Pay Range:
$19.80 - $29.70Essential Functions
- Observes, reports, and documents signs and symptoms or changes in patient behavior to charge nurse.
- Interacts with patients therapeutically.
- Assists, initiates, and participates in social and recreational activities, group therapy, patient teaching groups, and other group activities.
- Uses CPI techniques appropriately.
- Makes rounds on assigned patients at least every half hour during shift.
- Demonstrates flexibility in changing workload.
- Responds to patients with empathy, maintaining their dignity and confidentiality.
- Participates in unit-based process improvement activities.
- Participates in unit-based committees.
- May include on-call duties as requested by administration.
- All mandatory training as per facility policy.
Physical Requirements
Works in patient care area with potentially combative or self-destructive patients, including behavior control areas. Each employee has the responsibility to work in a safe manner. Work requires walking, standing, lifting, reaching, handling of charts, supplies, equipment, blood, and body fluids.
Education, Experience and Certifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Relevant patient care experience in a hospital setting preferred. Good therapeutic communication skills required. CPI certification required within 90 days of hire date. BLS required per policy guidelines.

We're seeking a Culture & Teammate Experience Program Enablement Manager to lead the interpretation and translation of enterprise listening data into actionable insights that inform strategy, enhance organizational effectiveness, and elevate the teammate experience across Advocate Health.
In this highly collaborative role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and stakeholders across the organization, transforming complex feedback and experience data into compelling narratives that guide decision-making and help shape the future of our culture.
About This Opportunity
The Culture & Teammate Experience Program Enablement Manager plays a critical role in advancing Advocate Health's teammate listening strategy. This position leads the synthesis and interpretation of enterprise survey data, focus group feedback, and other listening channels to identify key themes, opportunities, and risks impacting the teammate experience.
Working closely with HR Centers of Excellence, Operations, Nursing, Learning & Development, Benefits, and executive leadership, you'll develop meaningful insights that inform enterprise priorities while establishing consistent approaches to data interpretation, storytelling, and reporting.
You'll combine analytical expertise, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills to help leaders understand what teammates are experiencing and where the organization can create the greatest impact.
What You'll Do
- Lead analysis of enterprise listening data across surveys, focus groups, and other feedback channels to identify trends, themes, opportunities, and risks.
- Integrate quantitative and qualitative data into actionable enterprise-level insights and recommendations.
- Develop executive-ready presentations, reports, dashboards, and visual storytelling materials that communicate complex findings with clarity and impact.
- Create and maintain frameworks, standards, and methodologies for interpreting and communicating teammate experience data consistently across the enterprise.
- Partner with HR, Operations, Nursing, Benefits, Learning & Development, and other stakeholders to provide insight-driven guidance and consultation.
- Synthesize internal findings with external research, benchmarking, and industry trends to inform culture and teammate experience strategies.
- Ensure consistency in how survey results and experience data are communicated across the organization.
- Continuously improve insight generation, reporting practices, and storytelling approaches to maximize organizational impact.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders by translating data into meaningful guidance that supports strategic decision-making.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Analytics, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Five or more years of experience in employee experience, analytics, consulting, organizational effectiveness, program management, or related disciplines.
- Strong understanding of employee experience frameworks, engagement drivers, organizational culture, and listening strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex qualitative and quantitative data into actionable business insights.
- Advanced presentation, storytelling, and data visualization skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of data integrity and ethics.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Preferred
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Analytics, Business, or a related field.
- Experience with enterprise listening platforms such as Perceptyx, Qualtrics, or similar survey technologies.
- Experience presenting findings and recommendations to executive leadership teams and governance committees.
- Experience synthesizing large-scale employee listening and survey data.
- Strong proficiency with dashboarding, reporting, and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with external benchmarking methodologies and workforce research.
- Experience in healthcare, clinical operations, or other large, matrixed organizations.

$25.30 - $37.95Join the Critical Care Rehabilitation team at Carolinas Medical Center, a nationally recognized tertiary care and Level I Trauma Center serving patients with complex medical and surgical conditions. This interdisciplinary team provides early mobility and rehabilitation services across intensive care units, working collaboratively with physicians, nursing, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and respiratory therapists to optimize patient recovery and functional outcomes. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will support critically ill patients through mobility progression, exercise interventions, patient education, and collaborative care planning, helping patients regain strength, endurance, and independence throughout their inpatient recovery journey.
Job Description:
Responsible for the evaluation and treatment of cardiac patients through all phases of rehabilitation, (which includes inpatient and outpatient) upon the referral of the physician.
Major Responsibilities:
- Interprets physiological data from stress tests for determination of individualized exercise prescription. Plans and implements treatment programs based upon patient evaluation. Modifies exercise prescription based on cardiac symptomatology, signs and symptoms of exercise intolerance, or musculoskeletal, orthopedic, and/or accessory medical problems.
- Works with physicians to determine program eligibility, progress, and timing of progression to unmonitored home program or Phase III participation.
- Establishes and presents a coordinated health education program for patients on exercise and risk factor reduction. Participates in family and patient conferences as necessary and works closely with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, physician assistants, and medical staff regarding patient physical status and rehabilitation program.
- Promotes referral to rehabilitation program by developing a sound working relationship with referral sources - physicians and nurses.
- Places electrodes on patient for various cardiac monitors and tests.
- Counsels patient in home activity and exercise programs and purchase of exercise equipment.
- Assists in the resolution of cardiac emergencies or symptoms of exercise intolerance. Assists the in-program planning and implementation.
- May serve as a mentor for staff working for certification by American College of Sports Medicine in Exercise Technologist or Specialist category. Serves as a hospital consultant in area of exercise physiology. Participates in appropriate professional organizations for personal development.
- Assists in monitoring outpatient cardiac rehabilitation exercise groups.
- Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, or
- Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology.
Experience Required:
- No experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Must be able to make independent decisions and be able to deal with complex clinical situations as presented by many cardiac patients.
- Good communication skills and effective team functioning is required.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach above shoulders at various times in each workday.
- Must be able to:
- lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist.
- lift up to 10 lbs. from waist to overhead.
- lift and carry up to 40 lbs. at waist height a reasonable distance.
- Must be able to:
- push/pull with 30 lbs. of force.
- perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.

- Potential for exposure to mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards and therefore must be able to take precautions and wear protective clothing as necessary.

Patient Accounts Specialist (PAS) works under the immediate supervision of supervisors/managers in Patient Financial Services (PFS). - Prepares Medicare/Medicaid quarterly credit balance reports. Approve refunds as defined in departmental threshold guidelines.

- Performs quality assurance tasks as needed to validate workflow builds, claim edit actions, automatic actions in Epic, process improvements, etc.
- Analyzes denial reasons provided by payers. Collaborates with management to identify, trend and address root causes of denials.

Job Description Summary:
Provides operational leadership and oversight for enterprise clinical research financial operations supporting industry-sponsored clinical research across Advocate Health and Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Responsible for directing pre-award and post-award research finance activities, supervising research finance personnel, ensuring compliance with research billing regulations, monitoring operational performance, implementing process improvements, and collaborating across stakeholders to accelerate study activation, optimize sponsor reimbursement, and support the financial sustainability of the clinical research enterprise.
Major Responsibilities:
- Provides operational leadership and oversight for enterprise clinical research financial operations supporting industry-sponsored clinical research across the clinical research lifecycle.
- Designs and directs the work of the clinical research finance team, including selection, coaching, development, performance management, and workload allocation for research finance professionals and financial analysts.
- Oversees pre-award financial activities including coverage analysis, research billing calendars, budget development and negotiation, financial feasibility assessments, and financial system builds necessary for study activation.
- Oversees post-award financial activities including sponsor invoicing, payment reconciliation, accounts receivable management, collections, financial reporting, and study closeout processes.
- Monitors operational metrics, budget negotiation performance, study activation timelines, invoicing activities, collections, workload distribution, and service level performance to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Implements standardized financial processes, workflows, policies, and best practices that improve operational efficiency, billing compliance, sponsor reimbursement, customer service, and financial controls.
- Collaborates with contracting, compliance, revenue cycle, regulatory, information technology, investigators, sponsors, and study teams to coordinate financial activities that support timely study activation and successful study execution.
- Serves as the escalation point for complex financial, operational, and compliance issues related to industry-sponsored clinical research and provides guidance on resolution strategies.
- Supports implementation, optimization, and utilization of research administration and financial systems including OnCore, Epic, Huron, ClinCard, and related technologies supporting research operations.
- Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and ensuring that research financial activities and supervised employees comply with organizational policies, applicable regulations, and governing laws.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Research Administration, or related field.
Work Experience Required:

$21.85 - $32.80Major Responsibilities:- Acquires and maintains current knowledge of all payor requirements as it relates to patient/hospital responsibility for authorizations and hospital billing, including all Federal and State regulations. Performs all insurance authorization of inpatient and outpatient services, by accurately collecting and analyzing clinical data in support of payor guidelines and submits accordingly. Uses resources to determine appropriate procedure codes for authorization to ensure appropriate reimbursement.
- Consults with patient and appropriate departments for uninsured status, uncovered services, out of network status and situations where the only insurance is Third Party Liability or Workers Compensation and provides next steps. Initiates communication to the patient when authorization is not obtained and explains the potential financial responsibility.
- Maintains knowledge of all stand-alone computer software programs to verify eligibility and authorization.

Works as a team member of Special Events Emergency Team to deliver optimal patient care in the prehospital setting at customer venues. Provides assessment and appropriate interventions according to North Carolina OEMS guidelines and established hospital policy. Must be thoroughly familiar and able to perform interventions at level of training with all equipment and supplies at all prehospital workstations, including ambulance unit.
Essential Functions
- Provides direct patient care at the Emergency Medical Technician Defibrillation level according to the special events protocols, as well as NC OEMS guidelines.
- Functions as a support role to the paramedic or nurse during transport of patients from venue sites. Assist with packaging, loading, and providing care to the patient at the EMT-D level as directed.
- Drives the vehicles according to special events policy as well as state and local law. Ensure the safety of all passengers at all times.
- Ensures that the entire vehicle is cleaned and restocked after each event and/or patient transport.
- Reports any safety hazards to the lead paramedic or Assistant Director. If using a MCA ambulance, report any safety hazards to the MCA charge person as soon as possible.
- Documents patient condition and all treatment provided while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Maintains necessary certifications, skills, required continuing education, and mandatory in services.
Physical Requirements
Must have good physical stamina, endurance and body which would not be adversely affected by having to lift, carry, and balance at times in excess of 125 pounds (250 pounds with assistance). Motor coordination is necessary because of uneven terrain. Both the patient's and the team member's well being must not be jeopardized. Hearing must be in normal range as well as near visual acuity to be able to take accurate vital signs and to detect any deterioration in the patients condition. Normal eye-hand coordination and finger dexterity to give injections, medications and intravenous therapy. Must have good oral communication skills to take patient history, give instruction and communicate with physician about patient care.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Current NC EMT certification required. BCLS required. Current Drivers License required. National EMT registry preferred. 1 to 2 years experience with a 911 service as an EMT required.

The Athletic Trainer provides patient education regarding injury prevention, anatomy, body mechanics, and rehabilitation. The primary mission of the Athletic Trainer is to progress athletes through rehabilitation protocols and return them functionally to a state comparable to pre-injury.
The qualified candidate will possess the following:

The Integrated Enhanced Recovery (ERAS) GI Center of Excellence is composed of a team of physicians, fellows, nurse practitioners and nurses who provide specialized care to patients with diseases of the liver, biliary tract, pancreas and GI tract as well as surgical trauma care. As an academic center of excellence in ERAS, opportunities exist to collaborate with institutions nationally and internationally to improve patient outcomes. The nursing department is a specialized unit caring for patients with varying levels of acuity from progressive care, telemetry, and medical surgical status. Since these patients will be cared for throughout the entirety of their hospital stay on one-unit, individualized care is integrated into daily work. Progressive care unit experience not required. 11T will be a beacon for clinical advancement and career growth in the field of nursing.
Enhanced Recovery after Surgery (ERAS) is a research-based intensive approach to improving patient outcomes by integrating pathways and guidelines with patient care. Driving compliance, research, quality and publication, this method engages the entire team to align work tailored to improve the patient’s outcome, operational excellence of the organization and experience of the team. Patient education is a cornerstone to this method of care. 11T is the country’s first ERAs certified unit.
We’re Looking For:

The unit cares for patients with hematologic malignancies (leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, etc.) undergoing bone marrow/stem cell transplants, CAR-T Cell and other investigational therapies for these malignancies.
