$33.05 - $49.60Essential Functions
· Supervises day to day Mobile Medicine Paramedic operations.
· Assists with API scheduling for all shifts, including on-call shifts and after hours.
· Assists with compiling and maintaining all statistics.
· Performs research on ways to promote advances in the field.
· Maintains employee variances, education forms, and payroll.
· Assists with periodic monitoring of the clinical competency of Paramedics. Identifies areas of opportunity and report them to the Manager.
· Assists with the orientation of new Paramedics.
· Assists with scheduling patient's via referral portal.
· Maintains good working relationships with all customers.
· Reviews patient charts monthly with Medical Directors
· Assists with collecting data, patient charts, and demographics.
Physical Requirements
Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred. Previous supervisor/management experience in healthcare setting, emergency management, or administration preferred. Valid driver's license required. Must be able to drive vehicles safely in all types of weather. Knowledge of healthcare, EMS systems, and other regulating organizations including but not limited to local, state, and federal regulations required. Maintains required certifications to include ACLS, PALS, BLS, as directed by the Medical Director.
Valid driver's license required, and individual must have at time of hire and maintain for duration of employment a motor vehicle operator record acceptable to Advocate Health's insurance carrier/underwriter.

- Strategic Planning and Leadership: Participating in strategic planning for the medical center and assisting in matters related to the Medical Staff and Clinical Care Delivery Systems. This involves representing Medical Staff interests to Management and serving as a liaison between the two.
- Medical Staff Coordination and Support: Coordinating and providing staffing for Medical Staff committee activities, serving as a resource, and providing appropriate leadership and guidance. This includes collaborating closely with the Medical Staff President, other elected Medical Staff officers, department, and committee chairperson.
- Value-Based Care: Championing value-based care by participating in the development and execution of value-based care strategies, monitoring and influencing risk contract performance, and fostering an environment conducive to value-based care.
- Physician Recruitment and Development: Overseeing physician productivity and practice efficiency, guiding the implementation of enhancements, and ensuring the efficacy of the local physician recruitment process.
- Administrative Functions: Coordinating administrative functions for medical staff, including employment agreements, regulatory compliance, care management initiatives, physician performance reviews, peer review, privileging, and credentialing.
- Performance Improvement and Quality Management Directing a medical center-wide Performance Improvement Program, establishing standards of performance, monitoring mechanisms, and outcomes tracking for appropriate medical center departments and the Medical Staff. This also involves guiding and directing the activities of the medical center's Performance Improvement Teams.
- Capacity Management: Providing leadership for capacity management initiatives to improve patient flow and support optimal patient care.
- Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and managing risk through quality improvement and infection control plans.
- Human Resources Management: Responsibilities related to human resources, including interviewing, selecting new employees, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
- Community and Physician Relationships: Developing relationships with medical centers and community physicians to support strategic initiatives and fostering a close, mutually beneficial relationship between the Medical Staff and the medical center.
- Budget Management: Developing and recommending operating and capital budgets and controlling expenditures within approved budget objectives

ICU: Intensive Care Unit
This is a mixed Critical Care (ICU) 15 bed and Step down (IMCU) 5 bed unit.
The unit has 15 private rooms with Phillips monitoring and state of the art Hil Rom technology with low air loss, continual lateral rotation, and percussion capabilities. We serve a broad range of patient conditions and provide services for neurology, cardiology, gastroenterology, oncology, nephrology, and surgical patients. We also have a phenomenal palliative care team that helps guide our nurses with that special touch at end of life. We have critical care NP/PA on sight 24/7 and have daily interdisciplinary rounds where the nurses provide valuable input and add insight to their patient’s care. Registered nurses can expect a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio depending on patient needs and a 12-hour shift schedule with rotating weekends.
Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is a primary plus stroke center. We provide care based on the American Stroke Association (ASA) treatment guidelines for the early management of adults with ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke. At 247 beds, LCH is the largest children’s hospital between Atlanta and Washington DC. - May make calls to potential participants and their families, to determine interest in participating in clinical research, assess eligibility based on protocols.
- Serve as informal spokesperson for research, prevention studies, and vaccines and vaccine trials.
- Gather information about AE’s, SAE’s and draft and submit reports, in conjunction with PI and investigator team.
- Complete Source documents, EDC, and resolution of appropriate queries in conjunction with the study team
- Review safety information for SUSARs, and sponsor reports.
- Support development and education of research team as needed for SOP’s, GCP, clinical trials protocols, study procedures.
- Develop presentations related to research projects for use with clinics, investigators, or professional organizations.
- Participate in Research project development, grant submission activities, protocol development, and IRB submissions with investigator and research teams, and participate in academic activity such as abstract and manuscript writing and submission.
- Work with research teams and data scientists to develop skills with REDCap, Slicer Dicer, EPIC reporting, and other electronic data systems in support of specific research projects.
- Locations that will be sites for research could include Matthews STRIVE research, Edgehill STRIVE research, Myers Park Pediatrics clinic, Kannapolis Healthy Futures, South Park Endocrinology, Medical Center Plaza/Specialty clinics.

Education, Experience and Certifications
Must have or be eligible for a DEA license. Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state one works. Eligible for prescriptive authority application through the Board of Nursing or Medical Board in NC required. BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required with expiration date greater than 90 days from date of beginning practice. Demonstrates appropriate critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize and make proactive decisions. Current PALS and ATLS preferred. Research experience a plus.
Nurse Practitioner: Master's Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. License to practice as a Registered Nurse required. Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required.
Physician Assistant: Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required, master's degree preferred. Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.

During each six-week scheduling period, staff are required to work either on every other weekend or on every third weekend.
