Position Summary
The Patient Transporter is an incredible opportunity for those looking to expand their role in health care and service to others. This dynamic position provides professional and exceptional care through safe and timely transport of patients, supplies, oxygen, beds and equipment throughout the MultiCare facility.
As a Transporter at MultiCare, you will collaborate with the entire nursing staff, hone your decision-making capacities, and enjoy daily variety and problem-solving opportunities.
Responsibilities
You will provide safe and timely transport of patients, beds, oxygen, supplies, and equipment throughout the facility
Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and/or from beds or chairs to and/or from wheelchair or stretcher
You will respond to STAR codes by transporting patient lift equipment and assisting nursing staff, as needed
You will provide assistance to units by cleaning equipment and stocking supplies
Partner with a service-oriented attitude, professional integrity, and solid decision-making capacities
You will effectively prioritize and apply organization and flexibility to your work duties
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Current BLS Certification
- Successful completion of in-house training program on patient lift and mobility within 6 months of placement in job
- One (1) year of previous transport or related healthcare experience preferred
- May require certifications based on hospital needs

Position Summary
The Occupational Therapist is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, responsible for evaluating, planning and implementing occupational therapy services for in-patients and outpatients referred for Occupational Therapy. With varied and dynamic day-to-day functions, you will apply your service orientation, analysis and good judgment toward ensuring comprehensive occupational therapy care for patients.
Responsibilities:
- You will perform well in stress and emergency situations
- You will perform patient evaluations/re-evaluations, establish a treatment plan, and modify the treatment plan according to the needs of the patient and response to treatment
- You will perform treatment interventions for outpatient and/or inpatient population as directed
- You will perform documentation in the medical record that is timely and accurate
- You will communicate well with patients, peers, other health professionals in the coordination of care for the patients
Requirements:
- State of Washington Occupational Therapist license
- Current BLS Certification required
- Minimum one (1) year of previous experience in occupational therapy preferred

SUMMARY:
Under general supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor, performs a variety of project cleaning duties, including buffing, stripping and refinishing of floor surfaces, shampooing of carpets and other cleaning duties to maintain an assigned area of the hospital, or its related buildings, in a sanitary and orderly condition.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assembles materials and supplies from supply rooms, stock service carts, transports to assigned work area, performs daily cleaning and supplying of the area, as defined on the floor schedule in accordance with established departmental procedures, prescribed methods and standards. Returns unused supplies to supply room at the end of shift, cleans equipment used in performance of duties and stores it properly.
Prepares cleaning solutions, dusts windowsills, blinds, furniture, and other items. Empties and cleans wastebaskets, dry mops floors, cleans and polishes metal and porcelain fixtures in bathrooms, offices, and patient rooms. Cleans showers and toilets, damp dusts or vacuums chairs and other items, makes beds with clean linens. Performs discharge cleaning of patient rooms, assists in the cleaning of observed emergency spills upon request. Vacuums rugs and carpets.
Washes walls and ceilings, cleans lighting fixtures, tops of windows and doorframes. Hangs and changes bedside curtains and drapes, moves furniture to clean area, notifying supervisor when assistance is necessary. Transports trash and linen to designated areas, compacts trash following established hospital procedures, packs infectious waste, as needed.
Maintains assigned equipment and work area in a clean, orderly and safe condition. Reports necessary repairs to equipment, furniture, building and fixtures to supervisor.
Performs duties assigned in accordance with hospital procedures during fire, or internal/community disaster.
Performs all heavy duty cleaning functions as required. Operates power equipment as needed. Transports furniture and equipment in accordance with department policies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires the ability to follow written and oral instructions in English.
The level of education normally attained in courses at secondary school levels.
Effective interpersonal communication skills.
EXPERIENCE:
One to three months to proficiently perform all basic duties.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Routinely work in healthcare setting such as acute care hospitals, physician office and/or ancillary healthcare enterprise.
Any potential workplace hazards are minimized or nullified by adherence to established safety procedures and precautions including the use of safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Physical ability to perform required tasks and ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

The Secretary, Medical Admin Sr provides advanced administrative and clerical support to physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff. In addition to performing the full scope of Secretary, Medical Admin responsibilities, this position may coordinate office operations and staff activities, train and mentor administrative personnel, manage complex scheduling and program support, and serves as the primary liaison for clinical, academic, and administrative functions. The Secretary, Medical Admin Sr ensures the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and customer service while supporting the operational efficiency of the medical office.II. Major Responsibilities
1. Patient Scheduling, Registration, and Coordination
• Schedules and coordinates inpatient and outpatient visits, procedures, and diagnostic testing, collaborating with patients, caregivers, and ancillary services to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Registers patients, verifies insurance coverage and eligibility, and secures required referrals or authorizations.
• Assists with new patient intake, including collecting demographic and insurance information.
• Identifies urgent patient-care needs and escalates to providers or clinical staff as appropriate.
2. Communication and Customer Service
• Answers and screens phone calls, responds to routine inquiries, and routes messages to appropriate caregivers.
• Greets visitors and patients, determines their needs, provides information on procedures and policies, and ensures a professional, courteous experience.
• Serves as liaison between patients, families, and caregivers to promote timely and effective communication.
• Escorts patients to examination rooms and chaperones examinations as required.
3. Documentation, Transcription, and Correspondence
• Transcribes medical reports from dictation and produces correspondence, reports, memos, and other documents.
• Proofreads and edits materials for grammar, spelling, format, and style.
• Composes or prepares standard letters and forms for review.
• Prepares, updates, and maintains patient charts, records, and other documentation in accordance with organization standards and HIPAA regulations.
4. Meeting, Program, and Faculty Support
• Arranges and coordinates internal and external meetings; prepares and distributes agendas; records and distributes minutes.
• Makes travel arrangements for conferences, meetings, and other events.
• May coordinate residency, fellowship, clerkship, or other educational programs, including schedules, requirements, and related documentation, as assigned.
5. Billing and Financial Processing
• Collects patient copayments, processes payments, and maintains records for daily deposits.
• Performs on-site charge entry for submission to billing.
6. Office and Administrative Operations
• Prepares and processes routine administrative paperwork, such as expense/purchase requisitions, and time sheets, ensuring timely submission.
• Maintains confidential files and records for medical and administrative purposes; coordinates retrieval of records as needed.
• Monitors office supply inventory and ensures basic maintenance of office equipment.

Job Description:
The Surgical Services Support Technician is responsible for safely transporting patients to and from the operating room (OR) or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This role includes organizing and restocking equipment, cleaning surgical suites, assisting with room turnover, maintaining sterile technique, supporting OR and anesthesia caregiver requests, and transporting specimens and blood following safe verification policies.
The Surgical Services Support Technician is expected to be able to assist with prompt case turnovers prioritizing a clean and organized OR, SDS, PACU, or patient environment. Essential duties include working closely with the surgical team and adapting to dynamic situations. The technician may also need to respond to code situations and assist as required. Promoting the health organization’s mission, vision, and values is also a key expectation.
Expanded duties may include scrubbing into procedures and assisting by holding extremities, retractors, cameras, suction, or organs. Caregivers in this role are trained in Basic Aseptic Technique.
Shift Details
Full-time, 36 hours/week. Schedule will be determined when orientation is completed. Monday - Friday with variable start times and/or days with on-call requirements
Essential Functions
- Transports patients safely to and from the OR holding area, PACU or patient rooms, utilizing proper patient handling techniques, and assists with lifting positioning, and transferring patients as needed.
- Consults with the anesthesiologist and registered nurse (RN) to determine equipment, setup, and supply needs prior to procedures. In time, anticipates procedural requirements and proactively prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies.
- Processes post-surgical case carts by safely discarding sharps, emptying suction canisters, redistributing unused supplies, and sending carts to the Sterile Processing Department for reprocessing.
- Sets up fluid warmers, invasive lines, and sterile supplies for anesthesia procedures, when assigned.
- Ensures timely turnover of operating rooms by cleaning all surfaces, removing trash and soiled linen, mopping beneath the OR bed, and preparing the room thoroughly for the next surgical case.
- Transports blood products and specimens to and from the blood bank, OR, SDS, PACU, and laboratory/pathology departments, ensuring strict adherence to all verification and safety protocols.
- When assigned, stocks supplies such as masks and surgical attire in the OR, as well as dietary and storeroom supplies in SDS and PACU, or other supplies as directed by the facility.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the facility, which may include verifying and logging warmer temperatures, checking eyewash stations, maintaining the utility room, and other support tasks as needed.
- Maintains proper traffic patterns and adheres to sanitation protocols for surgical and anesthesia instruments and equipment.
- Expanded duties may include completing training in Basic Aseptic Technique, learning to scrub, gown, and glove independently, and attentively supporting the surgeon as directed, in accordance with the scope of practice for support personnel.

Minimum Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice. Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.

Summary
Overview The Behavioral Health Specialist I (BHS I) provides direct care, safety, and therapeutic support to children and adolescents in inpatient or partial psychiatric programs. Working under the Clinical Nurse Manager, Program Director, and Charge RN, the BHS I helps structure the therapeutic milieu, contributes to daily programming, and documents patient observations under RN supervision. Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain a Safe & Therapeutic Environment
Engage with assigned children throughout the shift.
Implement and document physician/RN‑ordered observation levels.
Assist with daily routines, ADLs, and hygiene needs.
Support visiting parents per treatment team direction.
Identify and report safety concerns or unit issues.
Provide timely therapeutic interventions during disruptive or unsafe situations.
Complete incident reports, intakes, and participate in restraint debriefings.
Follow delegated assignments and report back before shift change.
Maintain professional boundaries at all times.
2. Follow Policies & Maintain Required Certifications
Adhere to all hospital, departmental, and program policies.
Attend staff meetings, peer reviews, and required trainings.
Maintain current CPR, crisis management, OSHA, ERS, and Safety certifications.

Co‑lead community meetings, social skills groups, and activity/recreation groups.
Set and maintain consistent therapeutic limits.
Implement individualized behavioral programs with RN and treatment team guidance.
Organize and participate in unit activities and developmental programming.
Assist with family teaching visits and parent training.
Model appropriate therapeutic interactions with patients and families.
Co‑lead therapy groups with clinicians and support recreation therapy programs.
Manage crises safely using least‑restrictive interventions.
Seek supervision and integrate feedback into practice.
Perform additional duties as assigned and assist in other programs when needed.
