As a Residential Support Specialist with Pittsburgh Mercy, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives. Your primary responsibility will be to create a supportive and inclusive environment, fostering the growth and well-being of residents under your care. Through compassionate care, personalized assistance, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, you will contribute to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
What You Will Do:
- Individualized Care: Provide personalized support to residents, developing and implementing care plans tailored to their unique needs and preferences.
- Daily Living Assistance: Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication administration, and other essential tasks, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.
- Behavioral Support: Implement behavioral support plans in collaboration with the team, utilizing positive reinforcement and effective communication techniques to manage challenging behaviors and promote a calm and supportive living environment.
- Community Integration: Facilitate community engagement and integration for residents by organizing and participating in recreational activities, outings, and social events, fostering a sense of belonging and connection.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with the interdisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals, therapists, and support staff, to ensure a holistic and person-centered approach to care. Communicate effectively to share insights, observations, and updates on residents' progress and challenges, contributing to a comprehensive and collaborative care environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma OR Equivalent
- Valid Driver License and ability to drive an organization vehicle
- Access to transportation travel locally
- Act 33/34/73 Clearances
- Pre-Employment Drug Screen, Physical/TB
- Must successfully pass Department of Public Welfare Medication Training within 90 days of employment

Atrium Health Ballantyne Neurology is located at 15110 John J Delaney Drive Ste 200 in Charlotte, NC, and is a leading outpatient neurology practice dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient‑centered care for children and adults with a wide range of neurological conditions. Our team utilizes advanced diagnostics, evidence‑based treatments, and a collaborative approach to care for patients with stroke, seizure disorders, multiple sclerosis, neuropathy, movement disorders, migraines, dementia, developmental neurological concerns, and other complex conditions.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and proactive nursing professional who excels at building positive relationships, mentoring and supporting clinical staff, and coordinating patient care across multiple locations. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 year of nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced outpatient environment
- Prior experience in outpatient neurology, primary care, or specialty medicine preferred
You will be supporting the Outpatient Clinical Nurse Supervisor in coordinating daily operations and promoting a high standard of patient care across three Neurology clinics. This role assists with overseeing clinical workflows for all three clinics, serves as a resource for nursing and clinical staff, supports onboarding and education, helps ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards, and collaborates with providers and leadership to optimize patient outcomes, patient experience, and operational efficiency.

Provide consultation, facilitation, and data support to performance improvement teams in order to drive improvement with quality priorities and metrics. Leads and facilitates performance improvement teams with process owners.
Provides guidance and support to team members, leaders, and providers with performance improvement activity, aligned with the organization’s methodology and tools.
Provides support to teams including literature searches, data collection, statistical data analysis and display, and benchmarking.
Assists in the development, implementation, communication, and evaluation of action plans to achieve cost-effective, high quality care.
Develops and provides interpretive performance improvement reports to highlight variations in clinical and non-clinical processes and outcomes for committees and leadership.
Designs and implements clinical studies to identify variation in medical management in order to improve patient care and outcomes.
Participates in ongoing monitoring and improvement activities to promote regulatory compliance and ISO 9001.
Supports physician and advance practice clinician peer review efforts and ongoing professional practice evaluations.
Participates in educational offerings to remain current with practice.

This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. This position is responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical records and provides a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Provides assistance in activities of daily living and completes necessary tasks to promote patient health, including assisting patients with basic hygiene needs, maintaining an optimum level of mobility and providing assistance with nutritional intake as needed.
2. Collects patient specimens and data, including vital signs, input/output and other delegated measurements in accordance with unit/facility policy and standards of care. Documents objective data and routine aspects of patient care. Assists in the transportation of patient specimens.
3. Recognizes and reports abnormalities and/or changes in the patient’s health status and responses to treatment to a licensed professional. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for which care is provided.
4. Performs procedures and uses equipment as delegated by a licensed professional, consistent with demonstrated competencies and according to state scope of practice; procedures may include blood draws, foley catheters removal, EKGs, and EKG monitoring. Provides necessary supplies, support and assistance to medical staff and patients for unit specific procedures, under the direct supervision of a licensed professional.
5. Performs receptionist/clerical duties to support overall operating efficiency and effective flow of communication and information throughout the department. Participates in the resolution of customer problems or collects necessary data and follows through to appropriate person for problem resolution.
6. Maintains a complete patient record with admission, transfer, and discharge information, progress notes, and consent forms. Ensures that all reports and chart forms are scanned or filed into the patient’s record. Ensures that charting forms are labeled and accessible if they are needed. Maintains adequate supplies of frequently used, patient education materials. Assists in the ordering of patient specimens. May transcribe and process physician orders effectively using the electronic medical record.
7. Maintains adequate levels of office, dietary, and medical supplies and completes requisition forms when supplies need to be ordered. Reconciles supply order upon delivery. Monitors and tracks the use and whereabouts of electronic equipment such as patient ID scanners and lap top computers. Ensures that all are accounted for and in working order.
8. Based on area of assignment may assist with transporting patients, including pre-operative and immediate post-operative patients to critical care unit. Participates in OR room turnover.

Program overview:
The Geisinger School of Phlebotomy’s NAACLS-accredited program includes training in all aspects of phlebotomy, as well as an introduction to the major sections within the laboratory (including chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology). This program includes classroom lectures and clinical components, including a student laboratory and a clinical rotation.
Students will be taught a variety of phlebotomy techniques to obtain blood samples from both adult and pediatric patients. They will be trained in the proper techniques to prepare specimens for testing, and they will learn about laboratory regulations, safety issues, and infection control procedures. Students will also learn the importance of accurate patient identification, along with procedures for obtaining quality lab specimens.
Upon successful completion of the program, students can immediately transfer into a Phlebotomist II role within the Geisinger system!

- Classes begin and will run for 12 weeks
- Classes are typically held from 9 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Wednesday,
- Clinicals Thursdays and Fridays up till week 7

- This enables a student to complete over 100 hours of classroom training and over 100 clinical hours at a Geisinger site.
- All students are paid an hourly rate for attending class and completing clinical rotations. There is no cost to the student to attend the School of Phlebotomy, other than the cost of obtaining scrub uniforms and necessary school supplies for class.
- This program is designed for those interested in working as phlebotomists upon graduation. It is not intended as a complement for a nursing, MD/DO, or other program that requires clinical experience hours.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be promoted into a Phlebotomist II role within the Geisinger system! This training program is valued at $3,500, but tuition is waived for students in exchange for a twenty-four-month work commitment.
Students who accept a spot in our School will be required to sign a contract with Geisinger that outlines that in exchange for the subsidized education, the student agrees to work in a paid full-time capacity for Geisinger Medical Laboratories for twenty-four months following graduation from the program.
Students should have reliable transportation to class as well as to clinic sites.

- Proficiently operates angiographic and ultrasound equipment used to perform basic to advanced procedures on inpatients and outpatients. Must perform and be proficient with all of the following procedures if performed at assigned facility or by assigned specialty at ASLMC (neuroendovascular, interventional radiology or interventional cardiology), which includes carotid stenting, cerebral intervention including embolization, coiling/stenting, angiograms and/or vertebro, kyphoplasty, chemo therapy, thera sphere embolization, adrenal and petrosal sampling, cryo and Radio Frequency (RF) ablation, and/or aortic aneurysm repair, advanced imaging applications, and complex peripheral interventions.
- Assists with interventional and surgical procedures as a scrub assistant with competent knowledge of equipment and equipment options, while working seamlessly with the attending and resident physicians. Serves as a resource to physicians on procedural equipment options.
- Monitors patients and alerts staff of life threatening changes in patient status. Applies the defibrillator and performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation when required. Provides assistance with emergency procedures, responding quickly and effectively as they occur.
- Identifies and processes images, assuring that images are of diagnostic quality. Assists clinical engineering staff in evaluating digital equipment to maintain consistent image quality.
- Compares requisitions to physician orders to ensure ordered exam accuracy.
- Post-processes images as directed and accurately identifies and labels images, identifying patient name, medical record unit (MRU) number, and location or position of scan on all images.
- Maintains records in accordance with various regulatory agencies, and enters patient and study information into the radiology information system, and documents billing codes of procedures performed to ensure accurate patient charges.

This position performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Performs radiographic procedures and analysis according to departmental guidelines. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position coordinates a smooth patient flow process by answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, providing registration of patient and insurance information, obtaining required signatures following established processes, procedures and standards. This position also verifies insurance coverage, validates referrals and authorizations, collects patient liability and provides financial guidance to patients to maximize medical services reimbursement efforts. This also includes accurately posting patients at the point of service and releasing information in accordance with organizational and compliance policies and guidelines.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Performs registration/check-in processes, including but not limited to performing data entry activities, providing patients with appropriate information and intake forms, obtaining necessary signatures and generating population health summary.
2. Verifies insurance eligibility benefits for services rendered with the payors and documents appropriately. Assists in obtaining or validating pre-certification, referrals, and authorizations
3. Calculates and collects patient liability according to verification of insurance benefits and expected reimbursement. Explains and provides financial policies and available resources for alternative payment arrangements to patients and their families.
4. Enters payments/charges for services rendered and performs daily payment/charge reconciliation in a timely and accurate manner. Balances cash drawer at the beginning and end of the day and prepares daily bank deposit with necessary paperwork sent to centralized billing for record purposes.
5. Schedules office visits and procedures within the medical practice(s) and external practices as necessary. Maximizes reimbursement by scheduling patients in accordance with payor plan provisions. Confirms patient appointments for the following day as necessary and ensures patients are properly prepared for visits.
6. Demonstrates proactive interpersonal communications skills while dealing with patient concerns through telephone calls, emails and in-person conversations. Optimizes patient flow by using effective customer service/communication skills by communicating to internal and external customers, care team, management, centralized services and HIMS.
7. Assists in responding to requests for patient medical records according to company policies and procedures, and state and federal laws.
8. Provides a variety of patient services to assist in patient flow including but not limited to escorting patients, taking vitals and patient history, assisting in patient treatment, distributing mail and fax information, ordering supplies, etc.
9. Works independently under regular supervision and follows structured work routines. Works in a fast paced, multi-task environment with high volume and immediacy needs requiring independent decision making and sound judgment to prioritize work and ensure appropriateness and timeliness of each patient’s care. This position requires the ability to retain large amounts of changing payor information/knowledge crucial to attaining reimbursement for the services provided. Primary external customers include patients and their families, physician office staff and third party payors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Requires knowledge of patient financial services, financial, collecting services or insurance industry experience processes normally acquired over one or more years of work experience. Requires the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision and to work independently.
Requires strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to effectively interact with a wide range of audiences. Strong knowledge in the use of common office software, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software are required.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position manages the day-to-day operations of an outpatient clinic or health center and takes complete ownership for the successful operations including financial, employee engagement and retention, and patient experience. Responsible for ensuring that high quality patient care and customer service is delivered in the most financially efficient way. Works in a strong dyad or triad relationship with the physician practice lead(s) and/or clinical leadership on staff, leader and provider recruitment, development and retention. Collaborates with all Banner leaders in the market and the medical group to provide seamless and integrated service to our patients. Partners with market manager to build and maintain community partnerships /relations and seeks new ways to work together that builds Banner’s market share and brand. Partners with Public Relations and Marketing to support location, provider and/or specialty promotion which includes responsiveness to requests for information from PR/Marketing; identifying and securing providers for media relations opportunities; and providing staff for events that drive exposure/outreach in the community.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Responsible for strong financial performance through ensuring proper controls and practices are followed and documented to secure the financial viability of the practice. Prepares and executes budget; monitors and approves payroll, ordering of supplies, and inventory. Also ensures accurate charge capture.
2. Provides exceptional leadership and promotes teamwork and collaboration. Creates an environment that supports high employee and physician engagement. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

POSITION SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for scheduling surgical, cardiovascular or obstetrical procedures using a computerized scheduling system. The position is also responsible for entering patient charges, orders, and other pertinent information into the system and compiling and reporting statistical information to management. The incumbent may act as an office liaison for department staff, physicians, and patient families.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Coordinates case times for elective, urgent or emergent surgeries, cardiovascular or obstetrical procedures in a computerized scheduling system. Verifies and reviews physician privilege status prior to scheduling. Interfaces with medical staff office to maintain log of current privilege status and maintains confidentially of all information. May acquire and maintain physician preference information and staff roster.
2. Acquires authorization numbers, History and Physicals, results of laboratory tests and verifies that they are current. Orders previous medical records for the day of the procedure, when necessary.
3. Types and prints physician orders for multiple physicians and departments. Schedules and maintains physician block time, and block time releases.
4. Enters physician’s orders for lab, blood bank, medical imaging, and cardiology. Enters results of diagnostic tests, patient registration information and patient charges. Compiles data and prepares statistical reports for management.
5. Conducts charge management audits for assigned area. Reconciles charge packet information with the audit. Identifies missed or incorrect charges and corrects when appropriate.
6. Acts as a receptionist to assigned unit; answers phones, relays message. Greets and directs patients, visitors, physicians, and families and answers questions about policies and procedures. Acts as a liaison among nursing units, physician and staff to relay patient data. Screens requests for patient information and refers to appropriate staff. Records and types minutes of staff meetings, when required. Prepares and distributes staff call roster each month.
7. Enters facility work orders and supply orders when required by assigned department. Requests repairs/maintenance for business machines in the department. Arranges for pickup and delivery of instruments and equipment and completes all necessary paperwork.

May perform a wide variety of advanced patient care duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and maintains the patient care and unit environment consistent with the policies, procedures, and practices. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific age range on their assigned clinical area.
- Provides enhanced patient care under the direction of the licensed nurse, which may include but is not limited to advanced dressing care, suctioning, removal of Foley Catheter and peripheral IV.
- May perform venipunctures and skin punctures to obtain blood specimens according to Clinical Laboratory Standards Institute guidelines.
- May perform daily, hands-on aspects of the storage, preparation and delivery of breast milk, infant and pediatric formulas.
- Documents in the appropriate sections to create a complete and accurate medical record.
- Identifies, observes, and documents the physical needs of the patient according to established standards. Reports any changes in patient condition to licensed personnel in a timely manner.
- Obtains and maintains the integrity of specimens in accordance with policy and procedure, according to physician order.
- Provides for or assists patients with activities of daily living and fulfills designated and delegated responsibilities for ongoing continuum of care. Includes patient hygiene and changing linens.
- Provides one to one patient safety watch as assigned following established policies and procedures.
- Accurately processes specimens and provides timely transport of the specimen to the laboratory.
- Performs point of care patient testing and point of care instrument maintenance and quality control.
- Assists in problem solving, trouble shooting and taking corrective measures in care and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Serves as a preceptor and mentor for new staff and students in a positive manner.
- Performs clerical duties for admissions, transfers, discharges, and deaths according to standards and facilitates patient throughput activities. Transcribes and processes orders according to unit standard.
- Releases and confirms ordered tests to appropriate departments.
- Coordinate's transportation of patients to multiple tests.
- Participates in obtaining and communicating electronic information as pertinent to the nursing unit. Schedules tests, faxes consult, etc.
- Assists in ordering supplies. Stationery items as well as floor stock, patient needs, individual nursing supplies.
- Communicates with food services to ensure appropriate patient diets.
- Operates, problem solves, and takes corrective measures for clerical equipment. To include scheduling maintenance of computers, fax machines, phones, etc.
- Staff have access to non-controlled medications storage and supply areas and can transport non-controlled medications as necessary to meet the needs of the clinic or unit.
- Assists with transporting non-controlled medications to and from Pharmacy and within the unit as needed.
- Assists with transporting blood products to and from Blood Bank as needed.
- Discharge follow up phone calls / coordinating virtual discharge appointment team.
- Support / Assist staff with 5 min Drills and/or Quality Rounds - participate in regulatory readiness as needed.

- Must hold an active, unrestricted, independent license in their specific mental health discipline (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist).
- Strong clinical assessment, supervision, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of serious mental illness, recovery-oriented services, psychiatric rehabilitation, crisis intervention, and community behavioral health systems.
