A senior member of the clinical trials leadership team that provides strategic direction, develops and communicates vision for the department, shares expertise across multiple discipline, creates an environment of continuous improvement by defining business needs and driving transformational change, sponsors and leads innovative projects and uses project management methodologies to position LCI for success, helps develop and lead enterprise strategy through programmatic, geographic, technical and operational assessments and planning.
Essential Functions:
Demonstrates expert knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP), International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) Guidelines, as well as applicable rules/regulations pertaining to research. Knowledge of regulatory requirements of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Institutional Review Board (IRB), and Office of Human Subjects Protections (OHRP) pertaining to clinical research.
Assists in developing the operational budget for the LCI Clinical Trials Department
Provides strategic direction and oversight for clinical trial projects which are enterprise-wide and assists with strategic planning for both the enterprise-wide growth of clinical trials and associated operations.
Performs metric analysis to ensure research workload for clinical trial operations meets the overall research team objectives.
Responsible for comprehensive Time and Effort reporting requirements to Research Finance ensuring research time is allocated appropriately.
Ensures all clinical trial operations are in compliance with ICH, GCP and FDA requirements.
Ensures appropriate documentation is maintained to meet applicable federal regulatory requirements as well as trial sponsor requirements.
Ensures the department is prepared for sponsor and governmental audits and inspections.
Provides updates to executive stakeholders on current/forecasted resource requirements, accrual status, financial performance, investigator performance, etc. through formal presentations and reports.
Develops and monitors performance reports related to the trials portfolio (includes sponsor and CRO reports, corporate financial performance, corporate HR reports, CTMS-based reports, key performance indicators, etc.).
Physical Requirements
Primarily works in an office setting.
Requires full range of body motion; sitting for extensive periods of time; walking, standing, reading, and writing/keyboarding.
Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 35 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
Must speak and read/write clearly in English.
Must be able to be mobile within the entire healthcare system and other locations that participate in LCI clinical trials.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelor's Degree required, health/science preferred with minimum of 15 years of directly-related clinical trials experience with a pharmaceutical company, Contract Research Organization (CRO), research center or equivalent required; management experience required; oncology experience required.
RN not required, however RNs must hold a current applicable state nursing license and current CPR certification.
OR Master's Degree with at least 10 years of directly-related clinical trials experience with a pharmaceutical company, Contract Research Organization (CRO), research center or equivalent required; management experience required; oncology experience required. In addition to either of the above, previous experience in a healthcare setting required, especially in a cancer and/or cancer research environment.
Certification in clinical research (SoCRA CCRP, ACRP, RAPS, or similar) preferred.

The Resource Nursing Assistant position for Charlotte's Resource Team requires floating to the facilities in one of the following zones:

$21.85 - $32.80Major Responsibilities:
Assists RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation which may include use of therapeutic assistive devices, proper positioning, range of motion and special transferring as indicated.
Measures and documents blood pressures, TPRs (Temperature, Pulse, Respiration), I & O (Intake and Output), daily weights, and other patient data as requested. Documents accurately in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Performs purposeful rounding under direction of RN and promptly communicates observations, concerns, and needs of patient/family to RN. Documents appropriately.
Participates in admission, transfer and discharge process under supervision of RN including room set up, orientation to room, removing linen, and proper management of patient belongings. Ensures patient call light is always in reach of patient and answers call-lights promptly.
Collects urine, stool, and sputum specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated using approved process for accurate specimen labeling and identification. Maintains competency as required. Completes various errands as directed including pick-up and delivery of trays, charts, specimens, and reports. Maintains and orders stock for nursing area. Cleans equipment and work areas.
Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties which require lifting and pushing/pulling while utilizing proper technique and assistive devices. Performs tasks related to nutritional needs of patient under direction of RN to include diet review, tray set up/removal, proper positioning and diet selection.
Performs tasks related to maintaining skin integrity to include proper repositioning and skin care. Ensures special patient supplies and appliances are provided and maintained such as TED hose and sequential compression devices.
Under the direction of RN and as determined by site/unit requirements, may be required to remove IVs/urinary catheters, simple wound dressing changes, cross train to tele tech, provide post mortem care, perform phlebotomy, ECGs, bladder scans and other skills as allowed under state regulations.
Practices within policies and procedures of infection prevention by demonstrating hand hygiene and knowledge of sterile and aseptic procedures, proper disposal of contaminated materials and utilizing proper attire when in direct contact with patients in isolation.
Serves as a resource and subject matter expert in a relevant area within department. Trained and competent as Preceptor. Assists with development/ evaluation of orientation materials. Regularly identifies, designs, initiates, and assists in implementing process changes to improve the department, quality and safety of the patient experience. Actively engaged and participates in at least one work team or committee at the department level. May assist with staff scheduling. Routinely participates in shared governance.
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The trauma acute care unit provides specialized nursing care to patients recovering from traumatic injuries and acute surgical conditions. The unit cares for patients with hematologic malignancies (leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, etc.) undergoing bone marrow/stem cell transplants, CAR-T Cell and other investigational therapies for these malignancies. We’re Looking For:

- Demonstrates autonomous direct cardiac rhythm management patient care for patients with CIEDs by integrating a knowledge base from physiology, pathophysiology and the basics of electronics to perform competent device interrogations, diagnostic review, and overall analysis of device function with both in-person evaluations and remote monitoring.
- Performs post-operative CIED patient assessment and teaching regarding incision care as well as cardiac device function, ICD shock plans, and remote CIED monitoring.
- Utilizes critical thinking skills in addition to electrophysiology knowledge to programs device parameters autonomously in a safe manner to optimize functionality, promote appropriate pacing, rate modulation, safety, battery longevity, and optimally support overall electrophysiological needs of the patient.
- Recognizes abnormal functions of pacemakers, defibrillators, ILRs and CRT devices through in-person evaluation and remote monitoring. Employs strategies to address and correct issues.
- Professionally communicates with Cardiac Electrophysiologists and other providers regarding CIED function, diagnostic data, and overall patient status through accurate, professional and standardized documentation.

· Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient. Refers and questions orders to the Radiologist before performing exam. Contacts ordering provider when there are discrepancies.
· Properly identify (Using two patient identifiers) and assist patients while offering a brief explanation of the procedures. Prepares patients for the procedure with a full explanation and documents on appropriate worksheets.
· Interviews patients for a complete medical history. Reviews in-patients, ER, and outpatients EMR's to obtain pertinent clinical history. Records medical history on requisitions. Correlates other test results and laboratory data with exam being performed.
· Assumes responsibility for the exam from beginning of exam until completion of dictated results.
· Prepares and administers IV contrast according to departmental protocols. On request, records contrast type and amount.
· Evaluates technical quality of images and consults with a Radiologist if needed. Recognizes abnormal anatomy and processes any additional, reconstructed images, and/or measurements as instructed.
· Performs basic patient care functions. Informs appropriate nursing personnel of any changes in the patient's condition. Initiates life support measures for patients when necessary. Assists in “code blue” procedures during medical emergencies.
· Performs CT scanning and assists Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures. Practices proper sterile technique in the preparation of necessary supplies. Performs all invasive procedures in accordance with bloodborne pathogens, isolation, and infection control policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

Performs radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of the Radiologist. Coordinates daily activities to include performing examinations and associated clerical duties.
Major Responsibilities
Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology.
Certification / License
Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. BLS required.
Work Experience
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers. Handles equipment and monitoring supplies. Must have good oral and written communication skills to interact with patients and hospital staff. May be required to frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat or kneel in operating radiographic equipment. Must be able to use hands for power gripping, speed work and precision during manipulation of radiographic equipment and in the case of injured and diseased patients. Vision and hearing for distances of up to 10 feet is necessary. May be exposed to various physical conditions throughout the workday such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and being near moving equipment. Able to adapt to changes in temperature and humidity.

Department Highlights
The GI, HPB & Transplant Oncology, Thoracic Oncology, Sterile Processing, and Float Pool teams provide comprehensive outpatient oncology and support services for patients with thoracic, gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and liver diseases. These multidisciplinary teams work collaboratively to deliver coordinated, compassionate care, including advanced diagnostic, treatment, procedural, and survivorship services.
The care team includes medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, HPB surgeons, a liver transplant surgeon, a hepatologist, advanced practice providers, nurses, nurse navigators, wound/ostomy nurses, medical assistants, dietitians, social workers, pharmacists, care and referral coordinators, sterile processing technicians, and administrative professionals.
The Sterile Processing Department supports safe, high-quality patient care through reprocessing and high-level disinfection of specialty scopes and procedural equipment. The Float Pool provides flexible clinical staffing support across multiple ambulatory oncology specialties.
Essential Functions
Continually demonstrates and supports a Professional Practice model that allows nurses to work in collaboration with interdisciplinary partners to achieve high-quality patient outcomes.
Ensures that unit operations and employees are in compliance with the Nursing Practice Act, regulatory agency standards, and policies and procedures.
Functions as a team member to accomplish goals and objectives of the unit and the organization, upholding quality management, patient care, and departmental standards.
Assumes responsibility in the recruitment and retention of qualified staff and to ensure appropriate orientation, education, credentialing and continuing professional development of personnel through mutual goal setting and performance evaluation.
Delegates effectively by promoting shared governance, developing and nurturing research to positively affect clinical outcomes.
Performs nursing care, assists with treatments, therapies, procedures, and administers medications as necessary.

Education, Experience and Certifications

Must have or complete MSN if undergraduate degree is not BSN. Enrollment in MSN program within 1 year of hire/transfer date and graduation of MSN program required within 5 years of hire. If undergraduate degree is BSN, a master's degree from a health-related program or MBA is acceptable. Previous management experience preferred. BLS required per policy guidelines. Appropriate professional certification (either clinical or leadership) is required within 1 year of eligibility for professional certification exam. Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required within the department by the nurse leader.

Job Summary
Functions as a member of the critical care transport team and is responsible for the care
of ill and injured patients transported by Med Center Air (MCA). Provides patient care
which includes respiratory system assessment, stabilization and intervention while
promoting safety and efficiency of MCA operations. Performs under the supervision of
the Medical Control Physician either by continuous radio contact or direct consultation.
Essential Functions
• Collects data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation.
• Uses clinical reasoning, coupled with clinical skills to conduct accurate clinical
assessments and perform patient care intervention to ensure optimum patient care,
safety and recovery.
• Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers.
• Utilizes appropriate resources to plan and provide services that are safe, effective,
and financially responsible.
• Participates in committees, shared governance, or other facility decision making

Physical Requirements
Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pulling and
pushing. Must weigh less than 240 pounds and maintain weight while employed with
MedCenter Air to remain on flying status. Must have intact sense of sight, hearing,
smell, and touch. Finger dexterity, good motor, and eye-hand coordination. Requires

- Serves as the key resource for Principal Investigator, physicians and research team and acts as the primary liaison with sponsors to facilitate study initiation, execution and termination.
- Ensures accurate and timely data collection, submission, and query resolution.
- Coordinates protocol-level documentation to ensure regulatory and institutional compliance and coordinates protocol activities.
- Educates patients and families about research studies, treatments, side effects and follow-up, as appropriate.

6. Notifies appropriate medical staff if there are significant abnormal findings.
7. Documents procedure performed within patient chart to inform the physician that the test has been completed.
8. Calculates and measures vascular structures from procedure data in order to aid the physician in interpreting results and achieving a diagnosis.
9. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the equipment, procedure rooms and work areas of the Vascular Laboratories.
10. Completes accurate documentation through EPIC to ensure proper billing.
11. Participates in education and in-service opportunities in order to maintain and enhance knowledge.
12. Provides preliminary report on study performed in a timely manner. Reviews preliminary report with physician.
13. Follows and implement Vascular protocols and policies.
14. Participates in the training of vascular ultrasound techniques and procedures.
