Work Schedule: part-time, 20 hours per week.
This position is responsible for performing Computerized Tomography imaging studies while providing a quality healthcare service that includes total patient care in a comfortable, friendly environment. Excellent communication skills are essential to this position due to required continuous interaction with public and professional/medical personnel.
Responsible for participation in departmental and hospital programs for Quality Assessment and Improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services, making recommendations and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with the goals of Nemours.
Responsible for working knowledge and operation of Siemens SOMATOM Dual Energy Flash, Siemens Edge with Biopsy functions, and post processing workstations.
Knowledge of routine computerized tomography imaging protocols along with performing patient examinations by protocol by designated radiologist.
Provides accurate room preparation and instructions to patient/family according to the procedure and physically prepares the patient for examination which includes explaining the imaging procedure and answers pertinent procedural questions.
Responsible for the preparation, administration and documentation of contrast media per departmental protocols under the direct supervision of a radiologist/physician. Observes patient for allergic reaction after administration of contrast.
Responsible for screening of patients to be imaged for contraindications that may be hazardous to their health or to the safety of others.
Assists radiologists by evaluating patients and obtaining written screening for administration of contrast media. Start IV's and injects contrast material for imaging studies.
Maintains work habits consistent with hospital and department policies, reports unsafe conditions and incidents to the immediate supervisor and demonstrates safe work habits. Operates hospital computer systems for patient data entry and retrieval/order entry and completion of study.
Determine proper radiation exposure factors for CT to minimize patient dose according to protocols set by the radiologist. Ensures proper function of equipment by proper usage and maintenance.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care with respect to the appropriate specific chronological age, development age or social maturity of the patient.
Must have the ability to work well with others and have good communication skills. Aids in the training of new personnel, students and physicians.
Regular attendance is required and this position is considered essential for purposes of staffing during severe weather emergencies and other natural disasters.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, must have reliable transportation, and must be able to work on an on-call basis.
Job Requirements
Specialized (1 year of training beyond high school) required.
Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year prior CT experience required.
State of Delaware Radiology Technologist License required within 90 days of employment.
ARRT/ Radiographer and CT certified or CT post primary Board Certified within 18 months of employment.
American Heart Association BLS Certification required.

As a pharmacist on this team, you will play a key role in shaping safe, evidence‑based medication use across high‑acuity and fast‑paced clinical environments.
The Role
The Pediatric ED Clinical Pharmacy Specialist provides advanced, comprehensive pharmaceutical care to children and adolescents presenting with a wide range of acute and complex conditions. This role is deeply embedded within the multidisciplinary care team, working side‑by‑side with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and pharmacy colleagues.
You will serve as a subject matter expert and real‑time resource for medication management in the emergency setting, contributing directly to patient safety, clinical decision‑making, and optimized therapeutic outcomes.
In addition to direct patient care, this specialist leads and participates in policy development, medication safety initiatives, quality improvement efforts, and education of pharmacy learners and healthcare professionals across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care & Emergency Response
Review, verify, and interpret medication orders for clinical appropriateness, therapeutic goals, safety, contraindications, interactions, and disease‑specific considerations.
Participate actively in medical emergencies, including code responses, providing expert medication preparation, dosing, and recommendations in real time.
Ensure continuity of pharmaceutical care across acute and ambulatory settings by:

Clinical Standards, Safety & Quality

Support accreditation and regulatory compliance through ongoing quality assurance and performance monitoring.

Education & Leadership
Precept pharmacy students and residents; contribute to departmental and institutional educational programming.

The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist provides advanced, comprehensive pharmaceutical care to children and adolescents with hematologic and oncologic conditions in the ambulatory setting. Essential Functions:
Review and interpret medication orders; assess for clinical appropriateness, therapeutic goals, adverse effects, contraindications, interactions, and disease ‑ specific considerations.
Evaluate, monitor, and modify drug therapy for pediatric hematology/oncology patients, including chemotherapy and supportive care.
Provide comprehensive medication counseling for patients and families, including oral chemotherapy education and adherence support.
Serve as the clinical liaison between the pediatric oncology practice and the Specialty Pharmacy, collaborating with pharmacy staff and support teams to ensure timely medication access and continuity of care
Advance standardized, evidence‑based care by developing and updating clinical guidelines, pathways, and EMR‑based decision support.
Participate in drug therapy consults and pediatric oncology clinical research protocols as needed.

The Nemours Cardiac Center (NCC) provides comprehensive care for infants, children, and adolescents with cardiac, thoracic, and vascular disease. The Cardiac Center provides patient care, performs research, educates and trains health care professionals in a variety of settings.
This individual will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other health care providers, dedicating his/her specialized practice to cardiac patients located in either the cardiac intensive care unit, on our telemetry floor or in our post anesthesia cardiac unit (cardiac PACU). The APRN or PA will also be involved with cardiac babies delivered on site in our advanced delivery unit.
Our patient population ranges from newborns to young adults with congenital or acquired heart disease. Our surgeons perform all of the complex cardiac repairs, including definitive neonatal surgery, adult congenital surgery, and heart transplantation. They utilize all forms of mechanical support (VAD's, ECMO, ECLS) as an adjunct to our very active heart failure and pulmonary hypertension service.
This position will include working some night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Essential Responsibilities:
Obtain medical histories, perform physical exams, order and interpret laboratory data, and prescribe management and medications on patients admitted to our inpatient service.
Present patients on rounds, write daily progress notes, collate inpatient records, and complete discharge summaries using the electronic medical record.
Assist in the preoperative and postoperative care of surgical patients.
Provide continuity of care when coordinating care with other members of the health care team.
Attend and present departmental patient care conferences and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Interact with families of our patients, embracing a family centered focus.

Primary function of the lead medical laboratory scientist is the performance of a variety of analytical procedures of moderate to high complexity, using manual and automated methods, and through a variety of clinical laboratory methodologies. In this function, the lead must be able to perform and provide oversight of all required calibration, quality control, statistical calculations and other process control and mathematical functions. Associate must also be able to understand and educate on concepts such as linearity, and standard deviation, as it applies to the performance of analytical testing in a clinical laboratory.
Routinely performs a range of clinical analysis in the molecular department by properly utilizing a variety of methodologies and instrumentation according to laboratory policies and procedures and in accordance with all regulatory agency requirements.
Assists in the development and/or takes the lead in the validation of various complex tests for implementation in all sections of the laboratory. Helps with administrative duties including writing and maintaining procedures, assigning, and completing proficiency testing, and maintaining supply inventory as needed.
Orders, accessions, statuses, and reports results of tests performed on patient specimens, monitoring a variety of critical clinical issues, such as patient identifiers, specimen quality, order appropriateness, etc. In this function, the lead must be able to read and understand a variety of written material such as specimen requisitions, worksheets, patient identification, specimen requirements, etc., whether performing this task manually (e.g., on paper) or using an information system. Must be able to check and verify information such as patient identification, lot numbers, expiration dates, etc., and act appropriately. Monitors pending logs regularly to provide rapid turnaround time.
Operates, calibrates, and performs troubleshooting and maintenance on laboratory equipment following established procedures, and as assigned by supervisor. Must be able to take responsibility for laboratory equipment performance, as demonstrated by interactions with technical representatives for instrument maintenance, both preventive and repair; must be able to successfully perform start-up and shutdown of complex analytical equipment. Recognizes need for additional Quality Control, maintenance, or specimens prior to releasing test results.
If specifically trained and assigned to specimen collection, processing, and handling section , collects or assists with specimens from patients or others in special procedures (e.g., assisting physicians at bone marrow aspirate collections). Such collections may take place in a variety of environments. Such collections may require entering patient isolation rooms, whereby, associate must follow appropriate infection control procedures.
Transport and handles specimens as assigned, (e.g., delivery following appropriate procedures.
Handles supply and inventory issues as required/assigned, identifying key technical parameters, such as lot numbers, storage requirements, etc. as required for performance of laboratory procedures. Follows laboratory section inventory procedures (e.g., recording date received, condition when received, checking order forms, invoices, etc.) Retrieves supplies and equipment from storage areas as needed. Places orders for reagents and supplies as directed.
Answers telephone as assigned; in this function, interacts routinely with a variety of individuals, including physicians, and other clinical staff, patients and their families, inspectors, vendors, etc. Must be able to demonstrate good customer service, for example, answering telephone promptly, referring calls appropriately, calling critical results, etc.

This position works closely with the Medical staff, Nursing staff, and Pharmacy staff to develop and maintain services that utilize the pharmacist's drug knowledge base to improve patient care, reduce cost, reduce medication errors, and improve efficiencies. There is also an expectation to enhance pharmacy students' professional experiences and serve as a mentor for pharmacy interns and externs and pharmacy residents.
Essential Functions:
Evaluates medication orders for accuracy using sound principles, accounting for pharmacology of the drug, pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic variations in drug absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination with responsibility for establishing and continually improving the delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients within areas of direct responsibility and assisting others in the department with the same.
Consults, educates, and works cooperatively with internal customers (e.g., members of the pharmacy staff, medical staff, clinical staff, research staff, nursing staff, and informatics staff) concerning information on medications, therapeutic evaluations, and drug protocols. Develops and provides drug information material. Meets and/or coordinates with medical and/or personnel to resolve problems related to Clinical Pharmacy Services.
Provide specialized pharmaceutical services to improve drug usage and therapeutic outcomes including advising physicians and practitioners on issues concerning drug therapy in both the hospital and clinic settings, the inherent toxicity of drugs, drug-drug, drug-food interactions & side effects, as well as assisting in the prescribing of appropriate doses.
Develops quality improvement projects and participates in the quality improvement and medication use review activities of the department. Collects data; monitors processes; maintain logs, records, and other documentation as assigned.
Provides clinical support for multidisciplinary committees, including the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, through the development of materials to support clinical evaluation of drugs, procedures, and processes including the coordination and reporting of adverse drug reaction reporting, pharmacist interventions and other quality initiatives, within areas of direct responsibility. Promotes the use of the NCHD drug formulary by converting non-formulary orders to formulary alternatives when clinically appropriate. Coordinates procurement of non-formulary drugs when necessary.
Provides oversight for the accuracy of the online Lexi-comp drug information resource. Promotes the use of the NCHD drug formulary by converting non-formulary orders to formulary when possible and coordinates procurement of non-formulary dugs when necessary.
Supports clinical staff pharmacist education and training associated with core competencies and performance review.
Participates in policy, procedure, and order set development for the pediatric population.
Mentors pharmacists-in-training, including but not limited to Pharmacy Practice Residents, Pharmacy Interns, and School of Pharmacy clerkship students; activities include both practical and didactic experiences.
Facilitates orientations and educational programs for the medical staff and residents regarding the appropriate utilization of Pharmacy Services.
Able to maintain punctual attendance consistent with NCHD policies, regulatory, and federal, state, and local standards.
Achieve certifications, such as Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and other required competencies.
Job Requirements
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
PharmD with PGY-1 residency or 5 years pediatric hospital experience required.
PGY-2 specialized residency training in pediatrics preferred.
Hospital Pharmacy experience required. (Pediatric Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred).
Active Pharmacist License (or legally eligible) in States of Delaware, New Jersey & Pennsylvania required.
Board Certification in specialties applicable to the position (BCPPS, BCIDP, BCNSP, BCOP, etc..) is required. Associates hired without active certification must obtain it within 12 months of eligibility.
American Heart Association BLS and PALS required upon hire. ACLS preferred.
