POSITION PURPOSE
Under general supervision, the electronic technician is responsible for the safe and effective operation of electronic equipment. This includes but is not limited to: public address systems, patient beds, audio-visual systems, alarm systems, low-voltage controls/locks, copiers, fax machines, printers, etc.
This position requires the technician to perform Preventive Maintenance (PM), safety testing, repairs, calibration, installation, routine and emergency service, and appropriate modifications to electronic equipment, as needed and or determined by Clinical Engineering management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Knows, understands, incorporates and demonstrates the mission, vision and core values of Trinity Health and the Ministry Organization in leadership behaviors, practices and decisions. Possesses the technical skills necessary to troubleshoot, install, test, repair, and maintain various non-patient electrical systems or equipment. Calibrates, performs inspections and repairs non-patient care equipment. Provides timely equipment repair on all assigned service calls. Provides timely completion of all assigned PM. Provides accurate and timely documentation on all assigned work. Notifies equipment users and Clinical Engineering Management of repair status and delays as necessary. Maintains positive and respectful attitude in all departmental relationships. Exhibits a desire and willingness to develop skills pertinent to the electronic technician function or other departmental functions. Determines need for replacement parts and supplies, selects the most cost effective source, and submits properly completed parts request using established policies and guidelines. Promotes teamwork by keeping others informed, participating effectively in group decision making, works to accomplish team objectives and projects, and solicits feedback about one's effectiveness as a team member. Continually improves processes by seeking ways to eliminate and reduce waste. Performs other duties as assigned or requested by CE Manager. Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must meet at least one of the following criteria for education, licensure, certification and/or experience:
Associates of Applied Science Degree in electronics or equivalent.
2 years experience as an electronic technician
High School or college certificate in electronics
Must have knowledge of electronic standards and the ability to determine safe equipment operation and use. Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams. Must be able to troubleshoot malfunctioning electronic equipment down to component level. Completes corrective and planned maintenance work order documentation. Possess organizational skills, spelling, and understanding of acceptable grammar. Must have working knowledge of normal electrical/electronic safety procedures and schematics.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be physically able to balance, bend, climb, crawl, crouch, kneel, reach, sit, squat, stand, twist, and walk. Possess ability to mentally concentrate while being subject to stress, interruptions and changing work priorities. Must be able to work and follow OSHA guidelines while in a hazardous environment(s) such as electrocution potentials, mechanical energies, bloodborne/airborne pathogens, dust and inclement weather, marked changes in temperature and/or humidity, radiation, fumes/vapors, sharp instruments/tools, hazardous liquids, and operating devices. Must be able to hear speech, distinguish sounds, and speak. Must have near vision, far vision, depth perception, and be able to distinguish colors. Must have sensory ability to distinguish hot, cold, range of temperature, surfaces, fine motor skills, manual dexterity, and detect/distinguish odors. Must be able to carry or lift up to 50 pounds routinely (50% of the time) and on occasion (5% of the time) up to 100 pounds. Must be able to push or pull over 100 pounds frequently (20% of the time). Maintains safe working environment for self, other associates, patients, visitors, and medical staff in accordance with applicable standards and procedures relevant to job duties. Must be able to adapt to frequently changing work priorities. Must be willing to travel to the various Trinity Health, Ministry Organizations, subsidiaries, and/or training facilities.

Ensures the timely completion of an application for initial and/or recredentialing by assisting the applicant in submitting all documentation necessary to process the application. Performs a variety of credentialing tasks at the direction of CVO management to complete the credentialing process for Trinity Health RHMs.
This position is an integral part of the credentialing team and is responsible for following credentialing policies and procedures; maintaining an accurate physician data base; collecting data; and participating in development and implementation of changes to the credentialing processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
Assists the Manager in the identification and scheduling of reappointment candidates.
Performs file audits and provides feedback on completed initial and reappointment credentialing files.
Assists in the training and orientation of new team members.
Assists in daily data entry to ensure an accurate physician data base.
Facilitates the integration of new RHMs into the CVO by assisting with data entry and/or data conversion into the physician data base.
Communicates regularly with applicants and the RHMs to complete all requirements of the credentialing criteria within specified timeframes.
Contacts various primary sources to gather the required verifications to complete the background investigation via telephone, fax transmissions, mailings and Internet to ensure rapid completion of the application.
Prepares documentation of all verifications including a summary of all verified references for each completed credentials file.
Assists in the reappointment process; collecting required information, verifying information, and completing appropriate follow-up to complete the reappointment application.
Meets processing time thresholds consistently and with minimal error.
Assists with the initial drafting of RHM privilege forms in the PCCB module of the credentialing data base.
Maintains the confidentiality of information acquired pertaining to patient, physicians, employees, and external entities.
Maintains a customer-focus attitude, good rapport, and cooperative relationships. Approaches conflict in a constructive manner. Helps to identify problems, offer solutions, and participate in their resolution. Tracks errors and complaints to assist with process improvement activities.
Participates in professional development programs and professional organizations to grow in understanding of the various regulations and legislation of the health care industry as appropriate.
Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships. Approaches conflict in a constructive manner. Helps to identify problems, offer solutions, and participate in their resolution.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess two years of post-high school education, training, or experience. Associates degree in health administration or a related field preferred.
One year of work experience in the health care environment and general knowledge of the health care industry including hospital settings, physician practices, and managed care organizations.
Knowledge and understanding of NCQA and TJC standards, NPDB guidelines, hospital policies and procedures, and general licensing regulations.
Knowledge and experience with database organization and management, report generating languages, PC's and proficiency in Windows-based word processing software.
Current CPCS and/or CPMSM eligibility by the National Association Medical Staff Services preferred but not required.
Strong communication skills including the ability to correspond effectively, as well as verbally convey information clearly, listen actively, and consider varying viewpoints when making decisions.
Strong statistical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability and desire to provide quality service to others.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to provide attention to detail and thoroughness.
Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs PM procedures on multiple types of general and specialized clinical equipment.
Performs PM procedures using manufacturers' recommendations, standards or code requirements, as well as industry acceptable processes as guidelines.
Performs Corrective Maintenance (CM) procedures including diagnosing problems using thermodynamic, electronic/electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or other related sciences and documents results of activities performed to comply with all regulatory and standards requirements.
Notifies equipment users and Clinical Engineering Management of repair status and delays as necessary.
Interacts with clinical staff to understand and resolve operational problems in scheduling and completing PM procedures while minimizing interference to hospital departments.
Determines need for replacement parts and supplies, selects the most cost effective source, and submits properly completed parts request using established policies and guidelines.
Completes corrective and planned maintenance work order documentation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associates of Applied Sciences degree in medical electronics, electronic technology or related field, including comparable military training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
One to two-years experience performing corrective and planned maintenance on medical equipment per policy.
Must have a basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Working knowledge and ability to use basic hand tools and test equipment specific to the field. Ability to train CE associates on use and application of select test equipment.
Must have knowledge and understanding of OSHA, NFPA, The Joint Commission, EOC, FDA and other specific regulations and standards pertaining to clinical equipment service and repair.
Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity and caring with ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals and values of Trinity Health, Ministry Organizations, and Clinical Engineering.
Must have basic understanding of personal computer operation, applications, and ability to input data using keyboard. Technician must be able to follow complex written instructions, perform tasks and document actions taken.

Position Summary:
Operates MRI equipment for diagnostic purposes. POSITION PURPOSE
Facilitates communication and coordinates care with the patient, primary and specialty care physician, and hospital departments on standardized care pathways. Ensures the availability, access, and timeliness of services to optimize quality of care, coordination, and patient experience. Provides evaluation, education, coordination, and referral to patients identified with an incidental radiological finding with recommended follow-up. Works collaboratively with other FIND/LCS staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ensures all patients that are identified with incidental and/or unexpected findings with recommended follow-up are contacted and offered the option of the recommended follow-up.
Provides personalized nurse navigation interventions to patients who request additional information, assessment and/or referral. This includes assessment of patient educational level, barriers to learning and other psychosocial factors that may impede remarkable care.
Ensures provider time is utilized efficiently by ensuring appropriate follow-up intervals are recommended for incidental and/or unexpected findings and that duplicate follow-up requests are avoided.
Supports provider decision making by:
Directing patients to the correct provider based on the recommendation for follow-up of incidental and/or unexpected findings.
Assisting PCPs in ensuring their patients get appropriate follow-up for incidental and/or unexpected findings at intervals specifically recommended by the radiologist. Obtaining additional imaging for incidental and/or unexpected findings only at the specific request of the PCP. Provides education and navigation through the follow-up process. Providing referral and education based on care deemed appropriate.
Utilizes the available software programs to track daily/periodic assignments.
Maintains frequent communication with local and regional colleagues involved in the Incidental Finding program as well as the Radiology and Oncology departments to facilitate the development of the program and maximize patient care.
Functions independently while remaining calm in a high-stress environment. Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships. Approaches conflict in a constructive manner. Helps to identify problems, offer solutions, and participate in their resolution. Performs other duties as assigned.
Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
Three (3) to five (5) years of progressive clinical nursing experience is required.
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan. Additional state-specific licensing may also be required.
Problem solving skills and ability to initiate creative solutions to problems.
Demonstrated ability to expertly navigate a variety of software applications.
Effectively communicate with Medical Staff, departmental staff, Trinity Health department representatives, physicians, other health providers and facilities.
Working knowledge of Radiology procedures protocols and processes, preferred.
Knowledge of Windows based programs.
Effective organizational skills.
