Discover Recovery is the Peninsula’s leading provider of addiction care. Our services include a full continuum of care from inpatient detox to residential treatment. The Physician’s Assistant (PA) is responsible for the assessment of selected patients in the designated service. The PA performs physical examinations, confers with patients in person and by phone/electronically, collaborates with others in the department to assure smooth flow of patient care consistent with established quality indicators and participates in the overall coordination of patient care. The P.A reports to the Executive Director and Medical Director.
This position is 3 days a week onsite. Schedule is flexible.
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
* Minimum of six (6) months of experience as a Physician’s Assistant. See job duties for specific experience requirements for specialty services.
* One (1) year (within the past three (3) years) PA experience as a PA providing specialized care for persons with drug and/or alcohol dependency including withdrawal intervention.
* Completion of a Master’s Program in Adult PA, Family Practice PA or Psych/Mental Health PA required.
* Current BLS required.
* Must have an NPI.
* Current DEA if required for specialty.
* Depending on the particular specialty, ACLS and/or NALS and/or PALS or PEARS may also be required for the position.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*
* Practices under the standard procedure established for the PA role consistent with Discover Recovery policy and in accordance with requirement set forth by Washington State
* Conducts age appropriate assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examination consistent with department protocol.
* Performs assessment/data collection in an on-going systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and cognitive status, patient/family education, family involvement, and patient advocacy.
* Consults with other clinicians as dictated by patient need and assessment findings.
* Participates with physicians and other clinicians in the department to assure effective patient care consistent with quality indicators for patients cared for in the designated service.
* Reviews medical record for follow up or ordering of diagnostic studies under established protocols
* Demonstrates organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload
* Ensure timely appointments for H&Ps meeting WAC requirements.
* Establishes and maintains communication with clinical departments to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness and to promote consistency and continuity of care.
* Establishes effective working relationships with members of the health care team, patients, and families.
* Acknowledges staff rights and cultural and ethical beliefs.
* Demonstrates knowledge of and applies safety principles as identified by the institution.
* Performs efficiently in emergency situations following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons, and documenting events.
* Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for own professional practice.
* Participates regularly in staff development activities for unit and department personnel.
* Demonstrates knowledge of legal issues, including patient confidentiality and risk management in all aspects of patient care and unit functioning.
* Participates in unit and department Performance Improvement activities.
* Identifies and solves problems effectively.
* Demonstrates a service philosophy in all interactions with patients, families, and all members of the health care team
* Demonstrates proficiency in the use of computers and telecommunication modalities to document, track and convey information.
* Orientate new employees to ensure that patients are safely administering their own medications, and documenting accurately, ensuring the 5 rights of patient medication self-administration, including patient response to prn medications after each dose.

Responsibilities:
The diagnostic medical Sonographer provides diagnostic ultrasound for patients in the Maternal Fetal Medicine setting. The diagnostic medical Sonographer works independently and with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to pregnant women. They work closely with perinatologists, providing preliminary reports and assisting with procedures. Provide a brief description of the job’s primary purpose and responsibility within the organization.
Perform detailed fetal anatomical surveys, including twins and triplets. Acquires anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician.
Assists physicians with procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
Accurately documents exam findings, measurements, images, and procedural details in the ultrasound reporting and image archiving systems.
Records patient history, indications, and pertinent observations in accordance with departmental protocols and regulatory standards.
Generates clear, comprehensive preliminary reports for interpreting physician review, and final signature.
Reviews completed studies with interpreting physicians to communicate findings, address questions, and support diagnostic accuracy.
Ensures documentation is complete, timely, and compliant with organizational policies, accreditation requirements, and patient safety standards
Selects and assigns appropriate exam types, procedures, and indication (diagnosis) codes based on services performed, clinical documentation, and provider orders to support accurate reporting, interpretation, and billing.
Escorts patients and accompanying family members to and from the examination room in a courteous and professional manner.
Prepares patients for ultrasound examinations by verifying identity, reviewing relevant history, and ensuring comfort and privacy.
Explains complex procedures and examinations to patients and family.
Provides reassurance and clear communication throughout the exam to support patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction
Ensures the appropriate consent and/or declinations are obtained.
Maintains proper operation of the ultrasound equipment. Recognizes equipment malfunctions and takes appropriate corrective action.
Maintains laundry for examination rooms.
Responsible for maintaining adequate inventory of ultrasound supplies
Follows the accredited laboratory protocols for obtaining two-dimensional images, color flow, Doppler, and m-mode where applicable.
Follows and complies with universal precautions and OSHA standards. Follows and complies with safety and security training.
Rotates to other locations as needed to cover Sonographer absences.
Performs related and other assigned duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
Satisfactory completion of one of the following; graduate of an accredited sonography program with a degree in ultrasonography or equivalent, at least two (2) years in Allied Health Educational Program and one (1) year on-the-job- training in ultrasonography, or graduate from an accredited sonography program with a degree in ultrasonography or equivalent
Maintain or be eligible for certification as an American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS).
ARDMS OB/GYN or Fetal Echo (FE) certified or eligible to obtain within 12 months of hire.
Must provide evidence of continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements.
NT experience or certification preferred.
CPR certification preferred

POSITION SUMMARY
The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive primary health care, including emergency treatment, patient counseling, education, and referral, as necessary to ancillary and support services.

Assists in the supervision of clinical Health Center Lab Technician/Aid, RN, LPN, and other clinical staff as appropriate.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides comprehensive primary care through diagnosis, clinical judgment, and management to restore, maintain, and improve health status in accordance with practice policies. This includes:
Assessment of patient, emotional development status of individual and family.
Analysis of health behavior related to personality, life style, and culture.
Prescriptive treatment for health problems defined by the Nurse Practice Act.
Counseling and client advocacy.
Performs assessment of the environmental status of the community and its impact on health.
Provides health education to patients, clinical support staff (CSS), and community organizations, including preventive/corrective counseling for noted unhealthy behaviors.
Awareness/acceptance of cultural competency aspect and sensitivity.
In coordination with other Health Center staff, develops, and conducts bi-annual review and revisions of the written clinical protocols governing the healthcare services that the Health Center provides.
Works in collaboration and/or coordination with other health care providers within the Health Center team and/or community agencies to provide comprehensive patient care, in accordance with the written Health Center policies.
Assists in maintaining the quality of care in accordance with the continuous quality improvement (CQI) plan.
Participates in program and service delivery planning, implementation, and evaluation, relating to health care services and Health Center functions.
Participates in professional and related community organizational meetings and activities.
Participates in continuing education program designed by the Nurse Practitioner.
Participates in staff meetings, conferences and in-service training, continuing education for Health Center staff members.
Assures adequate patient health records are maintained and transferred as required when patients are referred.
Responsible for learning and using the DSHC electronic health records (EHR) system following heath center policies.
Responsible for following and supporting HIPAA, OSHA, and corporate compliance policies and regulations.
Familiarity/adoption of Meaningful Use (MU) criteria, completing accurate charting, data collection, orders/tracking/flowsheet/template documentation, and adoption of the PCMH model of care, including standard elements and factors.
Participates as required in on-call coverage of after-hours health care services.
Follows and implements fiscal year health care plan objectives.
Knowledge/oversight of Health Center operations, including crash cart, pharmaceuticals, lab and x-ray
Participates in clinical nursing research and application of research to nursing practice.
Maintains strict confidence on information gained in the clinical practice of the position.
Works closely with the EMTs in emergencies, using ACLS guidelines, when cases are presented to the Health Center by the EMTs or instances when EMTs have been called by the Nurse Practitioner.
Participates in the prescription drug control policies and prescribes according to state rules and regulations.
Merit increases will be based on random monthly or quarterly outcome reviews to evaluate productivity, and patient satisfaction. Ability to meet PCMH standards/MU criteria and outstanding performance over and above the job description.
Performs all other duties as assigned. Ability and transportation to rotate between three (3) health center locations as scheduled.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
MSN degree from accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.

General Description: Responsible for providing a wide range of mental health services to families with children that have emotional disturbances requiring intensive intervention using family and group treatment methods.

Experience in clinical sleep medicine preferred but that shouldn't be viewed as an obstacle to employment. Our board certified sleep specialist Medical Director and our other sleep specialist clinicians will provide on the job training.
We operate in a modern, state of the art, sleep facility accredited by AASM (American Academy of Sleep Medicine). The clinic schedule is generally 8:30a-5p Monday - Friday, with last patients seen generally at 3:30pm. We offer in-clinic and telemedicine visits to patients, as well as home sleep apnea testing and in-lab sleep tests.
This is an established (28 years) and positive workplace with management, providers, and staff who continuously strives to provide the best care and to keep patients happy and healthy. We run a busy clinic with providers that like to stay productive. This means that our providers have great earning potential. Total compensation, including pay and benefits, is very competitive. Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work from an accredited school
Current WV licensure in the respective fields (LPC, LICSW or higher)

Oversight, review, and approval of assigned therapist/staff clinical documentation to assure both quality of services provided and compliance with Medicaid standards.
Participate in Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement processes including client chart reviews, implementation of corrective action clinical measures (i.e, training).
Provide clinical supervision for therapists/staff pursuing their professional clinical license, as permitted by licensing body
Act as the clinical expert at each site. Will conduct site intakes/admissions to best match the needs of the client with the strengths of the therapist. If Clinical Supervisor is not available to schedule or conduct intake, they will oversee the assignment of each referral.
Attend bi-weekly the Site Leadership Meeting with Director of Wellspring Family Services.
Schedule and facilitate weekly staff meetings
Responsible for taking appropriate action, in coordination with Director of Wellspring Family Services, and HR, regarding disciplinary action.
Complete yearly staff performance evaluations in collaboration with Community Outreach Supervisor and 90-day reviews of new staff.
Maintain a consistent caseload, which shall be determined individually according to each site’s specific needs and circumstances
Attend treatment plans in person/telehealth depending on diagnosis of client and/or review treatment plans acting as the credentialed LPC/LICSW (as determined by the Director).
Complete and submit to the Director of Wellspring any travel vouchers, time sheets, requests for time off.
Must possess current certifications for all core trainings (CPR, CPI, First Aid) and attend a minimum of 4 agency trainings through the continuing education program.
Maintain professional credentials as required by the respective State licensing boards and provide proof of licensure and completion of CEUS yearly.
Maintain credentialing in at least one insurance network to promote fiscal diversity at the site.
Salary: $57,000 to $68,000 (based upon licensure and experience)+ $7,500 Sign-On Bonus!
