Pay Range:
$33.05 - $49.60Essential Functions
- Reviews and completes pre-award financial activities for department approved clinical trials including but not limited to request/creation of Medicare Coverage Analysis, creation of internal cost budget following organizational policies and clinical trial billing regulations.
- Negotiates clinical trial budget and payment terms associated with clinical trial protocols and protocol amendments.
- Serves as a liaison between clinical teammates, investigators, sponsors/CROs, and Central Research Offices.
- Provides weekly updates on clinical trial budget & agreements in pre-activation phase and at time of receipt of protocol amendments.
- Gathers information from Clinical Trial protocol and/or agreement for execution of sub-contract with external vendors.
- Completes pre-award grants administration process in accordance with federal
- guidelines.
- Provides leadership to ensure effective and efficient grant & clinical trial budget development.
- Manages grant application process including completion of pre-submission
- documentation, preparation of accurate application package, approval of budget,
- coordination of submission to central office and funding agency, and tracking of
- final proposal.
- Resolves complex, sensitive, and other non-routine issues related to grant/Clinical Trial administration & contract negotiation.
- Gathers information from a variety of federal, state and private granting agencies.
- Interprets grant and contract requirements, funding agency guidelines and billing compliance requirements.
- Provides consultation and technical services to support faculty and team
- members in developing internal & external grant proposals that support the mission and
- goals.
- Prepares monthly monitoring reports for department to include upcoming
- proposal deadlines, report deadlines and other administrative renewals.
- Coordinates with the Office of Grants and Contracts/Sponsored Programs regarding grant requests from faculty and team members.
- Advises leadership/faculty of grant funding programs/opportunities. Reviews and disseminates information from sponsor's regarding deadlines.
- Ensures on-time submission of necessary documentation and monitors electronic
- submission processes. Maintains archives on submitted external proposals and
- contracts.
- Oversees establishment of new awards, reviews new grants and awards for
- compliance and requirements. Serves as a liaison between department and other
- units on all pre-award matters.
Physical Requirements
Requires periods of standing, sitting, walking, and some light lifting.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field required. 4 to 6years of directly related experience required. Clinical trials and ability to navigate/interpret clinical research protocols for translation into a budget preferred. Negotiation experience with industry Sponsors preferred.

0730-1600, Monday through Friday. This is a float pharmacist position covering six pharmacy locations throughout the Charlotte region, stretching from Concord, NC to Fort Mill, SC.
Pay Range:
$54.90 - $82.35Major Responsibilities:
Oversees pharmaceutical care, including retrieving and evaluating biomedical literature and designing medication therapy regimens
Uses effective patient education techniques to provide counseling to patients and caregivers, including information on medication therapy, adverse effects, compliance, appropriate use, handling, and medication administration
Designs, recommends, monitors, and evaluates patient specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens based on relevant biomedical literature. Implements recommendations effectively and utilizes policies and procedures and documents in the appropriate format.
Reviews and accurately interprets medication orders and prescriptions
Participates in the management of medical emergencies when applicable
Actively supports department medication safety and quality improvement activities, including the reporting of events through appropriate channels
Performs quality assurance and performance improvement of the medication use system as appropriate
Collaborates with the healthcare team to manage formulary adherence and the medication-use process. Assists in the acquisition of non-formulary, compassionate use, and investigational medications.
Practices in compliance with organization’s policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations
Prepares, dispenses, and oversees the proper storage and handling of medications in accordance with best practice, policies and state and federal regulations
Serves as preceptor for pharmacy students, residents, and healthcare learners as assigned
Mentors, orients, trains, and assists with the performance evaluation of pharmacy teammates, residents, and students as assigned
Directs and checks the accuracy of the work of pharmacy support team members in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures to ensure safe and efficient workflows, service standards, and regulatory compliance
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
Licensed in the state(s) of practice or eligible for reciprocity required
Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification required based on area of practice
Credentialing and privileging required based on area of practice
Education Required:
Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree in pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy required, or an FPGEC certificate from NABP
Experience Required:
No experience require, but prior hospital or infusion experience is preferred . Board of pharmacy licensure in NC and SC (if no SC license, will have six months from start date to obtain)

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

May be required to frequently stretch, bend, squat, or kneel to perform job

Essential Functions:
Coordinates the repair of instruments with appropriate vendor and maintains a log for tracking items set off-site.
Coordinates the maintenance of instrument sets by assessing surgical case schedule and deducing which instruments can be removed from circulation.
Coordinates the procurement of and return of loaner, vendor, and/or trial instrument sets.
Orders new and replacement supplies and instruments based on inventory, par levels, iShare requests, and at the direction of the Manager of Sterile Processing while striving to adhere to departmental budgets.
Assists with resolving product and/or instrument recalls as quickly as possible to promote patient care.
Maintains the department's instrument tracking system by entering new instruments into system and building count sheets.
Collaborates with SPD Liaisons to ensure sets are available and complete.
Uses excellent communication skills when discussing instrument availability with SPD Supervisors, SPD Liaisons, and/or OR Clinical Coordinators.
Expert in all aspects of the sterile processing cycle and ability to provide guidance and education to SPD.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assumes responsibility and works with nursing leadership to allocate staffing resources to meet patient care needs and department activities.
- Ensures, the minimum nursing hours per patient are met in accordance with applicable state *Regulation 10A NCAC 13B.5408 COMPREHENSIVE INPATIENT REHABILITATION PROGRAM STAFFING REQS
- Ensures that, at no time direct care nursing staff be less than 2 full-time equivalents, one of which must be a registered nurse per nursing unit.
- Provides an adequate number and mix of staff that are consistent with the nursing staffing plan and to meet the care, treatment and service needs of the patient.
- Communicates staffing adjustments to the established schedule, which occur as a result of absenteeism, illness, or personal reasons.
- Plans and coordinates the 6 week schedules of the nursing department employees and their daily assignments while meeting established scheduling and staffing deadlines. This also includes the monitoring of nursing staff scheduling including communication with staff nurses.
- Monitors data input and tracking of annual in-service, certification, and licensure records for all nursing personnel and reports non-compliance to manager/supervisors.
- Enters data into the computer and generates reports, including graphs and charts. Maintains statistical data and staffing records. Assists with projects, surveys, and inquiries as assigned.
- Participates in departmental meetings.

The Dickson Heart Intensive Care Unit (DHICU) at Carolinas Medical Center is a 20-bed, high-acuity cardiac ICU specializing in the management of patients requiring advanced cardiovascular care and invasive hemodynamic monitoring. This fast-paced, highly specialized unit treats patients with complex conditions including ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), acute decompensated heart failure, end-stage heart failure, and cardiogenic shock, many of these patients require advanced therapies such as LVAD or heart transplantation.
Registered nurses in DHICU are experts in the management of critically ill cardiac patients and are trained in the care of advanced mechanical circulatory support devices. These include intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), Impella, and durable LVAD/RVAD systems.
The unit fosters a collaborative, high-performance environment focused on delivering evidence-based care, ensuring patient safety, and supporting optimal clinical outcomes for a complex cardiovascular population.
We’re Looking For:
· Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
· Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates.
· Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
· Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
· ACLS Required within 6 months of hire
· 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred

Assembles IV fluid sets and transducer sets for anesthesia use per protocol.
Cleans all anesthesia equipment after use per departmental protocol.
Ensures all equipment, parts, and supplies are in working order, (monitors cables, leads, blood warmer, blood pressure cuffs, doppler probes, tubing, cannisters, airway carts and equipment), as well as calibrates and records results of daily equipment checks.
Assists the Anesthesiologist with the placement of lines, and is available during critical times (airway emergency, trauma, code blue).
Maintains supply inventory and assists with stocking equipment room throughout the shift.
Positions patients for anesthetic procedures.

4 Tower is a Hematology Oncology and Oncology ICU at Carolinas Medical Center. We have 30 beds, 8 of which are ICU capable. We care for patients with Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Multiple Myeloma, during initial diagnosis, chemotherapy administration, neutropenic fevers, and complications that result in hospital admission. In our ICU beds, we care for any oncology patient that needs a higher level of care, hematology, solid tumor, and post stem cell transplants. Our patients tend to have multiple admissions for chemotherapy or stay inpatient for an extended period, as a result, the patients and their families build relationships and show appreciation for the care the nurses provide during this incredibly difficult time in their lives. 4 Tower is known for incredible teamwork, empathetic nursing staff, and opportunities to grow and learn from experienced nurses and providers (APPs and Physicians).
We’re Looking For:

$38.20 - $57.30Where You Will Work:
The Mattei Cardiothoracic Surgery ICU (CTICU) provides inpatient care to adult and geriatric patients on a 24-hour basis. Common diagnoses for these patients include, but not limited to: CABG, minimally Invasive CABG, valve repair/replacement, orthotopic heart transplant, ventricular assist device (VAD) placement, aortic aneurysm repair, congenital heart defect repair, and thoracotomy. Care is provided to listed population during the acute intensive care phase immediately following surgery.
CTICU utilizes the following diagnostic and therapeutic services to facilitate patient care: nursing assessments and evaluation, administration of prescribed medications, EKG/hemodynamic monitoring, intravenous therapy (including titration of vasoactive and inotropic drips), maintenance of IABP, right and left VADs including impellers and ECMO, fluid and electrolyte balance, CRRT, ventilator support, respiratory care, safety management, nutritional support, family and patient education, infection control, skin care, standard precautions, point of care testing, and discharge planning.
We’re Looking For:
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS required within 6 months of hire
1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
