We are seeking compassionate, patient-focused Care Partners (Nursing Assistants) who are experienced and comfortable providing hands-on care and supporting clinical procedures, including venipuncture/blood draws, Foley catheter care, specimen collection, and other bedside patient care responsibilities.

Your Schedule:
- Full-Time Night Shift - 6:45 pm - 7:15 am (three 12-hour shifts/week)
- Shifts rotate throughout the week
- Note: Set schedules are not available. Schedules are determined by unit clinical staffing needs.
- All Employees (Night shift & PRN included) are required to attend hospital orientation during regular daytime hours during the first week of employment.
What You Need to Qualify:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) AND one of the following:
- Current enrollment in a professional nursing RN program with successful completion of the first semester (including nursing fundamentals clinical), or
- Graduation from a Nursing Assistant or Aide Training Program within the past year (certificate of completion required), or
- Minimum of one year of recent experience (within the past two years) as a care partner, nursing assistant, or patient care technician.

MCE Pharmacist Coordinator-2Job Summary:
Provides leadership in optimal product preparation and dosing of medications, and provision of patient specific drug information to include patient specific dosing. Aides in the prevention and reporting of medication errors and adverse drug reactions according to policy. Supports quality relationships with health care professionals, families, and patients; and the pharmacist is actively involved in being further educated and providing education in all appropriate ways..
Position Highlights
- Position will be located at the Medical Center East Pharmacy which is a 24-hour outpatient/discharge pharmacy.
- 7 on/7 off schedule (Wednesday - Tuesday).
- Weekday hours are 7:30am - 8:00pm and weekend hours are 8:30am - 7:00pm.
- Holiday rotation.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviews drug orders and/or prescriptions to ensure the safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medications.
- Provides outstanding patient care by optimizing medication preparation and resolving medication-related problems.
- Prepares and dispenses medications, provides drug information and manages medication therapy in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and hospital policy.
- Supervises the activities of assigned support personnel and verifying the accuracy and appropriateness of all medications prepared by support personnel prior to dispensing to patients or dispensing to healthcare providers for administration to patients.

Technical Capabilities
- Pharmaceutical Computer Literacy (Novice): Has demonstrated a proficient understanding of computers or has successfully completed training for applications that are used to support medication use processes. Is capable of using the fundamental features of pharmaceutical computer applications to support patient care issues of moderate difficulty.
- Pharmaceutical Drug Preparation, Dispensing & Distribution (Intermediate): Demonstrates proficiency of drug preparation, dispensing and distribution in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to review, prepare and assist the pharmacist in dispensing prescribed medications. This includes checking the accuracy and appropriateness of all medications dispensed along with maintaining the sterility of parenteral medications where applicable. Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job.
- Pharmaceutical Drug Preparation & Dispensing (Intermediate): Demonstrates proficiency in drug preparation and dispensing including practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to review, prepare and dispense prescribed medications. This includes being proficient in the general principles of aseptic technique utilized to compound sterile preparations (CSPs) to minimize the risk of contamination. (where applicable) Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job.
- Medication Management (Intermediate): Demonstrates proficiency in medication management in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully conducting Medication Management without requiring support and instruction from others. Has the ability to determine the clinical appropriateness of each medication taken by the patient, determine the appropriateness of the dose, dosage form, indication, contraindications, potential adverse effects and potential problems with concomitant medications. Able to monitor for therapeutic duplication or other unnecessary medications, interpret, monitor and assessing patient's laboratory results as they relate to medication therapy and provide drug information to other healthcare professionals, patients and their families.

This position will work under the supervision of the pharmacist performing routine duties in packaging, distribution, non-sterile compounding, and record-keeping of pharmaceutical supplies. Serves as a liaison between the customer and the pharmacist. Effectively uses pharmacy computer systems to investigate and respond to missing medication requests. Consistently demonstrates an ability to assess a situation, consider alternatives, and choose the appropriate course of action. Demonstrates proficiency in preparing compounded intravenous medications, total parenteral nutrition products, and chemotherapeutic agents within compliance with USP <797>/<800>. Ensures that the sterile compounding environment and all equipment are cleaned and maintained according to policy. May educate and train peer Pharmacy Technicians, Technician Externs, Technician Trainees, and Volunteers. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Identifies medications and other items for reorder as necessary to maintain a continuous inventory of medications and supplies. Receives, checks-in, and restocks medications ordered through the wholesaler and other vendors verifying all quantities against invoices. Assesses practical ways to deal with shorted items and short-dated or unusable items.
2. Manages users within the automated dispensing technology database as per policy. Investigates discrepancies and troubleshoots malfunctions in automated dispensing technology.
3. Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills and is customer service oriented in all contacts with patients, visitors and staff. Responds to standard requests from internal customers. Interacts primarily with department personnel, cross-department personnel, internal customers, patients and physicians.
4. May use automated dispensing technology or requisition to restock medications to nursing and ancillary areas after checking by a pharmacist. 5. Compounds non-sterile medication products. Understands and appropriately follows all product worksheets/recipes for documentation and check processes. Understands and adheres to all applicable USP compounding guidelines. Demonstrates knowledge of and consistently performs calibrations of equipment and accurately measures components for compounding. Repackages bulk medications into unit of use packaging. Completes accurate documentation of medications compounded and repackaged per policy.
6. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with all policies, laws, and regulations. Performs quality control activities such as monthly nursing unit inspections and pharmacy section checks in a timely manner. Completes documentation of refrigerator temperatures, and equipment maintenance activities as required.
7. Ensures the proper use of garbing and compounding techniques in accordance with policies and has knowledge of basic principles within USP <797> and USP<800>, laws, policies, and procedures that pertain to compounding. Performs compounding and labeling of intravenous compounds and hazardous agents to include chemotherapy using proper sterile and aseptic technique as appropriate to the site of care. Understands the different product lines in sterile compounding (patient specific and non-patient specific batch) and the differences between the various populations (Adult, Pediatric, Neonate). Completes all required environmental cleaning procedures. Documents all required tasks and other information per policy. Understands the safe handling of hazardous drugs and demonstrated the correct receipt, storage, labelling and transport process.
8. Handles narcotic medications following all federal and legal requirements as set through policy and procedure. Understands all regulatory requirements for receiving, compounding, repackaging, and distribution for controlled substances. Consistently adheres to all storage and inventory movement documentation requirements for controlled substances.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state of practice.
Incumbents in Arizona are also required to provide the AZ Board of Pharmacy Wallet Card at time of hire.
Minimum of two years pharmacy technician experience. Ability to complete moderate to difficult mathematical calculations using a hand-held calculator is required. Strong customer service focus, exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, prioritization capabilities, superior problem-solving skills, and ability to multi-task. Must have knowledge of computer software, particularly medication management information system software, Microsoft applications and automated dispensing systems. Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills for interfacing with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, and other contacts.

The Division of Rheumatology and Immunology advances Vanderbilt Health’s clinical, educational, and research missions through a highly collaborative team of approximately 34 faculty members, five advanced practice providers, dedicated administrative staff, and trainees. The division provides comprehensive rheumatology care while expanding patient access to clinical trials and disease registries focused on complex autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, supporting both exceptional patient care and translational research. Primary Responsibilities:

The Tennessee Initiative for Perinatal Quality Care (TIPQC) is the state’s perinatal quality improvement collaborative, founded in 2008 through a grant from the Governor’s Office to engage hospitals, practitioners, payers, families, and communities in order to promote meaningful change, improve health outcomes, and improve the quality of care through pregnancy, delivery and beyond for all Tennessee families.In your pivotal role as Research Data Analyst, you will be responsible for providing support for complex qualitative and quantitative research projects in health policy, public health, or related disciplines under occasional guidance. You also will utilize intermediate level research skills to perform a variety of quantitative research activities including data management, analysis of quantitative data, report preparation, and management of project budgets and schedules for proposals and projects. Your duties will be:
o Collaborate with faculty and the data team to support the creation, implementation, testing, and revision of initiative data forms and reports across the project lifecycle.
o Manage data systems and datasets, including data cleaning, monitoring data entry status across participating teams, preparing analysis-ready datasets, and coordinating with TIPQC staff and faculty.
o Gather, organize, manage, and statistically analyze data to support implementation of perinatal QI projects and monitor progress toward maternal and infant health outcome goals.

Plans and implements recruitment procedures, manages enrollment of the trial, and ensures compliance with protocols.The Rheumatology Research Nurse Specialist will ensure the integrity, quality, and compliance of multidisciplinary clinical trials under occasional guidance from the Clinical Investigators. This role is responsible for planning and implementing participant recruitment strategies, managing study enrollment, and ensuring adherence to research protocols and regulatory requirements. The Division of Rheumatology and Immunology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is strongly committed to core Medical Center and Department of Medicine missions in clinical care, education and research that benefit patients with systemic autoimmune and musculoskeletal disorders.
Supporting these missions are our faculty, which consists of leading researchers, clinicians, and educators. We offer comprehensive clinical care for those with rheumatic and autoimmune diseases.
Rheumatic diseases affect the joints, muscles, and bones. Arthritis can cause pain, swelling, stiffness, deformities, and functional impairment. Systemic autoimmune diseases can involve almost any organ system and the division has established exceptional multidisciplinary collaborations across Vanderbilt that add their expertise to our care teams. We provide multidisciplinary care for patients with systemic autoimmune diseases in specialized centers that incorporate research within the clinical setting.
The clinical activities of the division include ambulatory care at VUMC, the Nashville Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Nashville General Hospital, and clinics in Davidson and surrounding counties. We also provide comprehensive in-patient consultation services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate and cost effective imaging.
• Applies broad range of skills to ensure exam is completed timely and meets quality and compliance standards.
• Provides appropriate Diagnostic Sonography screening process to patients, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
• Radiology (Fundamental Awareness): Has limited experience, training, direct exposure, or past experience working with radiology. (Demonstrates sufficient fundamental proficiency to perform limited radiology and/or limited sonography services as directed by licensed healthcare team member)
• Anatomy & Physiology Knowledge (Fundamental Awareness): Has limited experience, training, direct exposure, or past experience working with anatomy and physiology knowledge.
• Patient Documentation (Fundamental Awareness): Has limited experience, training, direct exposure, or past experience working with patient documentation.
• Compliance (Fundamental Awareness): Demonstrates and basic knowledge of the core rules, regulations, instructions and guidelines as they apply to assignments. Knows who to go to for further explanation and support. Understands which bodies regulate the industry.
