Shift:
First Shift (United States of America)Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Trauma Data Specialist to join the Trauma Program team. We are a level one adult and level 2 pediatric trauma center, verified by the American College of Surgeons. The Trauma Data Specialist is responsible for clinical data abstraction and coding for our trauma database.
We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, has strong time management skills, and possesses a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology.

Duties: Trauma Data Specialist
Supports our Trauma Program by accurately abstracting, coding, and reporting trauma data in compliance with state, national, and American College of Surgeons standards. Key responsibilities include: analyze medical records, code clinical and follow-up data using AIS, ICD-10, and registry guidelines with 95% accuracy, participate in quality assurance activities and maintain compliance with ACS verification standards, and ensure timely chart closure within 60 days of discharge to meet productivity benchmarks.
Required Qualifications: Trauma Data Specialist
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a health-related field involving data collection, analysis, reporting, and quality review required.
- High school education or equivalent required.
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification or Associate’s degree in a health-related field required.
- Completion of a medical terminology course required.
- Strong computer skills, including database management, Microsoft Office applications, and basic statistical knowledge required.
- Ability to learn and operate specialized software programs required.
- Proficient in PC-based applications such as spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and email required.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, process, and analyze large volumes of clinical data and communicate findings clearly and concisely required.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively required.
- High attention to detail required.
- General proficiency with audiovisual, office, and telecommunications equipment required.
- Successful completion of an approved AAAM Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) course within one year of hire required.
- Completion of an approved trauma registry course within one year of hire required.
- Completion of an approved ICD-10 course or ICD-10 refresher every five years required.
Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Data Specialist
- Experience with trauma registry or other healthcare-related registries preferred.
- Strong independent problem-solving skills and ability to work self-directed preferred.
- Proven ability to organize and execute work effectively under frequent deadlines preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills preferred.
- Familiarity with ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding preferred.

Coordinate a patient care delivery system for a designated group of patients in order to achieve high quality, cost effective patient outcomes across the continuum of health care with the goal of optimizing the patient's health status. Perform duties in the ambulatory setting as well as assisting complex (consisting of many different needs, intensive coordination) patients in the transition of care throughout multiple settings. Provides targeted interventions to avoid hospitalization and emergency room visits. Position may be designated within a primary care or specialty care area.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of three years Registered Nurse (RN) experience OR a combination of relevant experience with specific patient population related to position, to be approved by the CNO, as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (three years LPN experience equals one year RN experience) inclusive of a minimum of one year in RN role required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to prioritize and make independent clinical judgments required.
• Experience with basic patient care equipment, policy procedure and protocol manuals required.

- Replaces cubicle and window coverings.
- Gathers and disposes recyclables, trash, and medical waste. Collects hazardous trash following established infection control guidelines.
- Sorts, stocks and delivers linens. Gathers and prepares soiled linen for transportation.
- Cleans and prepares dismissal and transfer units and certain equipment used in the care of patients and distributes non-medical supplies to specific areas.
- Fills and cleans supply dispensers.
- Inventories linens, cleaning supplies and paper supplies and orders additional in a timely and cost effective manner. Keeps housekeeping closet organized and clean.

MRI Technologist Trainee Description:
Perform quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures under the supervision of a qualified MRI radiology technologist and radiologist, to ensure accurate and appropriate imaging information for use in diagnosis and treatment. Participate in teaching and research relating to MRI in support of the organizational mission. Demonstrate active involvement in the department.
Required Qualifications:

Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient - Part-time
Responsible for medication management for the pharmacy, nursing units and operating rooms including but not limited to ordering, receiving, sorting, distributing medications. Where you will work:
- Inpatient Beds: 16
- Patient population: moderately stable patients with elevated risk for instability. Patients may include ICU step down, patients who are chronically ventilated via tracheostomy, patients with higher risk of decompensation via trends of lab data, vital signs, and comorbidities.

- Typical RN to Patient Ratio: 1:3-4 days, 1:3-4 nights
We're looking for:
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Require at least 1 years experience as an RN
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred
What you’ll do:
- Build foundational skills and knowledge through Preceptor directed orientation.
- Build skills in triaging, lab interpretation, pathophysiology of disease process, pharmacology, time management, and communication skills for intermediate acuity patients with acute and chronic conditions.
- Coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Develop collaborative relationships with a resourceful multi-disciplinary team.
- Provide continuity of patient care through 12-hour shifts, patient centered care and team minded support.
- Be a valued member of a highly skilled, versatile nursing team committed to ensuring the delivery of quality and compassionate healthcare to diverse patient populations.

West Allis Medical Center is a level 4 Trauma, Primary Stroke, Geriatric Certified Emergency Department that averages around 42,000 visits per year. Staff provide care for adult and pediatric patients experiencing the following: acute trauma with injury, acute illnesses, and exacerbations of chronic health care conditions, women's health issues, and behavioral health concerns. Partner with a highly skilled team of Emergency Nursing staff who value strong relationships as part of a collaborative team to positively impact patient care.
We’re Looking For:
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- One year RN experience preferred or candidates with prior emergency medical services health care experience.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
