Position Highlights
The Heart & Vascular Unit (7HVU) is a 49 private bed unit. It is considered a specialty medical/surgical unit that is fast paced and will provide growth in professional knowledge and expertise in the care delivery of our cardiovascular patients. The staff will care for specialty patients such as stable heart and lung transplants and Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs). The Cardiac Vascular Unit is a sister unit to the Cardiac Care Unit.
All staff nurses will attend a Cardiology Fellowship Program to enhance their skill set and prepare them to become Cardiovascular Nurse Experts

Shift Details: WEEKENDER PROGRAM
- Days or Nights 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7 am on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays
- Block scheduling with every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday off

Provide and coordinate delivery of clinical resources to assure safe, high quality patient care and ensure continuity of care. Perform duties in an environment of care where the needs of a patient are short term, non-acute, and non-life threatening.
Required Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills required.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility required.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) department dependent required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Based on position, prior experience in patient nursing, specialty/primary care clinic and/or telephonics preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel preferred.
• Proficient with use of email applications preferred.
• Experience with EPIC or other electronic medical records preferred.
• Specific to the Medical Call Center department; multi-state license preferred.

Help expand access to specialized maternal care across Nebraska.
Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Digital Experience Program Lead – OB EMBRACE to help advance innovative virtual care solutions designed to improve access and outcomes for mothers across Nebraska. This grant-funded role will provide program leadership for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) teleconsults and the continued development and expansion of the STAMPP Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) program within the EMBRACE program. This is an opportunity to help scale virtual care beyond Nebraska Medical Center and bring specialized maternal health services closer to patients throughout the state.
As a Digital Experience Program Lead, you’ll bring together clinical, operational, technology, and external partners to translate strategic priorities into successful, sustainable Digital Health programs. You’ll lead planning and execution, coordinate cross-functional teams, remove barriers, manage partner relationships, and ensure solutions align with clinical workflows, regulatory requirements, reimbursement models, technology standards, and program goals. Your leadership will help expand access to specialized maternal-fetal medicine and postpartum hypertension services while supporting efforts to improve maternal health outcomes.

The Digital Experience Program Lead - OB EMBRACE will serve as a delivery leader responsible for planning, execution, and oversight of Digital Health programs across the clinical enterprise. As a subject matter expert in Digital Health and more specifically telehealth, the Digital Health Program Lead guides prioritization, coordinate cross-functionality delivery, removes organization and delivery barriers, and ensure initiatives align with the organization's strategic objectives, reimbursement models, funding sources, and Digital Health technology standards. This role influences outcomes across teams by providing structure, transparency, and leadership to ensure successful delivery of initiatives that advance the organization's aspirations to extend it's clinical and business services virtually across the state of Nebraska and region in alignment with organizational priorities. Owns the end‑to‑end demand and relationship lifecycle for assigned programs and partner sites, translating strategic priorities into actionable digital health initiatives. Emphasizes customer success, operational excellence, regulatory awareness, and value realization across Epic Community Connect, affiliate outreach sites, digital health platforms, and associated workflows. Ensures digital experience solutions are scalable, compliant, sustainable, and aligned with enterprise standards while advancing innovation, access, and experience outcomes.
Required Qualifications: Digital Experience Program Lead - OB EMBRACE
- Minimum of five years progressive experience in healthcare IT, digital health, program management, or related roles required.
- Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Health Informatics, Nursing Informatics, Communications, Information Systems, or a related field required.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross functional initiatives and managing complex stakeholder relationships required.
- Experience with enterprise clinical or business systems and customer facing programs required.
Preferred Qualifications: Digital Experience Program Lead - OB EMBRACE
- Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Digital Experience platforms including Epic, including Community Connect or clinical or revenue cycle modules preferred.
- Understanding of digital health, telehealth, and virtual care regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, CMS, and federal and state based regulations preferred.
- Understanding of healthcare billing, reimbursement, and financial considerations related to digital health and telehealth services preferred.
- Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, BRMP/CBRM, or HIMSS CPHIMS/CAHIMS preferred.

This person in this position provides a safe patient experience from the moment they walk into a ProMedica facility. From fathering data from the patient to documenting the reasons for the visit and obtaining vitals, the medial assistant strives for clinical excellence.
Communication is key in this role. You will communicate with patients, peers and all members of the health care team. You will show your clinical knowledge outside patient rooms as well when answering patient phone calls and relaying messages for providers or nurses.

- Provides direct therapy services to patients admitted to a level of care where service provision is required 7 days a week, including holidays.

- Documents evaluations, tests, progress notes, daily treatment notes, attendance records, patient/family education, outcomes, discharge notes, and charges as needed.
- Communicates patient's evaluation and subsequent progress to physician, referral sources, and other clinical staff, coordinates patient's schedule and treatment programs, and discharge planning.
- Provides supervision of PTA's, COTA's and Rehab Tech/Aide as required for licensure.
Physical Requirements
Hearing (corrected) adequate for oral/aural communication. Vision (corrected) adequate for reading. Intelligible speech and adequate language/cognitive skills to perform job duties. Sitting, standing, and walking required throughout the day. Job duties sometimes require climbing stairs, kneeling, twisting, bending; on occasion, crouching, crawling and reaching overhead. Lifting of patients, equipment or supplies will be required up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally. Able to laterally transfer patients 100 pounds rarely. Must be able to demonstrate any appropriate exercise and activities to patients/caregivers. Personal Protective Equipment such as gloves, goggles, gowns, and masks are sometimes required due to possible exposure to hazardous chemicals or blood and body fluids. Work is in a fast-paced clinical environment. The work environment is primarily indoors but occasionally outdoors.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy or Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology required. applicable state license for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology required. Possess and maintain Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required.

This internship is an entry pathway into a Nebraska Medicine Non-Invasive Cardiology Technologist role. It is a paid, on-the-job training opportunity that does not result in certification, but provides structured education and hands-on experience in non-invasive cardiology.
As an Intern, you will perform inpatient and outpatient EKGs, apply and educate patients on cardiac monitoring devices, process returned monitors, and support cardiac diagnostic workflows across both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Training includes progressive learning in telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation through self-study, mentorship, and required testing, culminating in the Non-Invasive Cardiology Technologist entrance exam. Successful interns advance into the Non-Invasive Cardio Tech role.
As a Non-Invasive Cardiology Technologist, the primary focus is computer-based cardiac rhythm monitoring and data analysis, with 10-20% direct patient interaction for EKGs and monitor placement. Monitoring shifts require sustained attention while reviewing repetitive rhythms and quickly identifying and reporting abnormal or urgent changes. The role also includes dedicated EKG shifts, offering a more active, patient-facing component typically once a week.
We are seeking candidates interested in a long-term opportunity in Non-Invasive Cardiology who are comfortable working in a highly structured, detail-oriented monitoring environment. Priority consideration will be given to candidates who demonstrate sustained commitment through work, college enrollment, military service, or other comparable long-term responsibilities. - Measures and documents blood pressures, TPRs (Temperature, Pulse, Respiration), I & O (Intake and Output), daily weights, and other patient data as requested. Documents accurately in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Performs purposeful rounding under direction of RN and promptly communicates observations, concerns, and needs of patient/family to RN. Documents appropriately.
- Participates in admission, transfer and discharge process under supervision of RN including room set up, orientation to room, removing linen, and proper management of patient belongings. Ensures patient call light is always in reach of patient and answers call-lights promptly.
- Collects urine, stool, and sputum specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated using approved process for accurate specimen labeling and identification. Maintains competency as required.
- Completes various errands as directed including pick-up and delivery of trays, charts, specimens, and reports. Maintains and orders stock for nursing area. Cleans equipment and work areas.
- Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties which require lifting and pushing/pulling while utilizing proper technique and assistive devices. Performs tasks related to nutritional needs of patient under direction of RN to include diet review, tray set up/removal, proper positioning and diet selection.
- Performs tasks related to maintaining skin integrity to include proper repositioning and skin care. Ensures special patient supplies and appliances are provided and maintained such as TED hose and sequential compression devices.
- Under the direction of RN and as determined by site/unit requirements, may be required to remove IVs, provide post mortem care, perform phlebotomy, ECGs, bladder scans and other skills as allowed under state regulations.
- Practices within policies and procedures of infection prevention by demonstrating hand hygiene and knowledge of sterile and aseptic procedures, proper disposal of contaminated materials and utilizing proper attire when in direct contact with patients in isolation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following functions:
1. Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas to include, but not limited to:
• Dusting and sanitizing furniture, equipment, mirrors and fixtures
• Washing windows, walls, ceilings, vents and light fixtures
• Sweeping, scrubbing and refinishing floors
• Vacuuming and shampooing carpet
• Re-stocking restrooms
• Replacing light bulbs
• Reporting repairs
Most of the work is indoors but may assist with outdoor cleaning including parking lot, windows, and roof. Various cleaning activities may include the use of a ladder.
2. Heavy contact with cleaning chemicals, disinfecting agents, floor strippers and finishes.
3. Removes waste by:
• Collecting and transporting soiled linen
• Emptying trash containers
• Changing sharps containers
• Transporting solid and hazardous waste to compactors
• Recycling material
• Emptying cigarette receptacles in smoking areas
4. Keeps equipment clean and orderly and reports equipment failures or other mechanical issues to maintenance staff.
5. Maintains safe working environment and provides quality service by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, infection control guidelines, and meeting departmental quality standards.
6. Attends all required in-service education and training classes including safety update programs to maintain technical knowledge.
7. Consistently demonstrates the ability to meet time schedules and deadlines.
Qualified Candidates:
• Preferred: High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Preferred: One year experience
• Can prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner
• Can operate equipment
• Can establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers
Work Environment:
• Performs repetitive work according to set procedures
• Stressful, fast paced
• Works in contaminated, isolation, construction and renovation areas
• Occasionally works in extreme temperatures and around unpleasant smells
• Exposure to individuals with various degrees of mental, physical conditions and illnesses
