What you will do:
Is responsible for the day to day clinical aspects of the Cardiac Cath/EP Lab and ensures that all studies are performed and recorded in a safe, concise and professional manner in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
Responsible for assuring procedural compliance with all nationally published standards. .
What you will need:
Licensure/Certification/Registration: RCES certification preferred. BLS and ACLS thru American Heart Association is required.
Education: Successful completion of an approved cardiovascular program, Radiology program or Respiratory program.
Experience: One year of cardiac cath lab and EP experience is required.

Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
Certification / Registration / License
- Basic Life Support (BLS). Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required based on specialty.
- Active registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services
Note: Licensed nurses practicing via telehealth/telenursing/virtual modalities are required to be licensed or hold the privilege to practice in the state(s) where the client(s) is/are located. Licensed nurses are responsible and accountable for knowing, understanding, and practicing in compliance with the laws, rules, regulations, and standards of practice of the state(s) where the client(s) is/are located.
Experience
Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
- Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
- Additional department specific physical requirements may be identified for unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Carries out physical therapy programs as planned and directed by the physical therapist in clinical and research applications. This involves training patients in exercises, ambulation, and activities of daily living. 2. Collects clinical assessment scores, radiographic scores and assessments, and health related quality of life information. 3. Performs a wide range of tests and evaluations in a clinical or research setting. This involves evaluation of developmental levels and functions, gross and fine motor skills, neurological-reflex testing, equilibrium, coordination, protective responses, muscle strength, muscle tone, joint range of motion, daily living skills and activities, and perceptual motor skills and defects. Screens for orthopaedic and physical defects, genetic anomalies, or idiopathic. 4. Maintains supplies and equipment. 5. Assists with research protocol and treatment development; ensures quality control of data. Develops and writes educational materials. 6. Our hospice/home health aides provide paraprofessional services to our patients in their homes, following physician orders and in compliance with the state's Nurse Practice Act, any applicable licensure/certification requirements and our policies and procedures.
What You Will Do:
Follows care plan developed by RN.
Reports client changes in condition to RN, as described on care plan.
Assists clients with personal care activities including bathing, mouth care, denture care, skin care, grooming, bathroom privileges, transferring, ambulation, and dressing and undressing activities.
Assists clients with household tasks including, planning and preparing meals, feeding, light housekeeping, changing linens, making bed, and laundering clothes and bedding.
Measures and records client’s oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse respiration and blood pressure as ordered.
Performs range of motion and other simple procedures as an extension of therapy services as assigned.
Assists clients in self-administration of medication. This procedure must be assigned by an RN and documented in the clinical record. The Home Health / Hospice Aide shall not administer medication of any kind
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required.
Completion of CNA 75 hr course.
Completion of federally compliant training program as required by law/regulation and successful completion of a competency evaluation program.
Documentation of one year’s employment as an aide in an institution, home care, or hospice setting.
Meets agency hiring criteria as defined in agency minimum standards (e.g. provision of professional references.)
Must be able to function in a practice environment with minimal direct supervision, accepting personal responsibility for maintaining a professional relationship with agency’s client and their family.
Must accept responsibility for maintaining skills, learning and adhering to agencies policies and procedures on an on-going basis.
Ability to consistently demonstrate the Organizational Core Competencies and Organizational Code of Ethics and adhere to the Compliance Program.
Must have current Driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work site.

Job Summary
Under indirect supervision performs all duties associated with acquisition, processing, submission for interpretation, and archiving of CT images. Responsible for the care of the patient while in the Cat Scan Department.
- Demonstrates competency in positioning of all CT procedures as prescribed by departmental policy and CT protocols.
- Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgment of patients ' understanding and address any questions or concerns.
- Positions patient and formulates appropriate techniques to demonstrate cross-sectional anatomy of interest based on accepted radiographic principles. Judges diagnostic quality of finished medical images prior to submission to radiologist for interpretation.
- Performs venipuncture for administration of radiopaque media and assists in obtaining informed consent as appropriate
- Reviews all diagnostic imaging requests for appropriateness based on clinical information provided. All questionable orders are communicated to the radiologists for final approval.
- Takes verbal orders from providers as needed and enters appropriately in RIS system.
- Prepares and maintains records in accordance with various regulatory agencies and enters patient and study information into the radiology information system, and documents billing codes of procedures performed to ensure accurate patient charges.
- Assists, communicates, and consults with the Radiologists. Works independently outside the department with providers.
- Observes patient during radiologic exam for change in status and makes appropriate intervention or contacts primary care givers for instruction.
- Provides guidance, direction and mentoring for other personnel that maybe assigned to the area in which they are working including student radiographers.
- Identifies and corrects problems as appropriate with all critical occurrences reported to the next level of authority.

Major Responsibilities
Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient. Refers and questions orders to the Radiologist before performing exam. Contacts ordering provider when there are discrepancies.
Properly identify(Using two patient identifiers) and assist patients while offering a brief explanation of the procedures. Prepares patients for the procedure with a full explanation and documents on appropriate worksheets.
Interviews patients for a complete medical history. Reviews in-patients, ER, and outpatients EMR’s to obtain pertinent clinical history. Records medical history on requisitions. Correlates other test results and laboratory data with exam being performed.
Assumes responsibility for the exam from beginning of exam until completion of dictated results.
Prepares and administers IV contrast according to departmental protocols. On request, records contrast type and amount.
Evaluates technical quality of images and consults with a Radiologist if needed. Recognizes abnormal anatomy and processes any additional, reconstructed images, and/or measurements as instructed.
Performs basic patient care functions. Informsappropriate nursing personnel of any changes in the patient’s condition. Initiates life support measures for patients when necessary. Assists in “code blue” procedures during medical emergencies.
Performs CT scanning and assists Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures. Practices proper sterile technique in the preparation of necessary supplies. Performs all invasive procedures in accordance with bloodborne pathogens, isolation, and infection control policies and procedures.
Is authorized to obtain medication or contrast material as directed for administration by a licensed practitioner.
Practices principle of radiation safety for self, employees, patients and family members. Follows appropriate radiation safety standards.
Reports malfunctioning equipment to the department director/manager/supervisor and clinical engineering/radiology engineer precautions. Maintains knowledge and skills required to work safely in an environment that can create significant exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious disease.
Adheres to the hospital fire and safety procedures. Attends all in-service classes and completes all required safety modules.
Performs work in an accurate and timely manner in periods of crisis and emergency situations where time is critical. Rotates shifts as required including call back, holidays, and weekends. Adheres to the Atrium Health attendance policy by being punctual and taking measures to prevent absences.
Operates radiology computer system to include entering orders and charging procedures/supplies. Documents contrast administration in the MAR.
Maintains assigned work area in a neat and orderly fashion. Keeps area completely stocked. Cleans all work areas to promote cleanliness in the workplace.
Assists other medical personnel, such as anesthesia, when performing exams or services in conjunction with a CT scan.

- Greets patients arriving for their appointments. Monitors patient flow to ensure patients are cared for in the most efficient and courteous manner.
- Ensures all patient demographic and insurance information is complete and accurate
- Completes the registration process on walk-in patients, verifies and / or updates patient demographic and insurance information if changes or additions have occurred

- Mathematical aptitude, effective oral and written communication skills and critical thinking skills
- Understanding of basic human anatomy, medical terminology and procedures for application in the patient referral, pre-certification and authorization processes.

$38.20 - $57.30The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for patient evaluations, care planning, directing, and administering Occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. The ST administers treatments and physical agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. The ST assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The Speech Language Pathologist ensures patient charges are accurate and submitted in a timely manner. Speech Language Pathologists coordinate, delegate and supervise responsibilities assigned to support staff (OT /PT Aide, etc.) The Speech Language Pathologist participates in operational aspects of the department, contributing to performance improvement and CQI activities. Speech Language Pathologists participate in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs.
Major Responsibilities:
Patient Assessments / Reassessments
Performs appropriate patient assessments resulting in an effective treatment plan.
Reassesses patients at appropriate intervals of time demonstrating the ability to observe treatment effect and modify the plan of care as indicated.
Involves the patient and /or family in the assessment process and the formation of the care plan.
Care Planning / Interdisciplinary Communication
Provides care in accordance with physician’s orders.
Demonstrates appropriate case management to ensure quality of care and best patient outcome.
Communicates appropriately to physicians, nurses, case managers, and other members of the health care team to ensure care is collaborative and appropriate.

Patient Education
Formulates a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning.
