We are seeking a compassionate *Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)* to join our *in-house therapy team* and help residents improve communication, cognition, swallowing safety, independence, and quality of life.
*CCC-SLPs and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply.*

As an SLP, you will help residents:
* Improve speech, language, voice, and functional communication
* Strengthen memory, attention, problem-solving, sequencing, and safety awareness
* Improve swallowing function and mealtime safety
* Reduce the risk of aspiration, dehydration, and malnutrition
* Use compensatory strategies and communication supports more effectively
* Communicate needs, preferences, and concerns with greater independence
* Maintain meaningful cognitive-communication abilities as they age
You will complete evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, provide skilled interventions, educate residents and caregivers, and collaborate with nursing, dietary, PT, OT, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team.
*What We’re Looking For*
* Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
* Current *ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)* or eligibility to complete a *Clinical Fellowship Year*
* Current *South Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist license* or eligibility for provisional licensure
* Current CPR certification
* Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A compassionate, resident-centered approach
* Ability to work effectively with geriatric and medically complex populations
Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, dysphagia management, or geriatrics is preferred.

Responsibilities
The Speech-Language Pathologist will:
Evaluate children with speech, language, communication, and feeding-related
needs within the SLP's scope of practice.
Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals.
Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy.
Complete evaluations, progress reports, treatment notes, and other required
documentation.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
Educate and collaborate with parents and caregivers.
Work collaboratively with OTs, PTs, BCBAs, RBTs, physicians, schools, and other
professionals involved in the child's care.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Follow professional, ethical, HIPAA, payer, and facility requirements.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
and Disorders from an accredited program.
Current or eligible Florida Speech-Language Pathologist licensure.
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
Pediatric experience preferred.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary pediatric team.

*Position Overview *
As a Contract SLP or CF, you will manage your clinical schedule while utilizing our fully equipped pediatric clinic space. You will provide high-quality screenings, diagnostic evaluations, and direct therapeutic interventions to an inherently rewarding pediatric population, ranging from early intervention through adolescence. For Clinical Fellows, dedicated, high-quality ASHA-compliant CF supervision and mentorship will be provided.
*Key Responsibilities *
Evaluations: *Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations using standardized tools.*
Therapy Delivery: *Design and implement creative, play-based individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique goals.*
Caregiver Coaching: *Provide actionable feedback and home strategies to families to ensure carryover.*
Documentation: *Maintain, timely, and compliant daily notes and evaluation reports via our electronic medical records (EMR) system.*
Travel: *Intervention at our office space or a nearby home, classroom or clinic setting. Reimbursement for travel will be considered.*
*Qualifications & Requirements *
Education: *Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.*
Certification/Track: *Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) *OR *eligibility to begin a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).*
Licensure: *Valid license or a valid Temporary License (for CFs) from the North Carolina Board of Examiners for SLP and Audiology.*
Experience: *Strong background or clinical placements working with pediatric populations; experience with diverse diagnoses (e.g., ASD, articulation, expressive/receptive delays, AAC) is highly preferred.*

Summary:
MaineHealth is seeking an experienced and dynamic Speech and Language Pathologist with OP feeding experience to join our innovative new pediatric feeding team. The SLP in this role will be working with our most fragile pediatric patients in partnership with our growing multidisciplinary Complex Care program. Our department operates as a system department and provides services to Acute Care, Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility and Outpatient settings across four campuses. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Speech Language Pathologistevaluates, plans, and provides treatment and rehabilitation as prescribed by a referring physician. Works with family and team members regarding patient’s abilities and goals.

*Speech-Language Pathologist Responsibilities:*
* Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations on children ages 0-18.
* Analyze, interpret, and document evaluation results.
* Develop patient care plan with short and long-term goals.

The Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) provides comprehensive speech and language services to students at Oak Hill School under the supervision of speech-language pathologist (SLP).
Job Objective/Purpose
Provide direct treatment assistance to students under the supervision of a speech-language pathologist.
