*Advanced Medicine | Surgery | Emergency & ICU | Urgent Care*
*Catskill Veterinary Services — Rock Hill, NY*
*$30–$45+ per hour | Full-Time or Part-Time*
Come Practice the Kind of Veterinary Medicine You Became an LVT to Practice.
You worked hard for your license. *We want you to use it.*
Catskill Veterinary Services is looking for talented, motivated *Licensed Veterinary Technicians* who want to practice high-level medicine, continue developing their skills, and be part of something that is growing.
And we're about to take a very big step forward.
*On November 1, 2026, Catskill Veterinary Services is opening our new 15,000-square-foot veterinary medical center in Rock Hill, NY.*
This isn't simply a bigger building. It represents what we're working toward as an independently owned veterinary practice: bringing advanced diagnostics, surgery, emergency and critical care, internal medicine, dentistry, exotics, and increasingly sophisticated veterinary care to our region—while continuing to invest in the people who make that medicine possible.
A Different Approach to Recruiting—and Retaining—Great People
We want to be transparent from the beginning:
*We do not offer sign-on bonuses. That is intentional.*
We know that some veterinary hospitals are offering substantial signing bonuses to attract technicians. We have chosen a different approach.
We don't believe a one-time payment is what should convince someone to join a hospital—or what should make them stay.
*We would rather invest those resources into building a workplace worth staying for.*
That means competitive ongoing compensation, benefits, continuing education, professional development, modern equipment, advanced medical capabilities, opportunities for advancement, and investment in the team you will work alongside every day.
Catskill Veterinary Services is independently owned and operated. The veterinarians who own the practice work alongside our team, see patients, perform surgery, manage emergencies, and experience the same challenging days as everyone else.
We're investing heavily in our future—including our new hospital, advanced technology, education, training, leadership development, and expanded clinical capabilities.
*We want you to choose Catskill Veterinary Services because you believe in the medicine we're practicing, the team we're building, and where we're going together—not because of a check handed to you on your first day.*
If that philosophy resonates with you, keep reading.
Your License Should Mean Something Here.
Our LVTs are an integral part of the medical team—not simply an extra set of hands.
Depending on your experience and interests, you'll have opportunities to work with:
* Advanced anesthesia and multimodal patient monitoring
* Emergency and critical care patients
* ICU and hospitalized patient management
* Advanced surgical procedures
* Dentistry and dental imaging
* CT and advanced diagnostic imaging
* Fluid therapy and CRI management
* Venous access, blood collection, and laboratory diagnostics
* Urgent and emergency triage
* Exotic and nontraditional species
* Advanced medical cases and procedures
We want technicians who enjoy using their skills—and we want to help you develop the skills you haven't mastered yet.
*You don't need to know everything on day one. You need to want to keep learning.*
Our New Hospital — Opening November 1, 2026
You'll be joining our team at one of the most exciting points in our history as we transition into a purpose-built *15,000-square-foot veterinary medical center* featuring:
* Dedicated ICU and critical care areas
* Trauma and triage suite
* Multiple operating rooms
* Dedicated feline and exotic patient areas
* Advanced dentistry suite
* Internal medicine and advanced diagnostic capabilities
* *64-slice CT*
* Fluoroscopy and advanced imaging
* Expanded emergency and urgent care capabilities
* Significantly expanded treatment and hospitalization space
We're not simply looking for people to fill positions in a new building.
*We're looking for people who want to help us build the team that will define it.*
Who We're Looking For
You must hold an *active New York State LVT license*.
Beyond that, we're looking for people who:
* Take pride in practicing excellent medicine
* Want to continue developing clinically
* Communicate effectively with doctors, teammates, and clients
* Take ownership of their responsibilities
* Support the people working beside them
* Can adapt when medicine doesn't go according to plan
* Want to contribute ideas rather than simply follow a checklist
* Care deeply about the patient in front of them
Experience in *emergency medicine, ICU, anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, or advanced patient care* is highly valued.
Experience with exotics, equine, or farm animal medicine is also a plus.
But just as importantly, we're looking for the right mindset.
Compensation
*$30–$45+ per hour*
Compensation is based on experience, technical proficiency, clinical capabilities, leadership skills, and the responsibilities you are prepared to take on.
Highly experienced LVTs with advanced skills in areas such as *anesthesia, surgery, emergency medicine, ICU/critical care, dentistry, or specialty-level patient care may qualify for compensation above the listed range.*
We recognize that an experienced LVT brings tremendous value to a veterinary hospital, and compensation should reflect that value *every paycheck—not just when you sign your offer letter.*
Benefits & Support
Our benefits include:
* Health insurance with employer contribution
* 401(k) with employer match
* Paid time off and sick leave
* Paid holidays
* Continuing education support and CE allowance
* Professional license reimbursement
* Tuition reimbursement opportunities
* Employee pet care benefits
* Flexible scheduling options
* Uniform allowance
* Paid parental leave
* Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
* Employee referral bonuses
* Professional development and advancement opportunities
Grow With Us.
Catskill Veterinary Services has grown because we're willing to take on difficult cases, figure things out, support one another, and keep raising the standard of medicine we can provide.
Our core values are straightforward:
*We Figure It Out.*
*We Show Up.*
*We Own It.*
And ultimately:
*We Do More.*
You may already be an experienced emergency or surgical technician looking for your next challenge.
You may be an LVT who feels underutilized in your current hospital.
You may be looking for a hospital where you can grow into leadership or develop advanced technical skills.
Or you may simply want to work somewhere that reminds you why you became a veterinary technician in the first place.
*If you're proud of being an LVT and want to see just how far your skills can take you, we want to hear from you.*
Apply through Indeed and tell us a little about yourself.
*Come see what we're building—and meet the people we're building it with.*
