In this role, you will support day-to-day department operations, lead process improvement and quality initiatives, and contribute to projects that enhance patient outcomes, experience, and regulatory compliance. Working closely with nursing leadership, you will help drive strategic priorities, promote operational excellence, and support staff in delivering high-quality care. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who is passionate about leadership, collaboration, and making a meaningful impact across emergency and psychiatric services.

Position Summary
The Optometrist is responsible for providing comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing and managing diseases and disorders of the visual system, prescribing corrective lenses, and coordinating care with primary care providers and specialists when appropriate. The Optometrist plays an integral role in Camden Family Health's interdisciplinary care model and is committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
Essential Responsibilities
* Perform comprehensive eye examinations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
* Diagnose, treat, and manage ocular diseases and vision disorders.
* Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision correction options.
* Detect systemic diseases that present through ocular findings and coordinate referrals as appropriate.
* Provide patient education regarding eye health, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
* Maintain complete and accurate electronic medical records in accordance with organizational standards.
* Collaborate with primary care, behavioral health, and dental providers to ensure coordinated patient care.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and organizational performance goals.
* Support outreach activities and community vision health initiatives as requested.
* Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and organizational policies and professional standards.
Qualifications
*Required:*
* Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
* Current or eligible West Virginia Optometry License.
* Current DEA registration (if applicable).
