Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the Job
Participates in the assessment, administration, and evaluation of respiratory therapy treatments, pulmonary function testing, performs extubations, airway management and ventilatory life support to critical adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
Participates with other health care professionals in obtaining, interpreting and evaluating pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gases, airway management and respiratory treatments
Provides instruction to patients in the use of respiratory therapy equipment, inhalation gases and other therapies related to the treatment of respiratory diseases and/or the promotion of respiratory wellness
Other Functions
Responsible for the cleaning, care and maintenance of all equipment used in the delivery of respiratory treatments and pulmonary function testing
Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.
Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required
Equivalent to graduation from high school and successful completion of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy.
Credentialed by the NBRC as a Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist at time of hire.
Respiratory Therapy license from any state
High school diploma or GED
Basic Life Support
ACLS & PALS required within 3 months of hire
Clinical Competency required within 3 months of hire and every three years
High Risk Competency required within 3 months of hire and every year
Experience Required
Two years’ experience as a certified Respiratory Therapist preferred.
Knowledge of
Respiratory care modalities for adults, pediatrics, and neonatal patients
Skills in
Use of mechanical ventilators skillfully and offers alternative solutions; cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Ability to
Accurately interpret arterial blood gases; use of mechanical ventilators; work alone/unsupervised
Work under adverse conditions such as communicable infectious diseases
Travel Required
Up to 25% travel expected.

DESCRIPTION
Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) provide direct resident care, which includes monitoring residents' vital signs, administering medications and treatments, and assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating. LPNs also document residents' progress, communicate with families and other healthcare professionals, and ensure residents' comfort and safety. LPNs often act as a bridge between residents and the care team, advocating for residents' needs and providing emotional support. LPNs must be compassionate, detail-oriented, and capable of handling a wide range of medical and personal care tasks to promote residents' well-being.
FUNCTIONS
Report changes in the resident’s condition to the physician, Care Coordinator, and family on a timely basis. Document any changes to the resident’s medical record and communicate them to the next shift.
Document accurately and concisely
Collaborate effectively with all other disciplines in meeting the needs of the residents.
Directs the ongoing care of the residents daily during the assigned shift.
Supervises and/or delegates appropriately to the LPN medication/treatment nurse, CMAs, CNA, and Health Unit Coordinators (HUCs).
Assesses the condition of the resident accurately and collaborates with the RN and Care Coordinator as indicated.
Physically and mentally responds to emergency situations; able to initiate and delegate CPR.
Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and assesses the effectiveness of these.
Effectively handles and reports emergencies, accidents, incidents, and complaints.
Accurately receives, interprets, and transcribes Physician orders.

At True North Dentistry of Bel Air, our mission is to build lifetime patient relationships by providing outstanding, compassionate dental care in a welcoming and comfortable environment. At least one year of private practice experience preferred but not required. Current Maryland hygiene license, radiology license, and CPR certification required. Supervision: Provide appropriate guidance and supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.

Qualifications:

The DVM will also demonstrate and supervise examinations on a variety of animals to diagnose their health needs and to ensure their long-term health. These activities could include treating animals for medical conditions, treating and dressing wounds, performing surgery on animals, testing for and vaccinating against diseases, and as part of this process, utilizing all applicable medical equipment. Finally, the DVM will assist with creating and implementing programmatic accreditation policies and procedures, including the Essential and Recommended Skills List. The DVM will assist with the acquisition of members and yearly meetings of the Program Advisory Committee (PAC) and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) committee.
*Requirements:*
1) DVM must have a minimum of five years of related practical work experience as a licensed and practicing Veterinarian in the state where the Veterinary Technician program is located.
2) Current, valid license in good standing as a Veterinarian in the state where the Veterinary Technician program is located.
3) Faculty members for the Veterinary program must be a current registered and licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and have graduated from an AVMA accredited program. These individuals must meet the continuing education requirements as set by the Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board (OVMLB).
4) All incumbents must have the ability to express ideas in a clear, concise and motivating manner and employ effective questioning techniques to encourage students to pursue their own answers. They must have the ability and organizational skills necessary to maintain an accurate tracking system and be able to establish a disciplined learning environment.
