$41.10 - $61.65Major Responsibilities: Coordination and implementation of strategies to ensure quality, efficacy, and cost effectiveness for the oncology patients in multiple settings. 6)Assesses patient needs 5)Orientates patient to the hospital and outpatient settings as well as the organization 1)The PONN delivers cancer care across the continuum, from diagnosis through treatment. and implements the transition to survivorship, and end-of-life care 2)Using the nursing process, the PONN provides patient and family insight with appropriate education and resources to facilitate informed decision-making and timely access to quality health and psychosocial care throughout all phases of the cancer continuum 3)Critically thinks and clinically assesses patients providing support and education. Manages the complexity of the cancer diagnosis 4)Communicates and collaborates with all multidisciplinary team members 7)Reviews distress screening for referrals Communication and Physician Partnership. 1)Communicates and collaborates with the treating physician 2)Communicates and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team 3)Receives and responds to new patient referrals Education and Program Development 2)Reinforces education regarding diagnosis 3)Connects patient to appropriate and requested resources 4)Develops and reports outcome metrics to drive program development 5)Assesses and implements activities that support the standards related to Children's Oncology Group (COG) 6)Review and strategizes activities that support the community needs assessment of site-specific results. 1)Using the nursing process, the PONN provides patient and family insight with appropriate education and resources to facilitate informed decision-making and timely access to quality health and psychosocial care throughout all phases of the cancer continuum. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: • Flexible hours according to customer needs • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to patient-focused care • Ability to prioritize independently and respond to multiple simultaneous requests • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with established time constraints and in difficult situations • May be exposed to hazardous materials and life-threatening diseases • Ability to perform lifting/transfer activities related to patients (up to 50 lbs. may be required) • Must be able to travel to visit physicians and other practices within our region • This position needs to recognize needs and behaviors of specific age groups of patients treated Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Respiratory Therapists follow AARC standards at St. Mary's Medical Center. They insert arterial lines, intubate patients and practice patient driven protocolized care. St. Mary's is a 310-bed hospital with 32 ICU/CVICU beds, 33 ED beds and 22 NICU beds. As the largest hospital between Denver and Salt Lake City, this level II trauma center gives RT's the opportunity to frequently work in critical care areas (including a level III NICU) and advance their careers in leadership roles within the department.

Scope
- Performs, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic testing procedures according to protocol. Obtains arterial gases. Oversees and troubleshoots the operation of equipment for optimal patient care. Initiates Respiratory Protocol according to department criteria. Initiates interventions based on the interpretation of assessments.
- Administers medications in a timely and safe manner. Evaluates effect and re-evaluates appropriately and according to protocol. Ensures that progress of patient is communicated to staff, physicians and other departments. Makes appropriate recommendations for patient care. Recognizes the educational needs of patients and families in relation to health promotion and wellness. Teaches patients and families self care techniques and modalities.
- Completes documentation according to departmental standards. Accurately documents productivity information. Utilizes time effectively to achieve productivity standard, including utilizing low census time when patient load does not support full productivity.
- Promotes mission, vision, values and abides by service behavior standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Required
- Graduate of AMA approved program for Respiratory Therapy is required
- Current license for Respiratory Therapy in the state of practice is required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist is required Health Care Provider Life Support certification is required ACLS is required for critical care Additional may be required for specialty areas (PALS, NALS, etc. )

- The Phlebotomist II performs specimen collection using many different techniques such as venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO, and throat swab collections. These caregivers collect specimens from patients of various acuities, such as Outpatient, Emergency Department, and Inpatient – including newborns, patients in intensive care, and all other areas of the hospital. They are at the forefront of patient care and adhere to and enforce the standards for laboratory compliance and safety regulations.

Schedule: 8 hour shifts, Monday - Friday, ranging from 7:30am - 5pm, occasional weekends.

EDUCATION:
- Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
- HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- 1 year of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Basic knowledge of insurance policies and procedures, as well as patient billing.
- Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Possess written and verbal communications skills to communicate with fellow team members, supervisors, patients, and other hospital personnel.
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).

- Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
- Identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
- Ensure the privacy of each patient’s Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Build collaborate relationships with peers and other staff members to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.

Pay Range is $32.16 to $45.02 / hourThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
