Responsibilities:
Best Practices: Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
Build Relationships: Enhance, develop and expand relationships with referral sources and maintain a positive level of interaction with centers and patients.
Collaborative Approach: Develop objective patient goals and establish the type, frequency and duration of occupational therapy in collaboration with the referring physician.
High Standard of Care: Understand appropriate state Practice Act and adhere to the laws that govern how OTs may practice and whom they may supervise.

We are open 24/7 at our ER hospital location to offer continuous patient care, allowing for flexible DVM work schedules.
We are currently seeking an experienced emergency veterinarian to join our team at OVCE. We are a 24 hour emergency hospital located in the beautiful town of Oviedo, Florida. Open all holidays and during states of emergency (i.e. hurricanes). Our state of the art facility was built in 2023. We are fully equipped with two surgery suites, CT scan, ultrasound, digital radiology, endoscopy, electrocautery, ligasure, oxygen support, two isolation wards, and 10 exam rooms.
The ideal candidate would be a team player, open to working overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and possesses strong emergency surgical skills. Our emergency veterinarians are responsible for intaking and treating a wide variety of surgical and medical cases.

Job Requirements:
-Minimum of 3 years of emergency experience.
-Hybrid of general practice medicine and emergency medicine.
-Must be comfortable with performing high quality, high volume spay and neuters, elective procedures such as mass removal, dental, eye enucleation, etc.
-Must be comfortable with performing GDV correction, splenectomy, exploratory laparotomy (to include RNA), pyometra, c-section, cystotomy, etc.
-Comfortable and confident in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of medical cases (i.e. addisonian crisis, ITP, IMHA, snake envenomation, heatstroke, etc.).
-Confident in managing multiple ICU patients.
-Comfortable treating the occasional exotic patient is a plus.
-Must be able to work at least 2 holiday shifts per year.

What you will do:
Maintains continuous survey readiness through compliance with regulations from a number of regulatory agencies, including The Joint Commission (TJC), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and identified industry best management practices.
Serves as Co-Safety Officer with direct oversight of Life Safety/Fire Safety Program
Serves as the primary fire / life safety code Subject Matter Expert for Holy Cross Health. Validates regulatory findings before investing in changes or corrective actions. Collaborates with local and State fire officials, Facilities Managers and Construction / Real Estate team members to evaluate new codes / code changes that will impact Holy Cross Health facilities.
Coordinates and monitors Fire and Life Safety program elements in compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations including, but limited to safety inspections for new construction, remediation and repair, and renovations projects.
Manages the Interim Life Safety Management (ILSM) program and all pertinent documentation for all Holy Cross Health facilities. Conducts Pre-Construction Risk Assessments to evaluate for life safety deficiencies during construction and renovation projects. Collaborates with contractors and other team members in assessment, mitigation development, and education related to Life Safety risk and oversight of implementation of Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM).
Participates in the testing, inspection and repair activities of the Life Safety Systems with facilities/vendors and serves as the Fire/Life Safety evaluator for the inspection process.
Coordinates and conducts all Fire drills across the system. Fire drill process, including development of scenarios, scheduling and implementation of drills, to include proper documentation of the exercises. Monitors and reports compliance to operational leaders.
Prepares and presents effective employee training on proper fire / life safety response procedures.

*Is knowledgeable of and ensures that supervised Associates are knowledgeable of applicable current compliance policies and procedures, laws and regulatory developments including their responsibility to comply with applicable laws, regulations and Holy Cross Hospital policies as a condition of employment, as well as reporting mechanisms such as the corporate compliance hotline.
* Ensures that Associates complete compliance orientation and ensures and arranges for ongoing specific risk training (applicable to the department) on a regular basis throughout the year.
* Provides appropriate assistance regarding monitoring techniques to reasonably assure compliance in supervised functional areas, including the submission of reports of suspect non-compliance to the Compliance Officer so that further evaluation can be performed.
* Responds timely to detect offenses, assists in the investigation and in the development and implementation of disciplinary and/or corrective action initiatives.
*Facilitate and oversee competitive selection process and contract negotiation for all owner-contracted consultants.
* Regularly monitor contract compliance with all owner-contracted firms.
* Complete a final review of all contracts to ensure services and billings are consistent with contract terms.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelors Degree in Construction Engineering, Architecture, a related field, or equivalent experience. Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration and or Business Administration preferred.
* Minimum of ten (10) years progressive experience in planning and managing large scale, multi-million dollar construction projects required.
* Must possess proven track record of successful management of multi-million dollar healthcare construction projects.
* Strong familiarity with Standard Agreement templates as published by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) covering all facets of capital project management.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
* Outstanding leadership ability capable of engaging and motivating a team with a broad
range of experiences and backgrounds to accomplish project objectives.
* Highly effective interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
