What you will do:
Under immediate and direct supervision of the Lead Security Officer.
- performs all security and safety rounds as assigned.
- Insures that offices and suites are secured.
- Responds to calls for service in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Reports all suspicious activity to the Lead Security Officer or the designee on duty.
- Identifies hazards and threats to the safety and security of the campus and its occupants and then initiates the appropriate corrective measures or immediately alerts his supervisor regarding the deficiency.
Investigations/Property:
- Completes written reports of all reported incidents as assigned.
- Prepares property reports for patient valuables and secures said valuables in the department safe.
- Uses the departments digital camera to photograph areas where security incidents have been reported.
-Pick up hours as the need arises, at our Acute care facilities, other than primary work location.
What you will need:
- NYS Security License
- Current Training Certificate.
- Valid NYS Driver's License
- Basic computer skills, good oral, interpersonal skills and written communications which will allow you to document investigative activities.
- One year minimum Security or Law enforcement experience
Pay Range:$20.20 - $28.00
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

$24.10 - $36.15Primary Purpose The paramedic collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to provide care as appropriate to the population served and in compliance with standards of practice. The paramedic will provide care to patients under the supervision of the Provider. The Medical Director will provide oversight for Paramedic clinical practice. Major Responsibilities• Provides patient care in accordance with policies and state regulations as approved by the Medical Director.
• Administers medications safely according to policy, and as permitted by facility guidelines under the supervision of the Provider.
• Collects and communicates data, reads monitors, etc., and responds with correct intervention to ensure optimum patient care and safety.
• Provides evaluation of patients and communicates to the care team the patient's required needs/care per guidelines.
• Executes skills as approved by NC-OEMS and the Medical Director.
• Transports patients between designated areas.
• Performs and maintains competency for Point-of-Care testing as assigned, waived and non-waived, ensuring compliance with Advocate Health policies and with applicable state and federal regulations.
Minimum Job Requirements Education Successful completion of a Paramedic Training Program (OEMS approved) required. Completion of CPI course required within 30 days of hire. Certification / License Current North Carolina Paramedic Certification required (National registry preferred). Certification in BLS required on hire. Certification in ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire. Affiliation with an EMS agency is required to maintain National Registry Paramedic certification. North Carolina state certified paramedics will follow state mandated education requirements for initial and ongoing certification which do not require EMS agency affiliation. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak English in good, understandable terms. Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, and touch. Finger dexterity. Critical thinking and ability to concentrate. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions. Performs manual and/or automated decontamination of instruments.
Inspects instruments to ensure cleanliness and proper functionality.
Assembles instruments into containers according to count sheets.
Packages instruments according to manufacturer's instructions.
Performs sterilization and verifies adequacy of the sterilization process.
Maintains documentation of sterilization processes.
Stores sterile containers in identified location.
Assembles case carts according to the picklist and deliver to the OR.
Participates in the department's weekday surge plan and weekend call.

4. Enters payments/charges for services rendered and performs daily payment/charge reconciliation in a timely and accurate manner. Balances cash drawer at the beginning and end of the day and prepares daily bank deposit with necessary paperwork sent to centralized billing for record purposes.
5. Schedules office visits and procedures within the medical practice(s) and external practices as necessary. Maximizes reimbursement by scheduling patients in accordance with payor plan provisions. Confirms patient appointments for the following day as necessary and ensures patients are properly prepared for visits.
6. Demonstrates proactive interpersonal communications skills while dealing with patient concerns through telephone calls, emails and in-person conversations. Optimizes patient flow by using effective customer service/communication skills by communicating to internal and external customers, care team, management, centralized services and HIMS.
7. Assists in responding to requests for patient medical records according to company policies and procedures, and state and federal laws.
8. Provides a variety of patient services to assist in patient flow including but not limited to escorting patients, taking vitals and patient history, assisting in patient treatment, distributing mail and fax information, ordering supplies, etc.
9. Works independently under regular supervision and follows structured work routines. Works in a fast paced, multi-task environment with high volume and immediacy needs requiring independent decision making and sound judgment to prioritize work and ensure appropriateness and timeliness of each patient’s care. Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including medical history and virtual physical exams
Diagnose and manage acute medical conditions within urgent care scope
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
Prescribe medications in compliance with state and organizational guidelines
Order and interpret laboratory studies as appropriate
Document all patient encounters accurately and efficiently in Epic
Provide patient education, discharge instructions, and follow-up guidance
Escalate care appropriately to in-person or emergency settings
Participate in team collaboration and quality improvement initiatives

Part Time DAY RN MICA - Samaritan Hospital
Our Behavioral Health Unit provides you the opportunity to work with mental health patients. We serve persons who are experiencing a severe psychiatric crisis and in need of an inpatient setting for safety, care and treatment to stabilize the immediate crisis. Treatment is individualized and quality care is provided that best suits the needs of our patients. There is an emphasis on maintaining safety, medication stabilization and the development of individualized coping skills in response to the crisis.
You will support your main unit, but be cross-trained in all four units. Varying shifts available in the following units:
Adult Psych Unit - We are a 26 bed Inpatient Adult Psych unit caring for the stabilization of acute symptoms of the psychiatrically impaired population. During the course of admission, we address acute psychiatric intervention and facilitate discharge planning to facilitate safe transitions to the next level of care or return to the community. The patients we serve frequently have comorbid medical and/or substance use illnesses. We are supported by an interdisciplinary team comprised of psychiatrists, NPP, clinicians, nurses and patient care technicians. We also work collaboratively with a covering Medical Group and all specialties are available to us by consult.
Senior/Geriatric Psych Unit – This is a 20 bed unit. This unit addresses the medical and psychiatric needs of aging patients experiencing mental health and substance abuse problems. The unit is not designed to treat a primary diagnosis of dementia. Treatment of mental health issues in seniors requires careful attention to co-existing medical illnesses that are common to this population. Treatment and discharge planning focuses on helping patients remain in the most independent living environment possible after discharge. Patients admitted to this unit are typically 55 years of age or older, although patients under 55 may be admitted if they are in need of acute psychiatric treatment and have medical complications that may prohibit them from being admitted to the Adult Mental Health Unit or MICA Unit.
MICA (Mentally Ill/Chemically Addicted) - This unit is a 14 bed unit. Drug addiction rehab program to help people suffering from both mental illness and substance abuse. Treating the two disorders as well as their interaction. The needs of the mentally ill/chemically addicted (MICA) client are unique. Our specialized MICA services, designed specifically for the dually diagnosed individual, are flexible to accommodate individuals with varying functional levels.
CRISIS ER - Crisis is a 6 bed, locked unit within the emergency department. Patients are evaluated during a mental health crisis for safety to determine whether or not they require admission to one of our inpatient Behavioral Health units or can be safely discharged back into the community with outpatient support. Patients are referred to Crisis through the main emergency department or brought directly to Crisis via police or ambulance. We serve patients through adolescence to geriatrics.
