A Surgery Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with healthcare regulations. This role serves as a primary liaison between patients, surgeons, physician offices, hospitals, and insurance providers to arrange surgeries, obtain necessary authorizations, verify patient information, and communicate pre-operative instructions.Deliver Outstanding Service to Every Patient!
Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is looking for a customer-focused Surgery Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing support to providers by scheduling surgical procedures and meetings while helping create exceptional patient care.
What You'll Do:
- Schedule surgical procedures, testing, and pre-op appointments.
- Obtains insurance authorizations and oversees the management of consent forms for surgical procedures.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
- Oversees Provider schedule templates and inputs monthly schedules.
- Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
- Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
- Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.
General Requirements:
- EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent training. Demonstrated proficiency performing all Medical Reception core functions.
- CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: None
- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year of experience as a Surgery Scheduler or equivalent training, or demonstrated proficient performing all Medical Reception core functions (check in, check out and phones) of equivalent combination of experience, education and training.

What the Medical Technologist will do:
Demonstrates working knowledge of laboratory procedures and processes
Reports accurate patient laboratory results with minimum errors.
Reviews results based on knowledge of age-related normals.
Uses quality control results in determining validity of patient results
What the Medical Technologist will need:
Bachelor’s Degree plus clinical internship in Medical Technology (Clinical Laboratory Science).
American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or NCA certification - or – board eligible and must become certified within one year.
One year hospital lab experience preferred

What you will do:
The Microbiology Assistant is inoculating specimen onto culture media, which grows bacteria and/or fungus for technical analysis. The Microbiology Assistant does data entry into the LIS for each of the specimens received. The staff also fields call from nursing units, doctor offices, and physicians in regard to Microbiology.
Minimum Position has exposure to infectious disease, hazardous chemicals, fumes and sharps. The position requires some walking, standing, bending, pushing and occasional lifting of objects weighing from 20 to 40 pounds. Concentration is required when processing specimens and data entry into the LIS system. Must be able to handle daily interruptions during processing.
What you will need:
Education minimum High School diploma or equivalent is required. A College level biology or microbiology courses required. Preferred bachelor’s degree in biology, microbiology or a related science.
Preferred Inoculation experience in educational or medical lab

Phlebotomist/Registration: Working in a single assigned work area, provides specimen collection, registration and processing services to patients in the main hospital, outpatient lab draw stations, and mental health and skilled nursing facilities at off-site locations and clinics. High volume work, 50% of duties involve computer utilization with targets to meet. Provides clerical support to the Pathology Department and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma. Valid Michigan driver's license.
- ASCP certification for Phlebotomy (must obtain certification within one year of hire) preferred.
- Six months Phlebotomy experience required, including experience from school.
- Must be able to type 40 words per minute.
Must be able to work as early as 4 am for first shift. First month or so will be full time training on the shift you are hired for. Every third weekend is required to work and 2-3 holidays a year required. Driver's license and reliable transportation required for commuting to different locations as needed. About 50% specimen collection and 50% data entry and registration/computer related work.
Main Hospital Inpatient Phlebotomist
At the main hospital servicing inpatients, processing and registration of samples received from physician offices for testing.
Outpatient Health Park Phlebotomist
May be located at any outpatient draw stations around Grand Rapids; required to float to any health park when needed.
Mobile Phlebotomist
Travels daily between multiple nursing homes, corporate entities and residential facilities.

What the CVOR Surgical Technologist Will Do:
Provides assistanceas necessary to surgeons and residents by selecting, organizing,anticipatingand passing surgical instruments, medical supplies, equipment, and provides retraction under the direction of the surgeon.
Maintains highest standard of aseptic technique during all operative procedures, including surgical attire, surgical hand scrub, surgical gowning of self and team, surgical gloving of self and team, boundary between sterile and non-sterile areas, and traffic patterns.
Identifiesbreaches in aseptic technique and implements interventions for resolution.
Performs all phases of reprocessing including decontamination, tray assembly, sterilization, documentation, and problem resolution for parameter failure.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
What the CVOR Surgical Technologist Will Need:
Minimum Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
PreferredAssociate of Applied Science Surgical Technology.
Certification or re-certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within one month of hire.
NBSTA Surgical Technologist certification within 1 year of hire.
Familiarity with standard desktop and windows-based computersystem, including email, e-learning,intranetand computer navigation.
Ability to use other softwarerequiredto perform essential functions.
Must have at least one (1) year of inpatient Surgical Technologist experience
Preferredone (1) year of Cardiovascular Services experience or open-heart surgery experience.
Must be able to takerequiredcall for the open-heartteam.

Required Qualifications:
Education
Graduation from a school of nursing that results in the ability of the graduate to sit for the NCLEX exam to become licensed as a Registered Nurse. BSN preferred.
Licensure
· Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License.
· BLS.

Experience

In this role, you'll help patients navigate their healthcare journey through clinical triage, care coordination, patient education, and ongoing support that improves outcomes and enhances the patient experience. The RN III works in a capacity that requires advanced training, education, certification and/or leadership. Additionally, RN III’s may have program administration and staffing development responsibilities.
What You'll Do:
Proficient to work within scope of nursing certification that includes, but is not limited to lactation consulting, advanced wound ostomy care, care/case management certification, diabetes educator or asthma educator certification.
Serves as a nurse leader by assisting management team with hiring, motivating and engaging clinical staff.
Identifies and targets at-risk patients who require extensive care to improve health outcomes.
Assess and triage patient needs by phone and in-office visits.
Provide clinical guidance, patient education, and care coordination.
Support patients through transitions of care and post-discharge follow-up.
Collaborate with providers, care managers, pharmacists, behavioral health specialists, and other healthcare partners.
Manage medication refills, test results, referrals, and prior authorizations.
Identify preventive care needs and support chronic disease management.
Help patients access community resources and navigate barriers to care.
Serve as a clinical resource and leader within the care team.
What We're Looking For:
EDUCATION: BSN strongly preferred or Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program. Advanced certification/training relevant to specialty (e.g., AAACN, IBCLC) or graduate degree preferred.
CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: Valid, unrestricted RN license in the State of Michigan. Valid CPR certification.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3 years of clinical experience in a ambulatory care or specialty, and/or demonstrated competency in IHA’s RN II position.

General Responsibilities:

· Follow established safety precautions in the performance of all duties (i.e., exposure to body fluids, lifting, transferring, use and disposal of personal protective equipment).
· Wear and/or use safety equipment and supplies (e.g., gait belt, mechanical lifts, etc.) when lifting or moving residents in accordance with plan of care.
Minimum Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Must possess a current, unencumbered, active certification to practice as a Nursing Assistant in this state or certificate of completion of state approved nurse aide training program.
· Minimum of one-year experience within a healthcare setting preferred.
· Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred.
· Must possess superior customer service skills and professionalism.
· Must possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to adapt to ongoing change and work in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.

What the CT Technologist will Do:
Prepares patient by establishing necessary intravenous medications (IV) and administering oral and/or IV contrast media
Produces computerized tomography scans by entering patient data, programming the scanner, and the power injector
Evaluates the quality of images and films all images
Utilizes radiation protection devices and protocols, and infection control policies and procedures
Schedules and charges patients, retrieves films, and facilitates physician/patient inquiries
Explains exam and procedures, and acquires patient history
Monitors safety and comfort of patient through the exam
What the CT Technologist will Need:
Completion of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Technology program.
Must be currently registered by the American registry of radiologic technologists (ARRT), the Canadian association of medical radiation technologists (CAMRT), or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
Must maintain continuing education credits per biennium to retain registry status in compliance with the CE requirements of the certifying organization for the imaging modality in which services are performed. At least 2 of these credits must be in CT.
Document at least 20 hours of training and experience in operating CT equipment, radiation physics, and radiation protection or have the advanced certification in computed tomography from the ARRT.
One-year work experience in general diagnostic radiology.
Certification or re-certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire.
Ability to lift up to a maximum of 35lbs. and perform push/pull tasks that require a maximum force of 35 lbs.
Preferred: ARRT(CT), and/or must obtain the ARRT(CT) within one year of hire
