicable. As of August 1, 2019, all Multi-Modality Technologist's hired on or after August 1,2019 will be required to have an advance certification by an accrediting body in a specialty if applicable. This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with 2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience. 6. Maintains a complete patient record with admission, transfer, and discharge information, progress notes, and consent forms. Ensures that all reports and chart forms are scanned or filed into the patient’s record. Ensures that charting forms are labeled and accessible if they are needed. Maintains adequate supplies of frequently used, patient education materials. Assists in the ordering of patient specimens. May transcribe and process physician orders effectively using the electronic medical record.
7. Maintains adequate levels of office, dietary, and medical supplies and completes requisition forms when supplies need to be ordered. Reconciles supply order upon delivery. Functional Role (not inclusive of titles or advancement career progression)
Responsible for ensuring accurate CPT/HCPCS documentation for the patient billing process and educating colleagues and ancillary departments in accurately documenting services performed and using the appropriate codes representing those services.
Responsible for charge capture in Revenue Integrity assigned areas.
Review's chart, including nursing notes, physician orders, progress notes, and surgical or specialty notes thoroughly to interpret and validate and/or extract all charges.
Verifies charges captured on the correct patient, correct encounter, correct date of service, with any required modifiers.
Review's documentation, abstracts data and ensure charges/coding are in alignment within AMA and Medicare coding guidelines.
Performs coding functions, including CPT, ICD-10 assignment, documentation review and claim denial review
Responsible for working the pre-bill edits within key metrics, including but not limited to OCE/CCI, & DNFB.
Provides “at-elbow support” to ancillary departments including but not limited to; ensuring supply charges are appropriate captured (may include implants), identify duplicate charges and initiate appropriate communications when there are documentation and/or charge deficiencies or charge errors.
Performs charge entry, charge approvals, and/or quality charge reviews; including but not limited to, appending modifiers, and checking clinical documentation. Provides feedback to intra-departmental Revenue Integrity colleagues including areas of opportunity.
Responsible for coding and/or validation of charges for more complex service lines, advanced proficiencies in surgical or specialty coding practice.
Educates clinical staff on need for accurate and complete documentation to ensure revenue optimization and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in healthcare, business administration, finance, accounting, or related field or equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
Licensure/Certification: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC/COC, AAPC or other coding credentials required
Minimum three (3) years of relevant coding and charge control work experience in a hospital and/or Physician Practice environment and experience in revenue cycle, billing, coding, and/or patient financial services.
Must possess a demonstrated knowledge of clinical processes, charge master maintenance, clinical coding (CPT, ICD-10, revenue codes & modifiers), charging processes & audits, & clinical billing
Working knowledge of third-party payer rules & requirements, computer operations & electronic interfaces related to charge documentation, capture & billing is required.
Knowledge of charge capture, reconciliation, error management operations & overall revenue cycle operations required.

Position Purpose
Under the direction of a registered nurse, the patient care technician is responsible for direct patient care considering age specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs. Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies. Assists in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe and conducive to patient/family well being including concepts of relationship based care.
Shifts Available: 7:00 am – 7:00
Status available: Part-time
Every Other Weekend and 3 Holidays per year required for Full-time and Part-time team members.
Required Qualifications:
Education
High school diploma or GED.
Experience
Preferred minimum of one year of previous direct care experience (acute or long term) OR successful completion of CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course OR Student nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program.

Performs nursing care as delegated by the RN in an effort to identify/attain treatment goals such as:
