Position Summary
We’re seeking an RN Case Manager to join our incredible MultiCare Hospice team. This is an excellent opportunity to facilitate interdisciplinary plans of care as you guide patient progress toward achieving clinical, quality and cost-effective outcomes.

Responsibilities:
- You will organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating on an ongoing basis
- You will utilize the knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols
- Collaborate with the nursing team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience and cost reduction
- Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff and members of the health care team
- Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service may be considered in lieu of education agreement
- Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
- Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
- Current BLS Certification
- 1 year of experience in Hospice (preferred). other nursing experience will be considered by hiring manager.

Pay and Benefit Expectations

Position Summary
The Echocardiographer (cardiac sonographer) is responsible for obtaining high quality recordings of ultrasound images of the heart and related structures for the cardiologist who will interpret the examination. This is a technical position requiring a highly skilled operator with knowledge of the various types of ultrasound procedures. Work situations require clinical interpretive knowledge, independent judgment, initiative, and ingenuity in performing procedures. External contacts include patients, family members, and physicians. Internal contacts are basically within the work group.Responsibilities:
- Performs echocardiographic studies on patients
- Completes the echocardiography worksheet with quantitative calculations, measurements, and descriptive information acquired while performing the study on each patient
- Performs clerical procedures, to include scheduling, answering phones, filing, notification of interpreting cardiologists, preliminary report circulation, material stocking, data basing, and charging
- Performs cleaning and maintenance of ultrasound and other equipment
- Knowledge of and a thorough understanding of the physical principles of ultrasound and ultrasound systems
- Knowledge of cardiac abnormalities in order to produce diagnostic echocardiograms
- Skill in the performance of the technique so as to produce complete anatomic and functional information for the interpreting cardiologist
- Skill in making quantitative calculations from echocardiograph data obtained while performing the study
- Skill in interacting and communicating with fellow employees, physicians and patients
- Skill in the techniques of CPR
- Skill in good oral, written and interpersonal communication, grammar and spelling
- Ability to perform routine quality checks on ultrasound equipment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Ability to set priorities and use good judgment
- Ability to share on-call hours evening and weekends and be able to work overtime in emergency situations
Requirements:
- Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International; or
- Must be currently enrolled or have completed an ultrasound technology training program and obtain the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International within 12 months from hire into the position
- Previous experience as an Echocardiographer preferred
- Current BLS required

Position Summary
The Security Officer is a key position on our Security Services team. In this role, you provide protection over MultiCare Health System properties and facilities. You will own the responsibility for the security and safety of MultiCare patients, employees, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Conduct general security in the protection of people and property and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules, and regulations.
- Deter criminal activity and misconduct utilizing tactical techniques.
- Utilize Management of Aggressive Behavior skills both verbally and physically as required.
- Apply the concepts of Awareness, Vigilance, Avoidance, Defense, and Escape to effectively protect and serve facility campus.
- Utilize weapons detection devices to monitor patients/visitors and ensuring the removal of contraband from facility.
- Apply appropriate techniques with assistive devices when engaging with combative/aggressive individuals.
- Effectively operate/leverage required security equipment and tools.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Current Washington or Idaho state driver’s license (driving is not required for this position at Navos Hospital).
- IAHSS basic certification or ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire date.
- Minimum six (6) months of experience in police, military, or security, preferable in a health care setting.
- Proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MultiCare Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state. (Not required at Navos Hospital)
- BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
- First Aid training within 30 days of hire.

- Current Medical Assistant-Certified, Medical Assistant-Phlebotomy Certification, or Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist eligible - must complete the training and submit application within 90 days of hire

This position requires specialized training and experience to perform independent, professional respiratory care, ventilator management, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and clinical evaluation of care, including the establishment of therapy and treatment objectives, and the review of care based on the age and needs of the patient. This position operates independently, under limited supervision. Internal contacts include patient care staff and management. External contacts include patients, families, physicians, outside health care providers, and other organizations.
Requirements
- Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Training program
- Registered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care
- Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the State of Washington
- Registry eligibility notice to sit for RRT exam from NBRC required
- Advanced cardiac life support credential required within 90 days of hire depending on age of the population served: ACLS, NRP, PALS
- Health Care Provider level CPR certification
- Minimum one (1) year of acute care experience in the field of respiratory therapy and critical care as CRT preferred

Location: Deaconess Emergency Department
Schedule: Primarily 12-hour day shifts

- Conduct mental health, suicide risk, and substance use assessments in a dynamic ER setting.
- Collaborate with Crisis Responders, psychiatric facilities, detox centers, and homeless shelters to ensure safe discharges for patients.
- Provide resources and emotional support to patients and families during traumatic situations.
- Problem-solve complex discharge plans and connect patients to community resources.

Position Summary
The Hospital Social Worker is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, responsible for cross continuum care coordination, psychosocial assessments, and psychosocial interventions. In this role you will identify opportunities to continually improve patient care, services and population health.
Responsibilities
- You will perform cross continuum care activities, which may include clinic, provider practice, urgent care, phone care agency, skilled care, or other sites of care, as appropriate
- You will provide customer service to the patient, family, physician/APP, and care team members to include discharge milestones and progression to next level of care
- You will model and orchestrate consistent, professional communications and maintain consistent and proactive communication patterns with colleagues and staff
- You will delegate responsibilities appropriately but remains accountable for outcomes
- You will ensure that the patient and family experiences medically appropriate transitions of care
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work
- Licensed in the state of Washington
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW); OR Social Worker Associate Independent Clinical (LSWAIC) with a commitment to obtain their LICSW within four (4) years
- Minimum three (3) years Hospital or equivalent experience
- Health industry knowledge preferred
- Healthcare financial assistance knowledge preferred
- Leadership experience a plus
