This job works under direct on-premises supervision of a licensed physical or occupational therapist and according to detailed instructions, competency completion, policies and procedures, provides therapeutic modality treatments as assigned, prepares therapy areas and patients for treatments, and transports patients by use of wheelchairs and stretchers. Maintains all equipment and environment to assure that they are clean, operable, and safe. This job performs isolation techniques as outlined in Infection Control policy.Education

Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of required job information.
- Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, keyboard, and various software packages specific to role.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
- Must be able to travel throughout and between facilities.
Job Duties
- Prepares and maintains work area for treatment including ordering of supplies/linen and pharmaceuticals.
- Orients and mentors new staff in needs of assigned area.
- Monitors and assists in patient-care as specifically instructed by the therapist according to their competencies.
- Assists with generalized office and front desk procedures.
- Transports patients to and from department or room via wheelchair or stretcher as directed by professional staff in a safe and courteous manner.
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
- Other related duties as required.

As a critical access hospital, Banner Lassen Medical Center offers a wide range of programs and services to aid in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness. As a full-time Multi-Modality Technologist I, in this rural facility, you will have the ability to work in several modalities providing care to our patients. Schedule will be varied 12hr shifts, with weekend rotations.

Located in Susanville in northeast California, Banner Lassen Medical Center offers comprehensive care in a state-of-the-art facility to aid in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of illnesses. Our 25-bed medical center has a proud history of providing vital caring to the community since 1883. Though we are a small community hospital, we have invested in the latest medical equipment, including a 124-slice CT scanner, nuclear medicine, MRI, ultrasound, bone density and mammography. The hospital also offers infusion, respiratory therapy and cardiopulmonary services as well as laboratory services, inpatient and outpatient surgery and a 24-hour emergency department. CORE FUNCTIONS

8. Independently performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols to patients. Internal customers: All levels of medical imaging and nursing management and staff, medical staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. External Customers: regulatory and health agencies, patients and family members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology programs. Requires national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) based on modalities in which they will be conducting work and licensure by the state regulatory agency as applicable. As of August 1, 2019, all Multi-Modality Technologist's hired on or after August 1,2019 will be required to have an advance certification by an accrediting body in a specialty if applicable. BLS certification required.
This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with 2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience. Must be actively working in each certified modality, in accordance with the needs of the facility. The Multi-Modality Technologist I will be required to rotate and cover department scheduling as needed and required in areas where obtained certifications apply. Multi-Modality Technologist I requires certification in two (2) or more of the following modalities: Radiologic (X-ray), Computed Tomography (CT), Bone Densitometry (DEXA), Mammography, Breast Sonography, Angiography.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position serves as the first point of contact between patients and the facility. Coordinates and guides patient visit from check-in to check-out. Performs various functions including, scheduling, insurance verification, collecting co-pays, and gathering patient demographic information. Answers and routes phone calls and completes daily paperwork and necessary reports.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Receives all incoming calls from both internal and external lines. Documents messages and routes to appropriate clinical staff. Transfers calls as necessary. Ensures documentation in medical record is complete including lab and test results. Assists in facilitating requests for patient medical records.
2. Receives patient in applicable systems, confirms patient demographics and insurance information and performs insurance verification when required. May be required to calculate and collect copays, deductibles, and self-pay. Totals charges on patient’s super-bill at check-out. Coordinates transportation to care centers and residential homes as requested by patients or physicians.
3. Schedules, re-schedules patient’s office appointments, follow-up appointments, diagnostic tests, surgeries and may provide patient with preparation instructions for exams, tests, or surgeries when required. Confirms patient appointments for the following day. May prepare patient referrals to specialty care.
4. Prints physician schedules, superbills, labels and other applicable forms in preparation for next business day. Pulls and files patient charts and prepares new patient charts as needed. Prints and files transcription notes. Provides administrative support for Physicians as needed.
5. Reconciles charge tickets to each day's schedule, identifies incomplete tickets, missing charge codes or missing diagnosis and notifies clinical staff. Forwards completed tickets and/or billing package to the business office or billing company.
6. Escorts patients back to the patient exam rooms, takes vitals and patient history, may assist with patient treatment, if required by the assigned facility.
7. Expected to perform daily work duties with minimal supervision based on training and policies provided. Additional guidance available as needed for new or unusual tasks. Required to resolve minor patient grievances. Required to have working knowledge of referral and authorization processes. Must navigate a variety of separate computer programs at any given time and handle multiple demands on time. Internal customers include all patients, staff and clinic providers. 2.Performs multiple access procedures, arterial and venous. May assist in FDPAC and IAPB insertion and associated invasive cardiac outputs/profile and non-invasive cardiac outputs as prescribed in accordance with established department/hospital policies and procedures.
3.Applies and manages mechanical ventilators in collaboration with physician and/or licensed independent practitioners recommending adjustments to improve clinical condition, patient comfort, and to expedite the weaning process. The practitioner demonstrates expert clinical proficiency in traditional and non-traditional ventilation modalities as prescribed in accordance with established department/hospital policies and procedures.
4. Assembles, disassembles, operates, maintains, troubleshoots, cleans and performs adjustments in the application of durable medical equipment and circuitry used in delivery of care in accordance with established department/hospital policies and procedures.
5. Performs patient assessment and evaluates patient response to care provided, making recommendations to physicians/licensed independent practitioners regarding the plan of care, and appropriate use of respiratory therapy and modification of therapy as clinical condition changes. Engages physicians/providers in improving processes, workflow and EMR related concerns.
Assists physicians/providers on issues related to patient care and safety.
Reviews physician/providers satisfaction results and collaborates with manager/director to execute improvement plans.
Miscellaneous – Fulfills additional job-related duties based on operational needs as directed by the manager and/or the director.
Actively participates in meetings, committees and projects.
Keeps abreast of current clinical standards via literature, educational events and internal and external resources and networking.
Participates in activities to enhance professional growth.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors and utilizes security systems to maintain common operating picture of the enterprise. Uses advanced technology systems in the SOC for situational awareness, threat management, and investigative purposes. Monitors risks that could adversely impact the organization using internal and external systems (internet, newsfeeds, and other data sources). Monitors and utilizes the security management system, CCTV, visitor management, infant protection, burglar alarm, fire alarm, and related systems to detect emergencies such as fires, emergencies, or criminal activity. Maintains status and locations of on-duty Public Safety/Security personnel. Monitors and dispatches Public Safety/Security staff activity and assignments via radio systems and computer-aided dispatch systems. Maintains automated logs of Public Safety/Security staff communications and activity.
Responds to Security, Fire, and Safety service requests, incidents, and alarms. Receives emergency and non-emergency calls from team members, public, Public Safety/Security staff, law enforcement, and others via telephone, radio, and computer-aided dispatch systems and inputs pertinent data into security management systems. Evaluates incoming information. Questions callers to determine their location and the nature of their problem. Follows established procedures to determine the severity and validity of the call or alarm. Prioritizes calls and dispatches Public Safety personnel and/or others.
Communicates effectively in routine, urgent, and emergency situations. Maintains central database information to facilitate efficient operations and continuously update organizational data. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
The AAH Security Operations Center provides security monitoring and dispatch to the Advocate Aurora enterprise on a 24/7/365 basis. Public Safety Telecommunicators must be willing to work in a 24/7 operation.
Incumbents function in a stressful, fast paced environment and work shifts are specified by department need and management direction. The shifts may include nights, weekends, holidays, as well as mandatory overtime as required. Sitting is required for extended periods at a workstation wearing communications equipment, which limits mobility, except for scheduled work breaks.
Work is performed onsite in a secured, controlled, closely supervised, and highly structured work environment.
Work requires visual and muscular dexterity to operate communications equipment (computer-aided dispatch equipment, telephones, and radios).
Constant use of eyes (correctable vision to normal level required) to observe, read, interact with public and co-workers, view security monitors; includes hand/eye coordination.

Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
Certification / Registration / License
- Basic Life Support (BLS). Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required based on specialty.
- Active registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services
