Position Title
Position Summary / Career Interest:
This specialty certified technologist assists in the performance of diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic radiologic and ultrasonic guided imaging procedures. This technologist is highly trained in working in surgical type work environments and is specifically trained to work in a sterile field. This job description has been approved by the Radiology Director, Chairman of Radiology, and Executive Committee of the Medical Staff.Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions- Must maintain competence in assisting during physician supervised procedures with proper sterile preparation of patient access areas, procedure trays and miscellaneous supplies and devices used during the procedure.
- This technologist is also accountable for ensuring the proper documentation of the use of contrast material and ensuring there is appropriate documentation related to patient charges.
- Must maintain professional, clinical, and technical competency to perform radiologic diagnostic imaging procedures incorporating access techniques developed for specific vascular (arterial and venous), spinal, neurological and general chest, abdomen, pelvis and extremity locations.
- Responsible for completion of mandatory educational assignments as provided by the supervisor, nurse manager or director
- The technologist follows all organizational policies in regard to confidentiality, HIPPA and maintaining a safe and protected work environment.
- The technologist is responsible for reporting any action that is detrimental to co-workers, patients, physicians and this organization.
- The technologist is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Rooms and equipment should be properly cleaned prior to each procedure.
- Organizational policies for infection reduction are to be closely followed and maintained.
- This technologist is personally responsible for maintaining required state and national licensure as a technologist, certification for life support response and IV competence.
- This technologist is required to be able to understand and utilize the inventory tracking system and be able to order supplies when the opportunity presents.
- This technologist is responsible for maintaining proper radiation protection (apron, thyroid, glasses) and ensuring that personal radiation monitoring device is worn appropriately at all times during procedures.
- This technologist participates with patient safety by participating in “time out” procedures, post procedure “huddles” and abiding by the organizational policies and guidelines related to Culture of Safety.
- This technologist position does require participating in regular on-call responsibilities and is frequently required to stay and work overtime to provide coverage to complete patient care needs.
- This technologist will participate in the training process developed for technologist preceptorship and provide assistance to Radiology residents as requested.

- 1 or more years Previous Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or Electrophysiology Lab
Required Licensure and Certification
- Basic Life Support Heartsaver (BLS HS) (Non-Clinical) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) - State Board of Healing Arts within 90 Days

Proposed Schedule:This posting is for PRN (as-needed) opportunities at clinic locations in Olathe. PRN employees provide additional staffing support as needed, including coverage for vacations, sick leave, and other staffing needs that may arise.
Most clinics operate Monday through Friday from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some locations offer urgent care services with hours extending as late as 7:00 p.m. Scheduling and hours will vary based on the needs of the clinic.
Patient Access Representative is responsible for greeting patients and visitors in the numerous outpatient registration areas. The Patient Access Representative is typically the first point of contact for our patients and visitors and customer service skills are monitored for excellence. They are held accountable for obtaining correct patient demographic and insurance information to ensure proper reimbursement is made to the hospital. Financial communication with patients will be handled in a positive and professional manner.Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Greets customers in prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
- Verifies patient information and assures that patient completes and signs appropriate paperwork. Obtains copies of insurance cards, driver license and enters/updates patient demographic and insurance information in computer system both accurately and in timely manner. Compiles and maintains all forms and/or documents in the patient's medical record.
- Maintains appointment scheduling system to include scheduling, coordinating, and adjusting patient appointments appropriate to patient's request, provider schedule, and computerized system capability. Consistently follows "No-Show" procedure. Completes appointment reminder calls.
- Answers telephone promptly, screens calls, takes complete message including all necessary triage information or route/transfers call to appropriate staff member. Efficiently distributes information to nursing and medical support staff, accurately, and in a courteous and timely manner.
- Consistently collects patient co-pay and outstanding account balances.
- Prepares office batches and balances patient payments received at the completion of each workday.
- Serves as liaison between patient and medical support staff. Communicates with insurance company for necessary information regarding referral information and/or assists patient with scheduling specialist appointment and/or testing.
- Checks out patients providing visit specific information and schedules future appointments.
- Maintains clean, orderly front desk and waiting area.
- PARs with PAR/Clinical access to the electronic medical record will timely and accurately enter patient clinical information in the EMR as related to assigned tasks associated with PAR/Clinical access.
- Participates fully as a member of the Patient Centered Medical Home Team.

Physician - RheumatologistThe University of Kansas Health System, Division of Allergy, Clinical Immunology, and Rheumatology, is seeking a full-time Rheumatologist to join its dynamic team and support the department's mission of delivering the highest quality patient care while advancing teaching, research, and academic excellence. This position offers a unique opportunity to improve access to rheumatologic care across Kansas through innovative telehealth initiatives and statewide specialty care collaboration, with a commitment to keeping care close to home whenever clinically appropriate while ensuring patients have access to the advanced specialty care available through an academic health system.
The Division of Allergy, Clinical Immunology, and Rheumatology offers a collegial and well-supported practice environment with 22 physicians and 2 Advanced Practice Providers. Physicians are supported by dedicated nursing staff, including 1:1 RN support, multiple LPNs and Medical Assistants, and four clinical PharmDs. Additional resources include two infusion therapy units, a fully integrated clinical trials program, and access to musculoskeletal ultrasound. The Division's size and depth of expertise foster collaboration while supporting the delivery of exceptional patient care across the region.
About the Position:
- Participate in the development and implementation of coordinated specialty care networks designed to improve access to high-demand rheumatology services across rural and underserved regions of the state of Kansas.
- Collaborate on statewide assessments of specialty care gaps, utilizing population health data to optimize care delivery, enhance patient outcomes, and inform scalable best practices for rheumatology services.
- Partner with health system and community stakeholders to advance physician integration, care coordination, and workforce development initiatives that strengthen local healthcare delivery, support community-based services, and improve access to rheumatology resources.
- Dedicate a portion of clinical effort to providing telehealth rheumatology services that expand access to specialty care for rural and underserved communities throughout Kansas.
- Attend on the rheumatology consult service.
- Provide comprehensive outpatient rheumatologic care.

Under the direction of the Head Team Physicians, responsible for the athletic training needs of the student-athletes of the designated sport(s). Work closely with sport coaches, strength and conditioning coaches, other health care providers and athletic administrators concerning the health and wellness of student athletes.Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions- Serve as the primary athletic trainer for assigned teams.
- Assist with the organization and supervision of health care delivery to student-athletes under the supervision of Head Team Physicians.
- Prepare timely and accurate documents, e.g., injury/illness reports, care and reconditioning updates, daily athletic training records, injury/illness summaries for coaches, medical and other correspondence.
- Properly document injuries as well as treatment and rehabilitation sessions of injured athletes.
- Utilize evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation techniques when providing health care for student-athletes.
- Follow prescribed rehabilitation and treatment protocols of team physicians when providing health care for injured or sick athletes.
- Communicate effectively with team physicians, coaches regarding injured or sick athletes.
- Communicate effectively with strength and conditioning coaches regarding the injured student-athletes strength and conditioning parameters and limitations associated with injury rehabilitation.
- Coordinate student-athletes evaluations and treatment follow-ups to physicians.
- Coordinate athletic training services for athletic summer camps.
- Maintain NATA-BOC certification and the State of Kansas licensure.
- When requested, supervise student-athletes in the Athletic Training program.
- Selected Athletic Trainers: • Mentor students within the undergraduate athletic training major and serve as a classroom and/or laboratory instructor • Participate in the athletic training major curriculum as a Preceptor in cooperation with the Program Director and the Clinical Coordinator. Provide direct supervision of athletic training students completing clinical experience practicum in the Kansas Athletics’ athletic training clinics • When requested, supervise Graduate Assistant Certified Athletic Trainer assigned by Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Medicine. • Adhere to Health System, University, Big 12 Conference, Kansas Athletics, and NCAA policies and procedures. • Maintain knowledge of Health System, departmental activities, sports schedules and procedures. • Foster cooperative working relationships with immediate supervisor and staff members who work within or outside the work unit. • Maintain a positive attitude toward performing job duties and in working with other staff members. • Exhibit professional decorum at all times.

Required Education and Experience
- High School Graduate
- Bachelors Degree in Athletic Training, Physical Education, Health or related field from an accredited college or university (Prior to 2022) OR
- Master's Degree in Athletic Training, Physical Education, Health or related field from an accredited college or university (After 2022)
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience working with collegiate or national level
- Experience with Manual Therapy
- Experience with PRI
Required Licensure and Certification
- Certified Athletic Trainer - Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC ATC) with the State in which the work will be performed
- Licensed Athletic Trainer (AT) - State Board of Healing Arts
- CPR/ AED/ BLS - Other BLS
Knowledge Requirements
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
