Saint Mary's Hospital, Waterbury CT Please Attach ResumeYou would be responsible for providing clerical and telephone support to facilitate the efficient operation of the Laboratory Department. Must be able to handle difficult calls and provide information to physicians inquiring about their patients. Duties also include regulatory and compliance responsibilities, maintaining files, scheduling and registration of lab work, preparation of documents, attending lab meetings and preparing meeting minutes, ordering supplies, filing, copying, and any other clerical duties as assigned.
What You Will Do:
Provides clerical and telephone support
Acts as the liaison between the laboratory and the clients.
Fulfills all regulatory and compliance responsibilities, i.e., CAP, DPH & CLIA certifications and licensure records are up to date.
Maintains all employee files to comply with regulatory standards.
Performs clerical revisions and typing of current and new policy and procedure manuals.
Records and distributes all laboratory meeting minutes.
Manages laboratory supplies related to section (PeopleSoft and Staples).
Assists in registration of lab work as needed.
Faxes lab results to clients.
Organizes and files CAP PT surveys.
Assists in mail delivery and specimen transport.
Schedules Courier services to Outreach facilities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Hours:
40 hours, Day Shifts
Minimum Requirements:
Position requires educational level of High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree in a health-related field, preferred.
Three (3) years of administrative/clerical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Strong administrative and clerical skills including proficiency in computer skills including MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to communicate with all levels of staff, outside providers and patients effectively and professionally. Excellent telephone demeanor.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.

Position Purpose
At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Registered Nurse (RN) in the Main PACU provides post-operative care for patients recovering from complex surgeries performed in the Main OR of a Level 1 Trauma Center.
What You Will Do
Provide high-acuity care for patients recovering from trauma, cardiovascular, neurological, and other critical surgeries.
Manage Phase 1 and 2 recovery, ensuring safe emergence from anesthesia, stabilization, and transfer readiness.
Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and care teams to deliver advanced interventions and uphold perioperative standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
Valid RN license in Connecticut.
The ideal candidate will have one or more years of PACU experience supporting inpatient surgical recovery.
Preferred:
Candidates with 2 (two) or more years of ICU-level nursing experience may be considered if they demonstrate expertise in ICU-level ventilated patient care, critical drips (e.g., vasopressors, sedatives), and strong assessment skills. Note: Training is not available for candidates without this expertise
BLS/CPR certification (AHA or ARC)
ACLS and TNCC certification (support available post-hire)
Proficiency in ASPAN standards and guidelines

Explain insurance and private pay liabilities; appropriately refer patients requiring financial counseling
Accurately enter/update all patient demographic information, including insurance and patient liability; post payments to appropriate screen and complete reconciliation reports
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances
Patient access hospital experience strongly preferred

Pharmacist will work remotely to review, verify, and counsel on Meds to Go prescriptions in Illinois, as well as be assist with hospital communication and education. Pharmacist will also be responsible for providing verification and consultation for Medifriend locations and Wisconsin RD pharmacies. Work shifts may include 1st and 2nd shift, as well as weekends. Position requires pharmacist to become dual licensed in both Illinois and Wisconsin.
Pay Range:
$54.90 - $82.35Major Responsibilities:
Oversees pharmaceutical care, including retrieving and evaluating biomedical literature and designing medication therapy regimens
Uses effective patient education techniques to provide counseling to patients and caregivers, including information on medication therapy, adverse effects, compliance, appropriate use, handling, and medication administration
Designs, recommends, monitors, and evaluates patient specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens based on relevant biomedical literature. Implements recommendations effectively and utilizes policies and procedures and documents in the appropriate format.
Reviews and accurately interprets medication orders and prescriptions
Participates in the management of medical emergencies when applicable
Actively supports department medication safety and quality improvement activities, including the reporting of events through appropriate channels
Performs quality assurance and performance improvement of the medication use system as appropriate
Collaborates with the healthcare team to manage formulary adherence and the medication-use process. Assists in the acquisition of non-formulary, compassionate use, and investigational medications.
Practices in compliance with organization’s policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations
Prepares, dispenses, and oversees the proper storage and handling of medications in accordance with best practice, policies and state and federal regulations
Serves as preceptor for pharmacy students, residents, and healthcare learners as assigned
Mentors, orients, trains, and assists with the performance evaluation of pharmacy teammates, residents, and students as assigned
Directs and checks the accuracy of the work of pharmacy support team members in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures to ensure safe and efficient workflows, service standards, and regulatory compliance
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
Licensed in the state(s) of practice or eligible for reciprocity required
Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification required based on area of practice
Credentialing and privileging required based on area of practice
Education Required:
Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree in pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy required, or an FPGEC certificate from NABP

May be required to frequently stretch, bend, squat, or kneel to perform job
Utilizes appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to minimize exposure to hazardous agents
Takes necessary precautions to avoid inadvertent needle sticks, minor cuts or bruises
Must be able to perform manipulative skills such as writing, typing, and data entry into the computer and automated dispensing machines
Must have use of both hands, be able to see clearly and read small font such as that on unit-dose medication packages and syringes
Must have functional speech, vision, and hearing
Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job
