Where You Will Work:
The Medical/Surgical Unit is a 36-bed, patient-centered inpatient unit within a small community hospital, caring for adult patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Nurses on this unit provide comprehensive care for patients recovering from illness, surgery, infection, exacerbation of chronic disease, and other general medical needs. The unit also offers Virtual Critical Care support for IMC-level patients, helping nurses deliver safe, well-supported care for patients with higher acuity needs. With dedicated charge nurses, a visible, available, and approachable management team, and a strong team-oriented culture, this role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment where collaboration, mutual respect, and shared commitment to excellent patient care are part of everyday practice. Team members build strong relationships with patients, families, and one another while delivering high-quality care close to home in a community hospital setting.
Expectations We’re Looking For:
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Strong assessment, prioritization, patient education and interdisciplinary communication skills required.
- Previous med/surg or acute care nursing experience preferred
What You’ll Do:
• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
About This Location:
